I’m sorry it took me a few days to get to this, but I discovered that @GeorgeGlass left a review for Meaningful Gifts! Thank you! 😊 It took me longer than anticipated to write it, even just considering this year, but I’m glad the extra time paid off! Thanks again! This in particular means a lot to me because it was one of the main focuses during the writing process. I don’t want to repeat what I said responding to JayDee too much, but the thing that kind of made this story, at least when it formed in my head, was that it’s the story of a life together. Lexi and Drew are siblings who, partly due to an unpleasant childhood, have been developing into a couple over the course of many years, so all of those little moments of deepening intimacy between them were an integral part of the story for me, and I’m really glad that worked for you. 😄 Yeah, I was trying to sketch out differences over the siblings, and when I wrote in Lexi drinking coffee as the mandatory Folgers Christmas commercial reference, it felt like a perfect opportunity to describe her little brother finding it gross. I’m really happy I finally got to show it to you all. Thanks for the review!

Hi! Apologies to Jashley for somewhat hijacking his thread, but… The home page of the archive is headed “Latest News” which is also linked to the Site Announcements on the forums. I think the cookies issue as far as losing everything is valid. Chrome (my browser of choice) used to allow me to delete specific cookies. It may well still do so, but I just threw in the towel and deleted everything. As far as the historical cache, Chrome differentiates between browsing history and cached images and files. I deleted the cached materials, but not the browsing history, and I was able to log in. I just had to do it a couple of times, because I was also in and out of the beta version, which was also setting cookies and cacheing files. When browsing in incognito mode, the browser will not allow cookies to be saved, so that’s why we ask that you turn off incognito mode until you’ve logged in and set the new site cookies. Once you’ve logged in, you can go back to incognito mode. I don’t know if this helps, but I do hope it will at least clarify.

You can go back to it afterwards. No matter WHICH browser, you must clear cache and cookies for ALL TIME. After doing the clear, close and restart your browser. Finally, you need to force refresh. (Press Ctrl+F5) “ If it is, I’m somewhat perturbed. I use this browser for a number of activities, some of which involve signing in, referring to memberships and all sorts of historic data. Do I have eto throw all that away to regain access to this site? Or is there a way in which I can clear the cache and cookies and so on that relate to just this site? If I really have to erase ALL my past history of ALL sites that I’ve used this browser on … well! I undestand that my problems are no skin off your nose but I may not be the only one confronted by this challenge! You have to disable the incognito/anonymous functions for this part. There’s a cookie the site sets that these functions interfere with. Once the cookie is set, you can go BACK to that browsing.

I had assumed that speaking the incantation would summon dragons & demons… it’ll remain unspoken & unwritten here.

Incognito mode is a browser setting. You would need to go into your setting on Chrome itself, and make sure you are not browsing in incognito mode. I would also recommend allowing third party cookies for the moment until you have logged in. You can turn them off again after you’ve accepted the AFF cookies at login. It’s also possible that any ad blockers you might be using could be causing an issue. You might consider whitelisting AFF on your ad blockers, or turning them off until you’ve logged in for the first time.

I didn’t even get to the point where I could accept cookies in Incognito mode.. The Yes button does not work to even continue. It has to be something systemic as it doesn’t work in any browser but it works on my phone.

DO NOT use the Incognito option while accepting the cookies and getting the new software going for you. Once you have done that, you can go back to it.
