  1. (crickets chirping) ... No one's going to apply through here, are they?
  2. Oh, now don't start that again! Thus ends the diatribe between the vultures from Disney's The Jungle Book. Sourcream by Flaming Feline, Originals, Erotica/Sex: The narrator is a girl named Linda. She lives in a loving community where everyone gets fucked by everyone. Her daddy lovingly took her cherry when she was 5. She starts off the story at the age of 10. She is being fucked by her dad, mom, uncles, grandpa, her grandpa's two dogs, her teachers, and random old men in thee street plus their dogs. At that age, she includes 3 big black janitors to add on to her daily fucks. At the age of 13, her pussy is still hairless, to her parents' and teachers' delights. They like the look of a little girl. She loses her fisting cherry to her dad, and becomes addicted to fisting. She also drops out of school to follow her mom to work, where she gets fucked by a machine and a bunch of her mom's female co-workers. At 14, she gets a special birthday. She gets fucked by a horse and snake, gets ass-fucked by a dog for the first time, learns to take two fists up her pussy, and another fist up her ass. Somewhere in there, she also learns to take two fat cocks up her pussy. Yet for all of that, her pussy is still tight. All right people. You wanted squick? There you go. I hate FlamingFeline's work, but s/he hasn't been around in years, so I feel free to complain. What's the purpose of this forum again? I know it was originally made so those that managed to get in by purchasing a key worth 2000 points could get in to apply for moderator. Even then, we don't really need this for that purpose anymore. Most of the forums have a mod now, and the few who are interested in taking over the rest of the forums and are qualified to do so aren't going through the application process here.
  3. On January 1st, the AFF forums will have existed for one entire year. This past year, we've gone through a temporary shut-down that lasted much longer than expected, a change of staff both here at the forums and the main site, structural site changes, new skins, underagers, members leaving us... the list goes on and on. Yet, for all of that, AFF survived and its forum emerged to be an excellent one full of amazing members. The regular members are a close-knit bunch who don't cause trouble, the new tech team works hard and does an amazingly consistent job, and one of the site admins takes great care to make sure these forums don't disappear on us. We're assigning new moderators, all of whom are well-known, friendly, reasonable, trustworthy, and loyal members here at the AFF forums. The new emerging moderating team has all the signs of being a well-oiled machine in the days to come. For all of that, I'd just like to say - yay us! (meaning all of us here at the forums). We've survived one of the toughest times we're ever likely to go through, and we're very likely to survive for many more years to come. Right now, we're coming up with a lot of ideas to celebrate the anniversary. The basic events have already been decided upon, including a contest or two, a birthday theme, and a chance to take advantage of us staff members . When the details are finalized, we'll post a sticky here at Aimless Babble, so be sure to keep an eye out for that. Happy Anniversary!
  4. 10/14 nikola, dazzled, Nekkid, shame on you! Can't you be more creative than that? If it were up to me, I'd disfigure her face and body first then throw a bunch of ugly clothes on her. Then I'd put her in a room full of people who survived 9/11, people whose loved ones died in 9/11, extreme leftists, Democrats, Muslims who speak English, shrill Iraqi housewives, and leftist/democratic journalists/reporters/prolific authors. The wallpaper would be an Islamic green covered with groovy flowers, peace signs, blue donkeys, and crescent moons and stars all over the place. The room would smell like incense and sweat. There'd be newspapers in Arabic and English waved in her face. She wouldn't understand the Arabic, but the English articles would shock her. She'd fight her way through the room, both physically and verbally, but there'd be no exit. No way out, not even death. She'd be trapped in that room for all eternity.
