AFF Winter Holiday 2024

As it is New Year’s Eve, I’ll get a review for one of the holiday party stories up tonight.  Unfortunately, I’ll have to delay reviewing InvidiaRed’s story, because as it’s part of the Holiday Canon, I need to go back and look at last year’s Christmas story before I can read this one.  It may not be required reading exactly, but it can be kind of hard to read these things out of order.

To clarify something. This is actually the first chapter in the story. So this is the background for the rest of the story to jump off from. Basically, I have 11 other chapters, only 8 of which I’ve written so far. My main concern was that nothing in the next 10 chapters has Santa or anything really to do with Christmas. Just more exploration of things brought up in this chapter.

In the show, they actually explored exactly what you suggested. But not fully. Which is partly why I’m writing this piece.

Ah, okay. Well, I’m glad you’re using the medium of fanfic to take the story in a direction that the show probably won’t.

Oh it definitely didn’t go into as much detail as my story does. More just implied in retrospect, only barely scratching the surface. There was actually a “quad” relationship though.

Really looking forward to having a full polyamory story for these guys. One that, unlike the show, doesn’t stink.

Well I can’t guarantee a full polyamory story. Partly because I’m not clear on the definition of “full” in this context. I’m not really a Jarchie fan.

Neither am I. In this case I meant "Full" as in "Meant to be polyamorous from the beginning and not some half-assed thing they just slapped onto the end".

Then I suspect you’ll probably enjoy the complete story when I finally release it. Also, the next chapter of my “Only in Riverdale” story might be something you’d enjoy.

You know, I liked what they did with season 7 and I think they were probably planning to do something like it before the fans got in the way with a lot of their crazy plans. It could’ve been so much more. As a Beronica shipper, I would’ve loved to see that fully explored beyond what we actually ended up getting.

You know, I liked what they did with season 7 and I think they were probably planning to do something like it before the fans got in the way with a lot of their crazy plans. Color me Intrigued

Honestly, I’m not such a fan of Jughead’s inclusion in the final Polycule. I was (vainly) for just A/B/V with Jughead being the author who puts their story on paper. I should have given up that hope with the whole murder mystery nonsense the CW cooked up. That said, I’ll take what I can get with quality stories, whether they’re exactly what I want or not. It’s not the authors’ (your) job to make me exactly what I want.

I didn’t mind the murder mystery or the fact that Jughead was involved. My big issue was how crazy some people got about the whole Bughead situation. I think it would’ve been more interesting if they had simply played the story differently. They made it so Bughead, Varchie and Choni were the only pairings allowed  Like you said, it’s not the writers/author’s job to do everything the fans want. Which is what they did.

For me, the more interesting story is to flip the traditional love triangle dynamic on its head. Instead of it being Archie trying to choose between Betty and Veronica, you make it that Betty has to choose between Archie and Veronica. Or maybe Veronica has to choose between Archie and Betty. Which is sorta what I wanna play with in the story I’m writing. At least on some basic level.

Well I can’t guarantee that. It’s certainly under consideration but like I said, I’m a big Beronica shipper. Still, I liked that they finally tried new dynamics in season 7 like Vughead. Though I’ve been playing with a few different dynamics in some other stories. Including the one that comes up right after this story. Just gotta get two more chapters finished.

I appreciate that, although I try to be my own thing for obvious reasons.

However, I’d love any feedback you want to give on the stories I have written in the Riverdale fandom. I’m kinda out on a limb with the fandom. It’s probably the first one outside of my original fandom that I’m writing in. Though it won’t be the last.

Unless you have stories posted elsewhere, the only ones I know of you've made are on adultfantic. I'm always happy to share my feedback, but with only two Riverdale stories there's not a lot to comment on.

And, in all honesty, I'm not the biggest fan of gangbangs. Or of men for that matter. So, sadly (for me), OIR isn't exactly to my tastes. Except for Cheryl's chapter.

I wouldn’t have guessed that given your interest in the polyamory of the current story. Most of the stuff I’ve written off AFF are femmeslash in nature.

Where else besides AFF do you post? I’d like to read more of your stuff.

I wasn’t suggesting that polyamory and gangbangs are the same thing. I was more trying to square the inclusion of Archie in the polyamory with a lack of interest in men.

I only have one Riverdale story outside of what’s on AFF and I’m looking at moving it to a new platform at the moment.  Technically, the piece I posted here is an AU of the one I posted elsewhere. Also, not sure if I’m allowed to be specific about where it is outside here.

Oh. My mistake. Sorry. The appeal of A/B/V is multiple girls and it not being cringy or gross for a change. Plus, the characters are important to my own Beloved.

Well you’ll definitely appreciate my next stories after the one I posted gets fully put out. Both are purely FF in nature featuring Riverdale characters. More polyamory than gangbang too.
