Joe Long Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Yes, i was just thinking, since there are going to be some trust issues, would Jessica and Nick try anything on Jack and Kayla, respectively? Speaking of trust issues, i have a feeling eventually they'll have a big heart to heart and get over what happened, some tears will be shed, and they'll emerge stronger than ever. I have to admit, Kayla does not seem like the "Eye for an Eye" type, so its unlikely for another threesome, besides Joe will update us on that i think. But something has to trigger the heart to heart conversation, and i think its familiar face. I have a hunch, this face will be revealed at the end of this saga, leaving this saga at a cliffhanger, if its Jeff then he would have transferred to Jack's school so he can get his hands on Kayla, that will trigger Jack's own insecurities and add Kayla's insecurities on top, you have the perfect recipe for the heart to heart. I had suggested a new hunk at school, but also Jeff would be a good catalyst. I don't know if Jeff could get his whole family to move, but he could definitely go on a road trip, after tracking down Kayla. Quote

It would take a whole lot to push his buttons and piss him off royally, another guy seeking Kayla's affection will do that, we saw how he got pissed off at Nick, although will Kayla enjoy that affection is a matter up for debate. What i'm really interested is, will the aftermath of the threesome be dealt with by the end of this saga or will these feelings continue to the next one and affect shit in that saga as well? Quote

It's just a matter of how well she can push it down. Unless, and this is a personal untested theory (if it exists somewhere else formally, then i might have read it there, in which case ignore the previous statement), if you have a particular fear of something like mice, you will be fearful whenever that thing shows up, but if you were given an even bigger fear stimulus, like heights, something that can make you lose something that you hold very dear to you (in this case, your life), you will tend to pay lesser importance to a mouse that showed up while you were standing on top of a really high skyscraper. Apply that to Kayla, if something bigger came up, bigger than the threesome, she's likely to ignore the threesome incident. Quote
Joe Long Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Apply that to Kayla, if something bigger came up, bigger than the threesome, she's likely to ignore the threesome incident. Maybe, but I don't think the issue is the threesome itself. It was the image of Jack being so intimate with Tara, doing something that he had only previously done with Kayla, that is making Kayla insecure. Her fear is losing Jack. There's nothing bigger than that, except of course, one's life. Quote

There's nothing bigger than that, except of course, one's life. Combine both of them together, 'Losing Jack's Life', and as far as i know, Jack was not intimate at that level, sure he had sex but he didn't feel anything like he felt with Kayla, hell even an animal fucking session between Jack and Kayla feels intimate and like they have a connection. Give her some time, she'll come around. Quote

