The first chapter is now finished as per my own initial reviews as writer. I have forwarded it to three potential but unconfirmed alpha readers. I am also seeking beta readers and possible other alpha readers also. I do not have time to look through all the beta reader resumes available, so I am advertising and hoping potential willing beta readers will answer. This also applies to editors who have worked for me before and might in the future. I am willing to pay such editors a small sum if interested, time frame is one week. To any who would answer- please be aware that this is an adult romance story rated M. It is also a crossover between God of War, other religious mythologies on which that game saga has not yet touched and ones it has touched, and a popular science fiction saga I will not identify here. I consider this story the most epic story I have written to date. I will be posting it to this and other sites. Please message me, if you are interested in being my beta reader. Please also be aware that the story ships Kratos & Freya. You may ignore or otherwise malign this humble boat captain if you would, but he hopes he will be respected in his sailing needs. I have new stories I would like to post, including a Star Trek story. The admins have been emailed to assist my unlocking of my old account. I appreciate their assistance and that of any beta readers I can recruit in the meantime. I hope my old stories will be written and appreciated. My newer stories will be posted here in due time. Two things: Did you log in with the updated email address or with the old address? Since I updated the email address for you, you need to use the new one as your login. Does your password meet the current requirements? We’ve changed the length of the password minimum and maximum, although we still permit only letters and/or numbers. Password rules recap: Between 12-18 letters and/or numbers long, case sensitive. NO punctuation, spaces, or special characters allowed. Do NOT use your old password, or let Google make a strong password full of forbidden characters for you. As far as editing your profile, we still have some features that are not unlocked. Bear with us while we address those. It’s a crack crossover parody of the Super Best Friends with no sex scenes, so it may not be acceptable here, but it’s related to stories that are here. WillowDarkling Posted June 9, 2023 Report Share Posted June 9, 2023 All stories are allowed here, save for Real Person Fiction (Celebrity or otherwise) about people under the age of 18. And we don’t censor here either, although obviously we do draw the line at stories that are trying to be purposefully trollish or offensive, but the archive mods have guidelines as to what constitutes stories of that type. More will be forthcoming as they are generated. It would be a great deal simpler if you were to post the stories in the proper category in the first place. It’s a dropdown menu. The same goes for story codes, although at the moment only staff can add or edit codes. (Our normal process, just for the record, is to issue a formal warning for missing codes, and if the codes are not added, we will hide the story for a minimum of 30 days, at which point we will delete the story for noncompliance.) I tried to post that story to Cartoons, I got an error message saying my connection was not secure. I tried to post to Celebrities instead, no error. So that was what I did. I wasn’t sure if you would be able to address the problem immediately, I cared more about publishing my story and decided to move it later instead of immediately if necessary, I assumed I could. Again, I had difficulty navigating categories and understanding which categories to put everything in. It seemed you had already organized my old stories under the new system, so I presumed that addressing the new ones was no big deal for the archives. If I was wrong, sorry. Let’s do this- I am unable to move the story tonight, I’m at work and posting from my phone. I will try to move it by Wednesday night. That should give you time to investigate the connection issue I had if you want. I will try posting it to Cartoons even with that if I don’t hear from you. No difficulties, no problem. It may have been on my end, not yours. Also if you prefer, I can just delete all my stuff from here, old and new. I have other fans in other places, plenty of backups, you want to put your archive over my stories, I have no problem with that. Let me know please. I will attempt the reposting when I can. Thx. We’re not putting the archive over anyone’s stories, but we do ask that members make every attempt to post things in the correct places. As I said earlier, we moderators do not have the ability to shift stories between subdomains. They are separate databases, and access is strictly limited to the admin level staff. (If you click on the “Archives” link on the archive home page, you can see the 22 subdomains listed. The more active fandoms have their own subdomain, while others are grouped by general category, like Movies, or Television.) We can move things within a subdomain, but since readers will navigate to a category/fandom they want to read, if your story is posted elsewhere, they won’t see it, and that’s not what any author wants. If you click on the field marked “Category” when uploading a story, you are taken to a rather extensive dropdown. For general subdomains like Celebrities, you’ll see many categories, including alphabetic groups. Clicking those will open a listing of all the subcategories in alphabetic order. It might take a moment to scroll to the correct fandom, but it’s quite simple once you’ve done it once or twice. I did move what I could of your new postings; I am unable to move the Cartoon story posted in Celebrities, and until we address the issue with the Cartoon subdomain not registering our security certificate, you won’t be able to post it there. I understand that. But I would ask that you not post further Cartoon stories to Celebrities. I’m sure it will only annoy you further when I ask you to delete them and move them. And as we’ve said in our FAQs, if you’re not sure where to put a story, you can always ask us in the General Staff Questions thread. If you need a new category for a fandom, we have a thread for Archive Category Requests. We’re happy to help, and we’re even happier when members work with us. I haven’t checked but I’m sure your categorization of my stories was acceptable. As for the South Park one, it’s a one shot. No further chapters on the way. When Cartoons is fixed, I will be glad to repost it as requested. Till then, Celebrities makes a good placeholder since celebrities figure heavily in the story. As it goes in that show.
