Updating stories without sending them to the top of their category

Is there a way to update a story without sending it to the top of its category? I sometimes go in and correct errors that I find after a story is posted, but the new system treats these stories as though I’d added a chapter or something and sends them to the top. I don’t want to be unfair to the people who have posted new stories or chapters, so I’m wondering whether there’s a way to prevent this.1 point -

Suggest updating the age verification popup itself to have those steps listed next to it with “If you get stuck...”? Not sure the effort there, just an idea.1 point
