She may very well be in college, but she was underage when she joined. Her birthday is September of 1993. Which means she had no business at this site until then.
Her registrations were on these dates:
    5/17/2009 - 15 years old
    6/15/2009 - 15 years old
    6/30/2009 - 15 years old
    10/25/2009 - 16 years old
    12/11/2010 - 17 years old
    5/27/2011 - 17 years old
    7/16/2011 - 17 years old
There were NO registrations by this user when she was of age to do so. NONE.
It is plastered all over the damn site that you MUST be 18 or older to use it. It has been for years.
So, either the user willfully ignored this, or she can't read. As I expect this user can indeed read, you can see she willfully ignored this. This rule is not in place for shits and giggles. Nor is it in place for the mods to get their jollies off by deleting people. This rule is in place to protect the site and the people attached to it.
Once again, as she was underage when she registered, and underaged when she posted the bulk of her work, it's her OWN damn fault she got deleted. When rechecking by story ID out of 16 stories posted, only 3 were posted after she was 18. She KNEW better.

::nods:: I try to read outside the fandoms I write when I can. Most of my reading time lately is taken up by moderating in the archive, but hopefully I can squeeze in a read or two.
But it is true that when you write for a niche fandom, like I myself do, reviews will be even fewer. That makes the reviews I do get even more cherished, especially if the reviewer has taken the time to offer me some helpful criticism or even to let me know what worked.

Sadly, Guest_Leah, we're pretty used to dealing with immature morons who threaten to hold their breath unless they get their own way. It's all about them and what they want, or didn't you know that? The world owes them a favour and it's our duty to trip over ourselves to accommodate them, even if that means us risking jail time. So in the future, when you come across one of these childish numb-nuts, you'll know to commence your deferential kowtowing immediately, since they deserve it you know!

Sometimes an author needs to add tags to a story which has evolved in a way they didn't anticipate, and we all get that, but the tags should be put at the top of the first chapter if they won't fit in the summary field. Putting them at the top of each chapter only works for drabble collections and round robins.

Flashbacks. They can be a wonderful way to bring in some back story, or illuminate a character's motivation or reasons for reacting a certain way. But I need to rant just a teensy bit...
Flashbacks should not need to be announced. Please. It's disruptive, and drags me right out of the flow of a story. I'm reading along happily, and there it is. The clue-by-four, in all caps and bold lettering. FLASHBACK. Now I've come to a full stop, and I'm yanked right out of my immersion in the story, and that's not fun at all.
If you've been using a regular font, italics can serve to highlight a flashback. Really. It's how it's generally handled in the books you buy in bookstores. Or set it off another way, if you've already reserved italics for characters talking to themselves and bold lettering for mental telepathy. But please... no great big warnings that we are entering the flashback zone.