that-one-guy Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 That, my friend, is the real question. However long any of us think it is, double it. Not only is she a woman but a teenager as well. I'm sure if my parents could they would have skipped those years with my sisters, some bad shit went down lol. Quote
thismy Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Maybe it takes a very long time. ------------------------------ Jack stood in front of the mirror. He took a deep breath. Ok, Jack, you can do it. He fiddled with his hair more, and adjusted his tie. Joe's hand clapped him on the shoulder. "C'mon man, it'll be fine. Your gonna ruin your hair if you keep doing that." He said. Jack looked at his best friend. "I'm just really nervous." Jack stuttered. "Where's Mr. Confidence?" Joe jested, giving Jack a playful shove. Suddenly, his demeanor shifted to a much more serious air. "Jack, you gotta be the man here. Kayla's gonna be counting on you. I'm not gonna hold your hand out there." Jack took a deep breath, smoothed out his jacket, and nodded. A soft knock interrupted them. Tara stood in the doorway. She looked gorgeous, her dress flowing and hair wavy, except for the frown on her face. "What's up?" Joe asked. "It's Kayla, she..." Tara started. All color left Jack, nervousness washing over him anew, in one, massive, wave. "What, spit it out." Joe prompted. Tara shot him a glare before continuing. "She's locked in her room. She won't come out." "Dammit." Joe breathed. He stepped closer to Tara. "Have you tried everything?" He asked in a low, earnest voice. "Of course I have, I'm not an idiot!" Tara said, annoyed, their conversation quickly descending into chaos. Jack stood back as Tara and Joe bickered, not catching much of the conversation. He thought about what could have possibly set Kayla off. "I'll go see her." He said after a minute Joe and Tara whirled around to face him. "WHAT!" They cried in unison. He was slightly startled by their reaction, but pushed forward. "I'll go see her." He said more slowly. "Now's not the time to be a smartass. Besides, you can't." Tara said firmly. "Why not?!" Jack protested, becoming more anxious by the second. "Uh, dude, it's bad luck." Joe said, acting like it was obvious. "That hasn't stopped us before." Jack said, and with that, despited furious protests from both of them, he pushed past Tara and Joe and into the hallway. Quote
thismy Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Joe and Tara were hot on his tail. "Jack," Tara said, placing a had on his back, "stop. I'll talk to her." "You made it very clear that didn't work." Jack said, annoyed. He reached Kayla's hallway at that moment. "Go away." He said, facing them. They just stood, staring. "NOW!" He shouted. Joe and Tara looked at each other, then turned away. Jack knocked on Kayla's door. "Go away!" A voice called from inside. "Sweetie... It's me." "Jack...?" The voice trailed off. "I'm here." He said softly. He heard footsteps, and the handle jiggling, then a pause. "I can't." "Why." He asked. "It's bad luck." "Joe said the same damn thing. When has that stopped us before?" Jack demanded. "Jack, please." Kayla pleaded. He sighed, slumping against the door. "Can we talk through this?" Jack asked, thumping the door with his hand. "Sure." Kayla said, her voice seeming a little brighter. "Is anyone else around?" She asked. "No, I sent them away." Jack responded. "Good." Kayla said. "What's the problem honey?" Jack asked carefully. He sat for a minute. It sounded like Kayla was crying. He put all of his will into not busting down the door to comfort her. He sat, just listening to her. "Jack, I'm sorry." Kayla's voice came from the other side, ragged and raw. "For what?" "For it all. All the trouble I've put you through." Kayla sobbed. "No!" Jack said firmly. "Don't start that, not today. Especially not today. I would have endured it all a thousand times for you." "Do you think I would have?" Kayla asked. "Of course. I know we'd do any thing for each other. I'd catch a grenade for ya." Jack trailed off. "Oh God, not that song." Kayla laughed softly. "And technically, you did catch a grenade for me." She chuckled. Jack laughed softly. "Oh yeah, that's right. I'd forgotten about that one." They sat in silence for bit longer. "When Tara came into the room, I remembered it all." Kayla started. Oh no. Not this again. Why why why. Why today? Of all days, why today? Quote
thismy Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) Jack took a deep breath. "I thought we got through this." He said desperately. He heard Kayla sobbing through the door again. "I just remembered it all. How you were so intimate with her. It hurt so much. It still hurts. And I don't know why! It tore me up. And I hated Tara, and I was mad at you. I wanted, still want to blame someone." She fell into another fit of sobs. "Kayla... I understand. I'm here. But I never felt anything for Tara in anyway like I felt it for you. Like I feel for you. I love you. I always will. You're my one and only." "You said you loved her more than just a cousin. And you made love to her." Kayla sobbed again, sounding accusing. "I was young!" Jack protested. "And confused. I love her to death. As a cousin. A sister. But not anything like you. I love you with my whole heart. As soon as I thought about who she was, I lost it. I tried so hard, but it was weird and uncomfortable and I regretted it. As much as that hurt Tara, it wasn't good. We did what we thought was best for her. It didn't work out for any of us. But even then, it was the two of us, taking the journey. Together. Now lets take the blame, together." Silence fell. Jack couldn't tell if Kayla was still crying. "Thank you, Jack. I know we've done this before, had this conversation. I'm sorry. I know that I blame, blamed you for it." She paused. "And Tara. And I know I was hurt, but I think I'm ready. Finally." She started to laugh, almost hysterically. She laughed and laughed. Jack sat, puzzled. "You ok in there?" He asked, thoroughly confused. Kayla laugh again. "Listen to us, Jack. Look at us. After all we've come through, just when we think we've got it, something happens again. If you hadn't come down here, I think I would have stayed in here for days." "Oh, I think you'd come out to eat sooner than later." Jack laughed. "Don't test me, Mr. Harrison." Kayla threatened. "Yes ma'am." Jack said, saluting sarcastically, even though Kayla couldn't see. "Are you saluting me?" Kayla asked. Jack sat for a second, stunned. "How'd you know...?" He trailed off, glancing at the peep hole. He darted out of its view. "Noooo!" Kayla whined. "Sorry, I don't get to see you, you don't get to see me." Just then, Craig poked his head around the corner. "Jack, it's time to go." He said, beckoning to him. Jack nodded, and leaned against the door. "I'll see you." He said to Kayla, and turned towards Craig. "Jack, wait." Kayla called. "We're together. For better or for worse." Jack smiled. "For better or for worse." He echoed. With that, he turned and followed Craig away. --------------------------- Jack stood, looking out at friends and family. Joe leaned over to him. "You ready man?" He asked. Jack took a deep breath. "I've been ready for seven years." At that, the music started and the doors came open. At the end stood the only woman he would ever need. Jack smiled. She is the one. -------------------- Edited July 10, 2015 by thismy Quote
that-one-guy Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Dude, that was, holy crap I mean, wow. I think Joe should use that for the scene (only put into first person,my only criticism lol) but that was something that had been floating around in my head, the whole what would happen at the wedding and this seems like a good plotline for Joe to follow. Could make the wedding night really awkward Quote

