I am disconcerted at EF's bad mood! I am developing a "collective conscious" theory that states certain people get grouchy because they catch the grouchy thought of many others who are being grouchy at the same time , and then *BOOM* a volcano blows. I am proud of my theory.

(goes to check the "question-o-meter") And the pointer points to... "yes" Is it kosher to allow my stories to languish for so long? -
Me either, I guess. My van did have electronic 4 wheel drive, but it was, nevertheless, a van. I have never been very diplomatic.

Soulsearcher's been cut off. It's the only explanation for her lengthy absence. (How long has it been now? 10 hours?) Poly?

I am no longer allowed to keep my opinions to myself, and neither am I allowed to mutter them to anyone besides the object of my discontent. for I have found that If I Do, they fester within me like the bubonic plague of opinions. Whereas I am now freely expressing my views, I must forgo all friends and amicable relationships.

stupid, cock-sucking computer! I know I promised not to swear, but I had a couple of paragraphs, and then *boot* off I went, and lost it all. Grr. Now, try to recall last five minutes...um. Well, as I was saying, I am au naturale, since having anything sharp and metal in a place I can't quite see what the hell I'm doing makes me rather nervous. I've trimmed now and then, but again, I feel I can't quite see what the heck it is I'm doing. And well, only one person, theoretically, is allowed that close to my twat anyway, and as for bathingsuits, meh, I've done the bikini line a few times, but only when absolutely necessary. I hate the pimples that explode the next day, and make me itch like a monkey. It's crazy and not worth the pain.

Patience, Grasshopper, the dreams, they will come. My husband used to write every single dream down, even the ones in the middle of the night. He filled a shelf full of journals (they're gone now, housefire) He said he didn't notice that he had dreams until he started doing this, then he was surprised by how much he did dream. As for me, like in any story, I am all the characters. Usually, for sexual ones, I focus mostly on the woman's experience, although there are some really Weird dreams I've had, like the one of The Three Guys (Chapter 6) where I am a bird. (warning, intensely personal)

well then. In my opinion, having surprisingly never encountered a Marysue before or ever hearing of such a thing until I burst upon the virtual writing scene but a mere year ago, I understood exactly what was meant when MS was mentioned, then became befuddled by the many variations thereof. I still like my own definition best. A superficial character, self-absorbed, and obsessed with their own impact on others rather than caught up in all the anxieties and worries that are the reality of life. It's the world of the 20 year old woman through the eyes of someone much younger. I remember sitting on the floor in my Grandmother's house while my aunt and uncles sat around the table drinking and laughing and playing cards, and I remember, in my 2 year old mind, thinking: "WOW, they Know So MUCH!" My little being was filled with admiration for their astounding abilities. I thought: "When I Get To That Age, I, Too, Will Know Everything!" Well, those dreams came to a shattering halt, didn't they?

Don't mean to be nit-picky (but its just that time of the month, mel), both "mary-sues" I read were actually written by men. (or boys, more accurately), which I think contributed to my idea that m/s's are shallow and powerful because they are percieved by the author to be so. The men characterizations in one fic were actually more fleshed out, and in the other, the men were just as m/s as the woman. I think I must have been guilty of writing m/s's when I was younger and didn't have as much life experience, although my brothers all were quick to be mean enough to turn me off guys for a long time. (When I met my SO, I was like, "so what? you're just a boy!" He had to do quite a bit of convincing.) ER, kind of rambled there. sry.

Holy Crap! I didn't realize FF Tactics had such an intense story line. My daughter played it all the time, and when I peeked in on her, the characters seemed kind of chibi to me....(just googled a couple references, but no, I don't get how the calculators get tied in with this St. Ajora....) do you suppose the next person knows? -
^ bad girl. Very naughty. < (is that what was in the salmon? I thought it was celery) V not a fishy sort of person

Into worlds of their own creation. That's poetic justice. Where do all the calculators go?
