Circumvent that by heating the meat and the starches separately. Far too many mouths and tastebuds have been laid low by the plotting of the evil tater legion.

Sadly in my case it was a soup, leftovers from the night before, so when I reheated it, the taters became incendiary devices, but the beef was just like “Nah, we’re good with pisswarm”. I wonder if I should start to boil the potatoes separately so I can reheat the soup well, and not get killed by fecking potatoes.

Stews. The potatoes in stews are homicidal little shits. No other veg I add ever holds the heat like those freaking potatoes. And this is exactly why my Viking ancestors pillaged my Irish ancestors.
