An asshole calling himself "marvelfan" took a chunk of my Tomb Raider story from last November,

And added chunks of it to an existing story on chyoo.com (choose your own adventure) which allows multi users to add to stories. So they changed the story to be about Sue Storm and added it to an existing story -

That's frustrating. But I'd bet that all the other parts were copy/paste with name change as well. Just coming from archives like ours or literotica, where the story text itself won't show on search engines, so you have to be familiar with the story. Given that your piece was from a completely different fandom, I'd bet that the other bits (if stolen) came from non-Marvel fandoms as well.

I hope the site works with you on getting it down quickly, if you're able to get in touch with them.

I hope so, especially as having poked around the site It seems like a pretty damn cool idea for a collab story engine. I wouldn't mind putting stuff there when I start writing again, but I'd be less keen if they didn't do something about stealin'

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they subsequent chapters were stolen from somewhere. I couldn't find them with searching non-fandom specific sections so literotica sounds a possibility if that site's don't show up.

Could be the same guy, Melrick, seems a pretty generic name though - hard to google 'em

I did find that his version has also been reposted to here:

I didn't get any email or anything, but they deleted (Well, "Locked") the chapters based on my story and also the subsequent chapters - presumably as they didn't make sense with the deleted ones gone!
