I don't think so. G/NG has had a dream that they woke up from and thought was real. (I took a nap and dreamed my brother got back from Man of the Year and told me it sucked. So when I woke up and he was on the couch, he went to tell me about the movie and I interrupted him saying I knew already.)

I wrote nearly 40 naruto oneshots, because writing an epic with someone else's characters didn't appeal to me. Still, I tried to throw in at least some semblance of humour/plot into every piece I did because the smut was no fun to write without it. I was one of the few het writers in the series who was willing to experiment with different characters and accepted ideas and requests (which ended up getting ignored outright if they didn't spring an idea within thirty seconds of reading them) from the readers. After 19 completely het pairings, and all my warnings saying it was a het archive I received a "This is great but a Kakashi Gaara (which would be yaoi) would make it better!" I was completely dumbfounded that anyone could have so little pattern recognition.

I read my first piece of Fanfiction after reading this forum, and I have to say I'm rather proud of it, I went back even further and read some of the creative writing I did in first year, I'm really fucking proud of that. And then I picked up a shortstory I did in high school and my eyes nearly bled.

I just posted my fic on multiple sites to get more feedback, I felt that more feedback would make me a better writer and because original stories just don't get the volume of hits that Naruto got me.

And Quamp: I don't understand American politics in the first place, every candidate seems to be either a neutered liberal or a frothing conservative. I have never understood how someone could live away from the ocean.

DST was invented by police and politicians, before there were electric lights, wanted to cut back on fuel costs and crime, having people going to bed sooner after the sun went down encouraged this. Farmers, specifically ranchers, hate DST because animals don't understand why their feeding schedule is an hour late. On a serious note, I'd vote Gaius Baltar for president if I were part of the last fleet of humanity. Why can't all tv be as good as Battlestar Galactica?