Joe Long Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Although, seven years? That the rest of high school, all of college, plus one. In my junior year I was coming out of class into the hallway, when I saw a guy I knew somewhat, a senior, dressed in a tuxedo and shaking everybody's hand. When he got to me I asked, "What happened? Whay are you dressed like this?' With a huge grin in his face, he nearly shouted, "I got married, man!" They were both from devoutly Christian families, so he may have also been on his way to getting laid engage in passionate lovemaking with the woman of his dreams for the first time in his life. It's 50 years later. I don't know for sure if they still are (checks Facebook - can't find him) but they were for the very long time that I knew of. Who here thinks Jashley and this my should collaborate on a story? Lol Barring that, I would totally be in line to read a thismy original. Go for it, dude! Quote
thismy Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Although, seven years? That the rest of high school, all of college, plus one. In my mind, I figured Jack proposed to Kayla after they dated for maybe 3, 4 years. Then they decided they wanted to be out of college before they got married to make it easier for them both. Maybe it's a few years less, I dunno. Barring that, I would totally be in line to read a thismy original. Go for it, dude! Actually, I've got a couple things in the works, but I'm slow at it. I'll let you know if/when I put something out. Quote

Man, you are one talented guy, you come damn near close to being the Jashley13 alternative, man seriously that was some epic shit. Secondly, crazy fan theory: Jack's in a coma, everything that happened after Brad, was all in Jack's head, during the fight with Brad, Jack took a really bad hit to the head sending him into a coma, he's been in the hospital all that time, the twins didn't get caught, Tara and him didn't kiss, the threesome never happened, Walburn didn't kill himself, it was all in Jack's head. Thirdly, my finals are fucking finally over! Freedom at last! Edited July 10, 2015 by Mr_Fairplay Quote

Girl was in a car crash, 18 or 19 years old and engaged. Wakes up 20 years later, her faince is married to her sister and they have teenage kids. In that scenario, people have their limit on how long they'll wait. I was wondering who might wait longer, Kayla or Tara. Quote