  5. The basic rules for the forum have already been posted above, so this is just to clarify those rules and to discuss additional rules. If you want to know more about me as a moderator, you can check out the pinned intro at Writers' Corner. There are overlapping gray areas between this forum and others. I'll tackle the ones that I can name off the top of my head. - If you want constructive criticism for something that you've already posted at the AFF archives, ask for it here. If you have not posted it at the archives, but you want constructive feedback beforehand, post your topic and the excerpt over at Fiction Betas. The before/after aspect is important. - If you want to write an article about how to write a review, and you want to gather information from others, do it here instead of at Writers' Corner. I realize that the latter forum is stated as the ideal place for research on writing, but this particular topic is more strongly related to reviews and the reviewing process. - If the reviews are related to a specific fandom, and you want to discuss only that fandom as opposed to reviews in general (such as verifying canonization), then maybe you should post in the forum which correlates to the archive your fandom is in. -If you want to thank a specific person for a review you've received, or reply to a specific reviewer, don't do it here. We have a PM system for that. Use it. Any topics started on that basis alone will be deleted. If you thank someone for a review or reply to a specific reviewer as part of a post but the rest of the post stays on topic, then that's fine. That's all I can think of, but let me know if there are others. As I said before, this area is to discuss reviews, whether it's the ones you've received, reviewing tips, or review-whoring. You're not limited to reviews on AFF. If you want to quote reviews you've gotten from other sites on a fic, go ahead. The main thing is to make sure that you're on-topic the whole time. Plenty of us quote reviews for non-adult-rated fics, or reviews for the fics we've cross-posted between AFF and another site. Usually, the poster quotes a review that is relevant to the topic, so I'm not going to complain. There's really not much else to add concerning the rules for this forum. So go ahead and browse now.
  6. I realize that a lot of us, myself included, are post-secondary students, post-graduate students, or teachers. No matter which part of the world you're in, you end up having a set of important exams around this time of month. In that case, I'd just like to wish everyone good luck with the exams. Good luck to the students on writing the exams and passing. Good luck to the teachers on grading them.
  7. No problem! Just remember to advertise the article once it's posted if you keep encountering that problem. I'll post the link the moment it's up. sweetblood and I have run into some delays because we're both dealing with our final exams.
  8. I don't think the comment was offensive at all. In fact, I agree with you on the whole cleanliness bit, if only because I enjoy my fantasy as long as there's a little bit of reality injected into it. As for gay men acting girly, I think one of my friends put it well. "I'm Mexican and I'm gay. I have every right to be cheesy." He can be very masculine when he wants to be, but he loves to dress in drag once in a while just for the fun of it, as well as acting like "one of the girls". Being gay just gives him an excuse not to explain his actions to others. Maybe it's like that for other gay men who act "girly". He also keeps a douching kit around because, yes, sex can be disgusting if the asshole isn't clean. Condoms not only help with the cleanliness, they also help prevent STIs to an extent. I also have issues with the whole seme/uke, girly-boy, OOC gay characters/relationships in fanfiction. I also have issues with badly written lesbian relationships, but those seem to occur less often in fanfiction (the whole lesbian thing in general, that is). Maybe if the writer concentrated on developing each man as an individual outside of his sexuality, s/he could integrate the sexuality into the main personality more smoothly and realistically. Once that's settled, s/he could salvage the bad sex scenes to an extent.

    Funny Reviews?

Usually, I don't like the type of review that involves a conversation between two personas because they tend to come off stupid. This, however, was really funny, and I loved it. It gave me a good laugh just when I needed it. Usually, I can't stand the "Update!" reviews, but this one just struck me as funny in a good way for some reason. BTW, I'm just a wee bit upset at StoryJunkie for reviewing someone else's Brady Bunch fic but neither of mine.
  10. Actually, it's eveknight75 because LJ hates capital letters. It's easy enough to find me because I use the same username everywhere. I'm just simple that way.
  11. Sex Educators Plan Spray-On Condom Apparently, they want to create the ultimate one-size-fits-all condom. Just stick your penis in a can, press the button, and presto! Your penis is coated in a rubber condom and you're all ready to go. It's 100% effective and so much easier than the condoms we have on the market right now. I have only this to say to Jan Vinzenz Krause: Mein Gott, Mann! Was in aller Welt dachten Sie?
  12. Now the question is, do I want to taste the black stuff that's solely for East Canada? I don't think I do. I hate Twizzlers as it is, and I've never understood the appeal of licorice. Hell, it was bad enough tasting the international version of IRN-BRU. I once drank some black stuff which was a combination of red grape juice, blueberry juice, and blackberry juice, with a few drops of food coloring mixed in. It tasted great! (Apparently, being random is a symptom of adult-fic withdrawal combined with exam stress. Maybe I shouldn't attempt to write fanfiction right now.)