BW sighed and finished her bourbon, setting the glass down carefully. Watching Foe had given her an idea, slightly on the risky side since she could not shift to her more powerful draconic form without wrecking Sanctuary. Still, even in this weaker, more fragile form, BW could count on being a great deal faster than the Tzu wielding that Mordenkrad. While the two-handed hammer could deal a devastating blow, it was not a fast weapon, and even the battle trained Tzu could not make it move as lightly as a feather. On the other hand, an agile female in drow leathers could get well inside the arc of the Mordenkrad, rendering it nigh useless.
BW grinned without a shred of humor, her eyes faintly red in the dim light of Sanctuary as she sized up her chosen target. She left her daggers sheathed. They would only get in the way right now, and the last thing BW needed was to get snagged or hooked up on anything. This all depended on moving faster that the fucking hammer. I'm getting too fucking old for this shit, BW snarled to herself. It's easier to just eat the bitches.
BW strode out of the shadows, moving with easy confidence as her chosen Tzu turned toward her, the Mordenkrad already moving upward. It seemed almost preposterous that such a fragile looking pair of wrists could maneuver the brutal hammer so easily, but this was a Tzu, after all. BW snorted to herself. As an Author, these little bitches were just an affront to all things literary, in her opinion. BW contented herself with smiling sweetly at the Tzu, and watching the very faintest suggestion of a frown mar the porcelain perfection of the Tzu's forehead. There was a minute hesitation in the hammer's upward swing, a barely perceptible wobble, and BW suddenly darted forward, closing the gap faster than the Tzu could swing.
BW ducked, coming back up not only inside the arc of the hammer, but inside the Tzu's arms as well. Without any hesitation, BW took the Tzu's face between her hands and kissed her, taking advantage of the Tzu's gasp of surprise to thoroughly plunder her mouth, BW's tongue stud teasing at the Tzu's lower lip as BW nibbled it.
Pulling away in horror, the Tzu shrieked, "You can't do that! You're a... a WOMAN!"
BW chuckled and tugged the Tzu back into another searing kiss, her fingers digging talon-like into the Tzu's scalp.
The Tzu wriggled out of the kiss, all but sobbing. "This is all wrong! I'm supposed to be kissed by the brooding hero who never shows his heart except to me because I have the power of the Magic Healing Vagina that can make him turn into a romantic Prince!" She wiped her mouth frantically. "I'm not into GIRLS!"
"Really?" BW purred, slipping her hands down and grabbing the Tzu's perky ass. "That's too bad, because I promise you, I could make you forget all about your prince." BW leaned in for another kiss, and the Mordenkrad fell to the ground as the Tzu disappeared with a last sobbing shriek.

You heard from me last night in the forum, but to put it here as well (for that extra credit), loving someone is not something you turn off and walk away from when things get tough. At least, not for me.
Your professor stated that people require sex and/or companionship and therefore could not sustain a one-sided relationship with a loved one in a coma. Either your professor is playing devil's advocate, or is a hopeless cynic. If the latter, my deepest condolences.

Hmm. This is a pretty broad request, since xenophilia can be defined as anything from an interest in other cultures and/or races to an interest in other species entirely.
It would help if you could narrow the parameters just a bit. Is the story science fiction, or fantasy based? If science fiction, are you contemplating extraterrestrials or simply scientific experimentation? All of these could (and have) been adapted to include tentacle porn, so that part of your request sort of goes without saying.

BronxWench got a reaction from DemonGoddess in Post your character description here!
    Character Description:
    Name: BronxWench
Race: Unknown. Appears human but can shift to a red dragon at will
Age: Unknown. Aside from silver hair, can be taken for late 30s
Height: 5' 5" but looks taller
Hair: Silver-white, slightly wavy, falls to mid-back
Eyes: Very dark brown, with a slightly slitted pupil
Build: In human form, slender and fine boned, but is much stronger physically than she appears. In draconic form, a fully adult red dragon, capable of breathing fire.
    Personality:
Sarcastic, often impatient, and has a pathological dislike of Sues. Can be very patient with friends and is loyal, both to people and to causes she espouses, which are remarkably few. She is fond of elaborate armor, in particular drow elven armor, and prefers daggers when she needs to resort to weapons.
    Abilities:
In human form, she is an adept fighter in hand to hand melee combat and uses her deceptive strength to good advantage. She is fast and agile, with almost preternaturally fast reflexes, and has above average hearing and sight. She is also quite charismatic, and can often sway an opponent with her words when violence is not the prime option.
In draconic form, she is capable of flight, can breath fire and has considerable resistance to both magical and non-magical attacks. Her scales are nearly impervious to most weapons, although she is susceptible to cold-based attacks. Her talons can penetrate and tear steel, including armor and most vehicles. Her teeth can crush bone easily, and she can digest the most saccharine of Sues with ease.

Thank you! I'm really glad these two can transcend the game setting. It means I'm doing something right!
    Fairy Slayer:
As my favorite paladin keeps telling me, good will always triumph, right? And I'm glad the character growth is working as well. I'm sometimes on shaky ground there, so this is good to hear!
Long term is a relative thing for these two. Surviving the Joining means they have about 30 years to live, before they succumb to the taint themselves. Their mastery of it is a temporary thing. But Wraith would be quite happy to spend those 30 years with Alistair, if fate (and an evil author-type wench) permits.
