Yes, scariest thing ever! I am officially creeped out, especially because it occurred to me that some well-meaning volunteer might stick a pink bunny rabbit into the hospital bassinet, just to be friendly... 😱

The medicine of the nanite age is truly a thing of wonders.  Rudy will fix you up right as rain.
Its everybody’s favorite place down here at Rudy’s Playhouse
So open up your eyes as Rudy smiles wide and gazes deep inside
Hugging your DNA, It’s certainly a surprise

I am never, ever going anywhere near a pink bunny again. Ever.
I may avoid all people named Rudy just to be safe.
(You have a marvelously twisted mind, by the way. I like that!)

Now this was glorious! Nothing like a battle raging across the universe, and yet...
"If Aegis had but one regret in all his life... It was that the cats were making him look bad. "
Leave it to the savage little felines to rock it at the end!

Indeed! Even this small snippet and briefest view of just one front of just one single battlefield  I tried to capture how cosmic it truly was.
Felines have always been the first ally of the Gardeners. Even if this is from whence the angels came of the other holiday canon.

Oh, the research I had to do into pregnancy tests and why they may fail!  1) Age of the test itself, being old stock from before Lana was born, 2) Too late in the pregnancy, 3) Rose having irregular periods and a tendency to miss periods due to her nature of work (framing carpentry, for houses, buildings, etc).  And I needed the reasons into why Rose would dismiss the symptoms; A) belief that she was infertile due to her pastor’s prior assertions, B) the negative test, and C) locking onto the conclusion that she’s “possessed” by a demon to explain away the inevitable kicking that she’d feel.  This, of course, leads to the development I needed for Lana… no warning, “poof” there’s a little intruder in her world, the shift in attention – I’m saving her FULL reaction for another story, to setup her influence on Toby’s character.

InvidiaRed got a reaction from Deadman in What's the difference between an orgy and a gangbang?
Gangbang is usually #v1, Usually the goal is one of the two(three for the lucky lady) holes of the main attraction/ main actor with lesser emphasis on the hands and everything else for what you can reach. Some folks can share the above while others are strictly one hole one goal.
Orgy is when everyone is partaking of the fun/festivities at the same time.
Orgies can involve multiple of the above. Since orgy seems to be the most general term while Gangbang is the more nuanced specific one.

I think what you’re more asking is how they would interpret what they’re seeing, the cognitive aspect. Their eyes will function as well as any infant’s eyes, with focus sharpening rapidly. However, like an infant, they will have no frame of reference for what they’re seeing, if that makes sense.

My theory is the eyes would be cloudy at first, but would rapidly adjust and be capable of focus. If the mind retained all the knowledge of the original person, then there would be a frame of reference for what the clone was seeing, and they would be able to recognize things as they became clearer. Since this is all theory anyway, you could elect to have the vision clear as fast or as slow as your plot demands.

This is generally a good way to do it. Having written a few scenes like this so far, it’s been easier to know what I’m planning ahead of time in some detail. Although as I’ve gotten better at it, I get into more “without a plan” writing process. I have the participants figured out but then let the story take me where it wants to go.

I even have come to different conclusions about what the story is about and how it plays out. In one story that I haven’t posted yet, I originally had it as an AU story. When I finally got down to writing, I decided that I had to integrate more canon into it. Another one involved basing it on a throw away line the character said.

For the one I’m writing now, I will come up with an idea for something that happens later, write out a one sentence description, then detail it out when I get to that part. I also mapped out a series of events where different characters would get it on, had one or two lines of dialogue, then did the next one. Eventually going back and filling in the details.

It has to interest me for example one of my first fan fics.
Was a Skynet X John Connor. Alot of people tend to forget before everyone saw marvel bring multiverse to the public consciousness you need a really stacked out world built first and people use it very wrong. Just like that latest abomination of terminator. For John Connor is supposed to be a constant just as Skynet is inevitability bound intrinsically together. They are Judgement Day. Sarah Connor isn’t just John Connor’s mother. She’s also Mother of The Machines but I’ve gone on long enough on my tangent on the misuse of multiverse.
I do want to LOTR fic eventually finally getting comfortable with writing smut.

I did take the time to look over the spreadsheet prepared by some intrepid folks, and the bulk of the works were scraped from FFN and AO3. There was nothing that was linked directly to AFF, which just goes to show that writing smut pays off in peculiar ways.
My biggest concern is that many of our members cross-post stories here and on other sites, so it’s likely that someone from AFF is going to have a fic stolen. @GeorgeGlass is dealing with someone reposting his work and that of other AFF authors on a site where it looks like the poster might actually get paid for those bits of theft. What’s worse with this Plush Books situation is that fan fiction exists in a gray area of copyright law that allows the use of copyrighted material for certain purposes as long as the user doesn’t make any money from the work. The only one entitled to make any money is the owner of the copyrighted material, period. Plush Books is stealing from the copyright owner, and putting the very existence of fan fiction at risk.
The oddest thing of all is that I first heard about this from the blog of a published author, Martha Wells, who writes the insanely good Murderbot novels. She mentioned it on her blog, and when I saw the article from The Mary Sue, I was appalled. But I was also kind of glad to see a NYTimes bestselling author standing up for fan fiction writers.

This is beyond horrible that this “publishing house” got away with as much as they did.
In a fanfic or “derived work,” there are two entities who deserve credit and payment for the work; the author of the “original” work or universe, and the author of the derived/fanfiction work.  Full stop.  With original fiction, the sole entity entitled to credit and payment is the author of the work.
Doing what “Plush House” did is theft, pure and simple.  They should be criminally charged for it, and if convicted at trial should have everything taken from them.  There is certainly some legal doubt on who should be paid for fanfiction written without a license issued in advance by the original content creator.  However, there is no doubt that whomever should get the money, “Plush House” is not and never was it.
For the original works, there’s no doubt at all whatsoever.  Many people here have either received stacks of form-rejection letters personally, at least looked into vanity publishing, or both; and the rest of us have read of your travails in these forum posts.  Plush House have stolen.  They are thieves.
If they had stuck to cook books, then perhaps they could have made money quietly from the “Internet semi-lazy.”  Just get someone with a spatula and a word processor for editing and pizazz, and have at it.  Hell, I could have worked for them doing that, at least with some cuisine types.  If you publish it on the Internet, it isn’t really a “secret recipe” any more.  And, a talented cook and writer can change it up just enough to call it their own.  If you know how to cook, I’ve already posted a “secret recipe” in passing, and it’s just waiting to be made in your kitchen.
But, being the lazy over-achievers they allegedly are, they didn’t even bother to get releases or even offer token payment.  A plague upon their [publishing] house!

I came across this tidbit whilst surfing:  https://www.themarysue.com/publishing-house-plush-books-accused-of-stealing-dozens-of-fanfiction-works/
It looks like the alleged publisher is scraping stories from FFN and AO3, but since many of our authors also publish on those sites, I thought it might be worth posting this. It’s astonishing how low some folks will go.

One trick I do is to take a snippet of my stories, run them through google (with “” around it), see what comes up in the search results..