  13. I thought my post had explained the concept. Guess not. IRN-BRU is the level above lemon when it comes to citrus. The ultimate level in porn, so to speak. That's why you should be prepared to get squicked if the IRN-BRU label's in the summary. When Knorg mentioned rimshot, I ended up getting an image of a guy playing the drums while another guy licked his asshole. I need to take a break from the adult-fics. don't I?
  14. I remember one of the first gags anyone ever played on me in Canada. Somebody decided to pour IRN-BRU (pronounced Iron Brew) in a glass, told me it was urine, proceeded to drink it, then offered me some. I have no idea why, but I drank it. It didn't taste like licorice exactly. It was extremely citrusy. It's nastily sweet with an extremely sour aftertaste. There's orange, then lime, then lemon, then IRN-BRU. Does that clear it up for you guys? P.S. Apparently the stuff is popular in Scotland. Don't know why, even if they do eat haggis.
  15. I never said I was a teacher or planning to become a teacher. I said I'm an English major planning on becoming a lawyer. The closest I plan on becoming a professional teacher would probably be teaching as a professor at some university or college in the far-flung future. I have been a math and English tutor since I was 12, but I haven't done that since starting university last year, unless you count helping ESL students understand questions in English and beta-ing/giving writing advice to those who ask for it, to other members of fanfictions sites. Wait a minute... I guess that does make me a teacher of sorts. I just don't get paid for it. Oh well, I like helping others in whichever way I can. I had to wear a uniform in junior high and high school, and I don't think they really help when it comes to battling peer pressure and visible poverty issues. The difference in the quality of clothing still stood out, and there were still popularity/blending-in issues. I do approve of some of the things the military can teach you, but replacing regular school with military-style school isn't something that I can approve of at this point. I also agree that parents put too much pressure on teachers to have the schools teach their kids everything. There are some things that a school ought to help teach, such as social interaction amongst peers, and the wider range of info on STDs and contraception (you can't expect your parents to know everything about that) . However, things like basic social manners and "the talk" should be a parent's responsibility. I'm not surprised at the number of teachers on this site either. Many teachers tend to be writers and debaters by nature, from what I've seen.
  16. Hmm... I'm perverted enough to be completely OK with the comcept that one of my own teachers may be lurking around here. I'm majoring in English, but my main goal is to become a lawyer. Besides, that's a great way to get into law school. Fortunately, my university prefers to assign 4 papers and 2 exams per year in the English department, so I don't get swamped down. No, it's the amount of reading that gets to the students, but I don't mind it at all. By the way, if you're a lawyer and a parent, does it piss off the teachers and principal if you can't help but have legal knowledge?
  17. I don't know about the rest of Canada, but here in Toronto you get what you pay for as far as health-care goes. It's free but man is it crappy! When it comes to the important stuff, you have to wait for months before you can get treated properly, and the emergency rooms are overcrowded. As for immigrants, it's the same situation here. They let in the doctors only to have them become cab drivers. I saw this one commercial for the province of Ontario supporting immigration, crap about how they offer you skills training and language classes so you can share your work experience. I laugh out loud every time I see that commercial. They make up this crap about how you need Canadian experience in order to get a job in any lucrative career area. We're short on nurses but the trained nurses that come in from other countries are turned down in the hospitals. I suppose at the moment that most areas in Canada do have it better as far as education goes, but it's not that much better. If you want an overall better quality of life, I'd suggest going to Switzerland, Holland, India, Japan, or Singapore, depending on your desired profession. Canada may have a better economy than the United States at the moment, but it's not a significant difference.
  18. The above is a review I had gotten here at AFF. It really is nice to be appreciated for using proper spelling and grammar. One of my readers also e-mailed me with a translation beta request (she translated but wasn't sure the English was all right and wanted to have it compared to the original language version). She told me that she loved the fact that there was proper spelling and grammar in my fics because as a non-native of English it was really hard for her to understand most fics because she was still learning the language. Some of the other nice non-concrit reviews I've gotten include: These are some of the reviews from FF.Net. A lot of the time we gripe about reviews that we don't like. Rarely do we take the time to appreciate the reviews we do like. This is a great thread idea, and came at a perfect time.
