dazzledfirestar Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I am explaining that MSV stands for "the Mary Sue Virus" which is a parady story I'm writing about myself and three of the other mods getting stuck in a HP Mary Sue fic. I am pointing to the link in my sig! Quote
Jadwin Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I am suddenly enlightened. I am also bookmarking said link for later tonight. Quote
NightScribe Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I am ecstatic to find that the Lyric is performing The Barber of Seville this upcoming season I am starting that The Barber is my all time favorite opera I am depressed that I don't know anyone who enjoys opera who will go with me, therefore I will miss it. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I am wishing that I lived near NightScribe, because I would go along. I am hoping Jadwin enjoys MSV! I am back from feeding my baby, btw. Quote
Jadwin Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I am freaked out at this MOTHER FUCKING SCORPION!! How did THAT get in the house!?!? Quote
redsliver Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I am glad there are no wild scorpions around here. Quote
Leonhart29 Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I am pointing to a post I did last night about a scorpion and a tarantula in my bathtub from yesterday. I am stating that if I had waited for the scorpion to finish its dinner it would still be there. I am allergic to scorpions so for the first time in my life I called my brother to take care of the creepy crawly. Quote
Jadwin Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I am normally able to take care of creepy crawlies, but when they get to the level of dangerous, I turn into a six-year-old girl. Quote
Leonhart29 Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I am able to take care of almost anything (including the errant rattlesnake) but the crater in my ass from the last time I came up against a scorpion has me shaking in my boots. Quote
NightScribe Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 I am finding it bizarre that two people have had scorpion issues so close together I am reminded of the WTF is that?!?! insect thing in my place two days ago I am stating that I do not live in the freaking Amazon, so there's no excuse for huge, unidentifiable bugs to be lurking about I am thanking Daz for her willingness to go the opera if she lived nearby, it makes me feel better Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 I am wishing I could actually go, NightScribe. I am finally getting some time to sit down and have some "me" time. I am of course, spending it writing. I am also very glad that I do not live in scorpion country. Quote
Guest Big Samurai Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 I am recalling that I had to read the non-opera version of The Marriage Of Figaro in French at one point or another. (I am also recalling that said play pertains indirectly to The Barber Of Seville.) I am a Midwesterner who has never seen a scorpion unless one counts the big ones on the National Geographic channel. I am content to smash the occasional spider. I am a mecha geek who is thinking that MSV normally means Mobile Suit Variation, that nice line of Gundam figures that one can buy. Quote
NightScribe Posted August 15, 2007 Report Posted August 15, 2007 I am relating to Big Sam that I have Beaumarchais' Figaro Trilogy (in English) I am stating I was always confused why Figaro went from being a self-employed dude (Barber) and then back into the employ of the count (Marriage) not to mention why Almaviva turned into such an by the second story Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 I am thinking there is a chance that I might be in bed by midnight. I am making my last post of the night to insure that happens. Quote
Guest Big Samurai Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 I am relating to Big Sam that I have Beaumarchais' Figaro Trilogy (in English). I am stating that the play I had to read must have been derived from that. I am equally confused as to how Figaro and his friends keep bumbling into continuity goofs. I am wondering if Arlequin appears in any of those stories. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 I am suffering from a case of the munchies... I am not high though. I am thinking that 1am is as good a time for a snack as any other. Quote
Leonhart29 Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 I am about to pull out moving crates and start packing. I am very thankful that I only have two rooms to move. I am now a member of LJ - and I'm hoping it wasn't a mistake. I am thinking that it won't be as long as I behave myself. Quote
Guest Big Samurai Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 I am welcoming Ms. LH to LJ. I am apologizing for the mess. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 I am vaguely remembering joining LJ a long time ago... and doing absolutely nothing with the account. I am thinking I may need to reserect that account... but, I am a little leary about doing so because of all the stuff I've heard about lately. Quote
AmyMcClair Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 I am having broadband issues and Skype issues. I am saddened by this as this is my only way of communicating with the outside world. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 I am hoping everything clears up for Amy soon! I am wondering if the last load of laundry is done yet. I am supposing I could just go down and check... I am also supposing that if I want to wear my jeans tonight, I'll have to check eventually. Quote
Guest Big Samurai Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 I am back from White Castle. I am noting that their new buffalo chicken bits are very, very hot. I am talking like ass-on-fire hot. Quote
NightScribe Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 I am laughing at Big Sam's "ass on fire" description I am reminded of his unfortunate Popeye's spicy chicken incidents from a couple of months ago I am never in doubt that I can rely on Big Sam for comic relief (where food is concerned) I am convinced my internet provider has a conspiracy against me as the second tech failed to show for an appointment I am thinking I need to write a letter to the company and explain that their in the field techs are lazy asshats Quote
Nanaea Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 I am bored. I am thinking I found Daz on LJ. I am letting Leon know that I friended her. I am going to go make dinner (BLTs) now. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 I am finished cleaning for the day. I am going to have to check out my LJ now and do something with it! Quote
