Okay, I’m first up.
If a human being in a spacesuit gets too close to a star before rescue. Ala inadvertently vented off into space already in a spacesuit but too late to reach the escape pods from a asteroid collision with the space station  and essentially slingshotted towards the sun.
I know there should be some thermal/radiation damage. But is there anything else I should be aware of?

A)One of the darkest aspects of Harry Potter’s world is that love potions are readily abundant and heavily used to the point there had to be several wizards/witches who had to develop cures or other tricks to circumvent.
D&D/ Pathfinder/ D20 systems have charm magic which forces the afflicted to view you, your words and actions in the most favorable ways barring blatantly suicidal orders or outright harmful ones. Aka. Best friend forevers at least until the effect wears off. The Bigger Badder version with a prison record Is Dominate Person/ Monster in which the effect is outright mindcontrol. Both of these completely compromise a victim’s free will and belong to Coercion.  The former implies a widespread date rape culture in which witches are the targeted demographic if by the sheer variety young witches are given access to is any indication.
The latter is one of the reasons why the horny bard trope is so abundant.
There’s no way to mince words, Any method of enforcing your desires on others is a moral event horizon. They’re a villain.

New Part! More insight into what Harry's feeling - so is his inability to hate a sign that he's been kind of desensitised by it all?
Possibly just me, but when Argus was described as having a fetching face I thought there might be a pun of getting him to fetch something. I mean, there was that well volunteered line... ok,yeah, just me.
 
Haha. Alot of fics focus on Harry being the Master Of Death as what makes him special. But what really makes Harry Potter OP is his great capacity for love. That which Voldermort has no knowledge of. Canon wise Harry doesn’t hate Voldermort but rather views him in this light of pity(For being unable to love) and he showed great compassion by even offering Voldy himself a last chance. Harry is actually pussiant and adept with this very unknown branch of magic.
As in taking one for the team and taking the killing curse granted his allies sacrificial protection to the point that at the very end of the battle of hogwarts Voldmort wasn’t able to affect any of his allies for very long. In his last moments Voldy gone Moldy was practically powerless in that final battle.
Voldermort was for lack of a better term was Harry’s love born Horcrux from the very moment wormtail took his blood. Since by doing so he took Lily’s sacrifice into his body. Essentially. Unless, Harry was consumed by fiendfyre, bitten by a basilisk without a phoenix nearby or possibly even kissed by a dementor.(Which likely would have taken Voldy’s soul fragment instead) Voldermort was the only one able to kill Harry. (Nothing says stupid quite like as giving your enemy protection that only you can break.)  Each was truly the other’s source of immortality however inadvertent.
Harry is so far the only one in relative safety in this story everyone else is fair game.
Harry may be seventeen in this story but he’s still learning about sexuality and he really doesn’t know how to feel about Argus’s sexual advances and whether or not they’re wanted. But one could definitely say Argus’s wandpolishing skills are indeed Outstanding.

Thanks for the review! I’m glad you’ve had a second crack at it as InBrightestDay has some super cool horror atmosphere in there.
I finally read Of Mice and Men during the last few months. Can absolutely see some similar characteristics there, I suspect that story set the template that sheer pop culture exposure has led to similar characters feeling alike. At least Cody didn’t shoot Todd in the head. Would probably have been a little out of character.
This is definitely more one for InBrightestDay to answer – but I guess I’d say After Party would be the best one to start folks with, with it being purely InBrightestDay’s take on ‘em and, yeah, the fact that the other one has a buncha sex definitely has some AFF appeal. Yua not turning out to be a yaoi fangirl and getting the guys to blowbang Cody probably a good thing really. Also out of character for a start.

That coulda worked! InBrightestDay’s current collaboration with another author has had some smoking hot bits so it would probably have been mostly his guidance on the sex stuff anyway – I mean, with it being his characters he’s got a better feel of what they do to each other.

So, now for my reply!
Revealing my own literary ignorance, I’ve never actually read Of Mice and Men.  I do really need to get around to that at some point.
My personal recommendation would be for After Party to come first.  I think the tension in the first part of After Party at least partly comes from not knowing who or what Yua is, and the spoiler might lessen that early fear.  Parlor Games, I think, works perfectly after being spoiled, just in a different way.  Knowing who Cody and Yua are, in my opinion, makes for a kind of anticipation when the brothers show up at the house, with the audience knowing fully just how screwed these people are, and it might even make some lines (Yua’s “I wasn’t expecting to have a meal delivered”) considerably funnier.
That was all @JayDee.  I mentioned I felt kind of bad for Todd after Yua sent him running, and JayDee came up with this epilogue showing how Cody helps him get to safety.  Completely agreed on Auntie Pearl, who’s a wonderfully colorful character.
 
They’ve probably done some stuff on the couch before, so it would have been possible for Chad and Ricky to look in the window and find them making out or engaged in foreplay (I figure they’d probably move to the bed, or Yua would haul him up into the web, before things went too far).
As for teaming up with JayDee to do something erotic, I did have an idea recently.  Not sure if I should do it, but it would be set after WitS (I know; I’ll be working on that tonight ), as well as its immediate sequel New Year’s Visitation, and it would involve revisiting an old joke JayDee and I shared one time, only maybe a little bit more serious this time around…

Fair enough, it is your story. My suggestion come from that  I would argue that in reality there deeper levels to whythe wicked might need forgiveness than just that we are taught to forgive them. It is also a pretty good chapter title IMHO.

Anyway forgiving a person for what he did is IMHO very different from getting an excuse because you caused bad things to happen. When your lead person would do it again...sounds kind similar to an excuse to me.

I am not surprised that we are having this kind discussion since we probably come from very different social circles. I remmember a discussion back in school when we had read Crime and Punishment and the active Christians had read forgiveness as major theme in the book while many of the other totally had missed this angle when reading the book. This background made us view the text in very different ways.

It’s been a good minute since I’ve had a chance to pop on here to reply, but your suggestion hit the mark! I wound up going with “Forgiveness Goes Both Ways.” Thanks, everyone, for your advice and time. Until next time!

It’s easy to see why I never went anywhere with this, but good luck if you ever do try it! Though got a few other fics to do first, right?