  19. You don't even need to be fully aware of the issues with Bush (though who isn't) in order to laugh at this political commentary. Flyer and Fryer died an honorable death for their country, and I salute them. Happy Thanksgiving everybody! (Yes, I still celebrate the American Thanksgiving even though I live in Canada)
  20. I actually appreciate my earlier work for what it is, even if there are some parts that make me cringe. I once wrote this short novel for school (15 pages including crappy illustrations) about two teenage girls who bought hair products that turned their hair green, orange, or purple. Thing is, it wasn't supposed to do that. The girls tried to contact the company but the contact numbers were defunct. So the girls got together a huge group of teen victims to track the company down and bring it to justice, as well as wrangling free antidotes out of them. It's a good storyline, but the girls' dialogue was completely valley-esque and they both had a habit obsessing over clothes and talking on the phone too much. Then again, it was pretty good, considering I was 8 years old when I wrote it and had no idea what the average teenager was truly like. I also remember a short story I did in the 9th grade. I wrote the thing in 15 minutes, and felt it was vague and urply. There's no actual names for the characters, and a lot of the grammatical structures could be considered old English. The entire English department begged to differ. With my permission, it was passed around for opinions. The majority thought it was done by a professional gothic short story writer. Later, it was published in one of those school board creative writing contest anthologies - the ones that the students don't get paid for and no one ever reads. All right now. I'm going to try really hard to remember something crappy that I've written. I've got it! It wasn't written, but I made it up and shared it by mouth. When I was 6, I made up a story about a princess who didn't ever want to get married to a dumb old prince who was overly persistent and being forced upon her by her parents, so she ate tons of beans and kept farting to drive him away, because he was a strong believer in "going to the bathroom is a sin", and he hated Mexicans with a passion. It was supposed to be funny, but it was just plain gross, even for a 6-year-old. I hate that story, but that's a part of me that I'm trying to channel right now. I've always had trouble doing plain old humor (I can be sarcastic or witty, but that's just about it). I know it was gross, but the part of my brain that came up with that is the same part that may be able to write slapstick or something that's just funny without having to use some kind of "intelligent" reference. Apparently, I've been telling stories since way back when I was 3, but my memories before I was 4 years old are extremely fuzzy. I'm told that I was always good for my age. Still, I think it's best to leave your older stuff lying around, even if it is online. It's a testament to how far you've come since then, and how you've developed. And no matter what, no story of yours is 100% crappy, age consideration or not. The "princess who farts after eating beans" story I'd consider 88% crappy. It can't be 100% because I actually used an excellent voice and tone plus good spelling and grammar.
  21. I'm in, my intro there takes forever to read, and I do notice the quiet ones precisely because I'm not quiet though I used to be during my entire life before university.
  22. That would be nice. You already know me well enough to not to have to be wary of making me a mutual friend. BTW, horrorgal, I couldn't find you under this name or your pen-name. Add me and I'll make it mutual.
  23. Thanks for clearing that up, DA! Iggy, I know how hard it is to search for anything on the LJ site. That's precisely why I put the link there - to make things easier. Now to go join the community. It shouldn't be too hard to get in, seeing as how my b-day's visible on the profile and my entire LJ is dedicated to fic update news for both sites. Hell, you just need to read the latest entry to see that I'm a member of AFF. BTW, I've added Iggy and DA to my friends' list. Couldn't find the other names yet, but I'm still searching. My LJ ID is eveknight75, so I'll be relatively easy to spot, seeing as how I use the same ID everywhere when it comes to fanfiction.
  24. At least you recognized one name. The thing is, I'm not sure fanfictionaxis is Jaxxy. I compared the fandom interests, and none of the mods write for that same fandom, so that can't be it.
  25. I've just come across this community on LJ entitled official_aff. They claim that they're the official community for AFF on LJ, but I didn't recognize any of the members, including the maintainer. They do link to the main AFF site on their profile page, but I'm still a bit wary. I'm thinking of joining, but I want to be sure that they're not lying about their affiliation with AFF. So, are any of you with LJs actually members of this group, or have at least heard of them prior to this?
