Really really.
-
where? *blinks*
-
I'll be perched on my hill, waiting for the river to come visit...
-
The next time the daft bugger and I remodel the kitchen, if he even uses the word "white" I am going to whack him with a large skillet until he forgets that word entirely...

-
get him, BW!
-
what's wrong with white? shows the stains too much?
-
Every speck of anything shows instantly. I am a slave to my compulsive kitchen cleaning...
-
Looking at a week of good pool weather...Hooray!

I have begun the all too short season of basking in the warmth and sunlight, and banishing all memory of cold and snow...
-
At least your great nation has warmth and sunlight! Here they are but myths!
-
Too early for this to be it. Have faith there'll be more.

Sobriquet: noun: a descriptive name or epithet; nickname...

Yes, one more to go... and then we get to guess the theme. >.<

You've read the Scarlet Pimpernel as well Anesor? XD
-
OOdles of times, I even read one sequel from interlibrary loan, but it was forgettable. Alas!
-
Quidam: n. Somebody; one unknown...

I keep coming up with it as Latin...
From the OED:
Rare; L., f: qui;
From Bedell (1624):
Who were these quidams that laid hands on Scory?
Spenser (1579): So many vnworthy quidams, which catch at the garlond which to you alone is dewe. (eccentric spellings his for a change).
And Mountagu (1641): Some individuum vagum, a certaine quidam in the Clouds. (again, spelling his and not me).
-
Ahh, you found the spenser ref! I looked through and found it only in a latin phrase. Thanks for this It's especially useful because they show the word can properly sit in a sentence after "this" or "these" All of Spenser's spelling is pretty eccentric. He did some fun stuff tho'

Happy to help! ::big grin::

Happy Mother's Day!

I have met the challenge, and emerged victorious. No mere word will defeat me.

...of course, I'll be more impressed when I actually read it I except

...expect. ffs.
-
Heh,congrats. I'd be spinning down in flames if I wasn't already preoccupied.
-
Whoever left the bag of cliches and hackneyed metaphors next to my keyboard can have it back. On the bright side, I edited my prompt response to eliminate as many of those as possible. Ack...

It is damn hard writing without that missing bag, frankly my brain hurts as an upshot of it.
-
BW: E-napper? You can nap online now? AWESOME!
JD: Brain hurt ouch ungood.
-
Bunnies, bags.. what's next for your hyper-muse?

Some days you are the windshield, and some days you are the bug. Today I was the bug.

I understand that feeling, i started off as the windshield and ended the day as the bug. It's not fun to be the beg.
-
You mean we're supposed to get a turn being the Windshield? When does that happen?????????
-
I'll let you know...

You may feel free to do as you like, my dear. I'm perfectly happy with innuendo as well...
-
Perhaps they're after cuddles? Grooming? A bath?
-
You sound surprised your chocolate has personality. Perhaps it's dark chocolate.

So, that which does not kill us makes us stronger, huh? Next time, let the fates pick on me instead of my kid...

-
Wait, what! I'm terribly sorry to hear that, but I pray that it's not severe and easily controlled. (Not as easy for a kid, I can only start to imagine.)
Best of luck and hang in there.
-
FS, thank you! She's handling it well, maybe better than I am!
-
I hope she's doing better Bronx, It always sucks when the kids get sick.

I thoroughly endorse this point of view, for without the technical wizards we'd be staring at 404 messages all day

aw thankee. Working on the white page of doom for nonexistent stories and users too btw

Doom is always a good thing to work on.

We have had 56 inches of snow so far this season. That is enough to fill the Empire State Building 1,000 times.

I'll reserve the penthouse for you, my dear Harem Knight!
-
Excellent! I shall bring... no, I think you'll have enough ice. Pretties?
-
Always bring pretties! The more, the better...
-
Well, they were a little off. It was 15 inches of snow yesterday through this morning...
-
Local snow forecast is for 8 to 12 inches, and it's coming down like a mother already...FML.

You and me both! I was kissing the carpet when I got home, that's for sure!

SK: I know how hard that was for you to say, so thank you! ::pats spiky shoulder::

BW: That's all right, all that cold has to go somewhere and I'm hoping it's here...
-
It got warmer today. It needed to be warmer so it could snow.

That's why it's vengeance, my dear.
Also... "the nature"? Man, I have to stop posting at 7 am in the morning...
-
just remember, spring is warmer too. half a loaf...
-
If I could, I would go to where you live, and load up truckloads upon truckloads of snow, and bring it back home with me. D:
-
It was 7 degrees F when I got up today. That's -14 degrees C...

*can only fantasise about a weather that cold*

*can only fantasize about never having to endure such cold again*

Apparently, the answer is, move to Iceland, wench, move to Iceland. Only that cold a few days a year these days

Wondering if I will survive this winter...

Remember that comedy comes from a place of pain. (New York City alone is like a stellar nursery of comedians, but add some pain...!)
Soon you'll be laughing all the way to the bank. (In the cold, but at least you can afford coca and additives for when you get home.) Anyway, I hope things look up soon.
-
Wear more clothes? Wenches must make wardrobe sacrifices from time to time...
-
*shudders* I'm with you, when I came back from grocery shopping today, the wind chill was so bad it gave me a headache and took hours to warm up!
-
It's snowing here again. I may not survive until spring.

You can have it if you can take it.

When you need someone to dig you out of miles-thick snow, you know who to call.

LOL. Will do, ma'am!
-
awwwww, but snow is fun!
-
We have a warmer?? I knew I loved Harem Knights for a reason!
-
Another boil on the buttocks of mankind lanced, and it's justly deserved, as far as I'm concerned. Try actually writing what you post, thief. Most of us do just that. Oh, but you're special, aren't you? Special enough to belong in the Hall of Shame.
-
It's snowing...again...

We never get snow. I'm in the jealous category along with SK!
-
I hope it's stopped by now and hasn't made things worse. Have they at least picked up the trash yet? If not, can it be dumped in the streets to improve traction?
-
FS: I like the way you think! But alas, I'm reduced to using the handy bag of kitty litter in the back of the car...
-
We are snowed in for the moment. Oh, rapture...
