Guest Alien Pirate Pixagi
All time faves? Him, I gotta say, "Walking Corpse," a Naruto Slash fic, "Nobody Move," another great Naruto Slash fic, "Wicked" a Harry Potter Slash fic, "It's So Wrong" a Bleach slash fic, and, to inflat the hell out of Dazz's ego, "Mary-Sue Virus," 'cause DAMN does that woman know how to write so CRACK. Hermione Malfoy
I tend to stick to HP HET: The Wedding by La Bibliographe LM/HG All Hallows Eve by Ms Figg SS/HG Defamation of Character by LooneyLuna SS/HG There are loads really all in the same vein. Nanaea
Do I have to pick just three? I think my all time favorite is Let's Pretend the War is Over, a Harry/Draco fic by pir8fancier. As a matter of fact, pretty much anything written by her is great. Lettered is my second favorite of her stories (also H/D). VeresnaUssep's OFC in Love's Labours; Paradise Lost manages not to be a Mary Sue, and the story is captivating. Tarie has an interesting fixation with Tea in my two favorites of her stories, Tea Service, a Harry/Hermione/Draco fic, and Tea and Being Free a Ron/Draco fic. And anything by Ms_Figg although I think The Ring is my favorite so far. As far as fellow Forumites, I love dazzledfirestar's Mary-Sue Virus (how couldn't I? I'm in it!!) and her X-Men Romy fic Curious. Pretty much anything written by polywolly (who writes beautiful SS/HG fics), but When You Least Expect and Shall I Forget are my favorites. Cailyn -Pixagi- Webster's Harry/Draco story Sheep in Wolf's Clothing and its sequel I Control You, are both amazing. I enjoyed What Did You See? a Sevmione PWP by Madapple, and I am looking forward to her Mundungus/Umbridge fic with much anticipation. lol! I am slowly working my way through StoryJunkie's Fics; Office Mess was hot, O Brother was disturbing, but hot, and her Monster Porn is definitely promising. NightScribe did an awesome job on The Gryffindor and the Grease Monkey, and I am planning on digging into Iniquitous Desires next as all her talk about it has me intrigued. Redsliver's From the Looking Glass, even though I've only read the first three chapters - I swear I'm going to finish it one of these days! Keith's Mad Scientist Porn series. And last, but certainly not least, Trae's contest story, Special Delivery. If I didn't mention you it's only because I haven't gotten around to reading anything you've written yet. I'm not trying to play favorites, really!
dazzledfirestar
Oh my god, guys, thank you! I'm glad you enjoy it... I swear there is more MSV to come as soon as I'm done moving. But on to my favorites. Nanaea's work always amazes me, but Forbidden Fruit is my favorite! It's wonderful, and everyone should check it out... unless of course, you don't like Hermione/Snape fics... actually, still check it out, it'll change your mind! In the X-Men universe, I love loganlover4ever's Black Stiletto Diaries. Its a great fantasy fic with pairings that are surprising and fantastic! On top of that, I am echoing Nan's statement of loving anything polywolly has written. If I had to pick one, I am a huge fan of her one shot Shall I Forget. Now, I'm going to bask in some more of the love that's being thrown at me!

Leonhart29
Honestly - I love any thing horror_gal has up (aka Squallfan) I'm also a big fan of Iggy's. Although the Mary Sue Virus is fast becoming one of my faves. And let's not forget Redsliver's... I'm enjoying that more than most when I have the time to read it. redsliver
Thank you Leonhart, get a move on Nan. I haven't read much lately but I am a big fan of Melody Fate's Confessions of a Runaway.

Guest Madapple
When I first read this thread my initial thought was, "You all have time to read fics?" Then, I thought about a few I've come across over the last few years. My favs are the damn funny ones. I don't do well with most angsty fics, I tend to lose interest in them fairly quickly. I should point out that I am a shipper, and unashamed. These fics are mostly SS/HG. I always get a chuckle out of Fervesco's stories. Her Mission: Get Hermione Laid fic inspired 2 sequels, one of which is still a WIP. Most of her stuff is good though. Corazon's are well written, though all are worth mentioning, I'll post: Happy Birthday Harry! and Musical Beds Ms Figg is worth a mention based on sheer volume, alone. One of the most prolific fanfiction writers I've ever come across. Of course being a Mary-Sue Girl, I must mention Daz's Mary Sue Virus, an MS of epic proportions. Amazing how she injects the MSV girls' personalities into the characters. See link in my sig. I beta'd Polywolly's Volition. It is well-written and does a great job of tying together the ends of the HBP story. I wonder if I will ever see another chapter. *pokes poly*
Iggy_lovechild
Sterling's "Aftermath" is fucking brilliant. No seriously and I'm not saying that because he's my beta and good friend. It's been riviting my attention for quite some time now and it just...amazingly written, amazingly IC, and just...argh...no fucking words. Seriously, anyone into FF7 and the RenoxCloud pairing who hasn't read it...go do so.
StoryJunkie
ack. If I had to choose three. For pure fuckingness, I'd have to say Charging Handles Forward, that thing he did with Sessormaru and Kagura. CHF's Page See "Scream" And for romantic juiciness, pretty much anything Templeton21 has done, although she's busy with twins at the moment. Something Pretty is my favorite, since she seemed to use things from my reviews to make something that was so eerily me. Very prolific writer. Another story that stands out for me ...actually, two others, for porn effect was KittyFelone's Suspenseful Raptures., and an unfinished Holly's Home Invasion by GhostWriter who unfortunately I had to stalk to another site to finish up the last two chapters, where I was astounded to find that the woman writing the story had based it on a real-life experience. Which brings me to Mel's riveting story, which she hasn't finished, and which someone else has mentioned already. However that being said, these are stories I read before the trouble with the site, and I actually haven't read as much as when I first came on. I think I must blame the forum for those shortcomings, and I will have to consider changing my moniker to "RecoveringAddict" (except, well, I'm not) EDIT: (did someone mention they were actually reading stuff that came out of my head? Wow. I'm flattered. I wish...) Edited April 11, 2007 by StoryJunkie
polywolly
I wonder if I will ever see another chapter. *pokes poly* Ouch. *rubs arm* Someday, when the plot eventualities stop warring in my head, it shall continue. Such is the sport of writing. I have to echo Mad's initial thought. You people have time to read stories? I'm woefully under-read when it comes to fanfiction lately, and like StoryJunkie, I used to read a lot more, but that was before I became a fanfiction writer, and a neurotic one at that. I beta read From the Looking Glass for Redsliver. It has become quite the epic. It must be good because I find myself reading and reading...and then I have to go back and actually beta it. The Mary Sue Virus by Daz is an absolute must read. Of course, I may be biased, but there's nothing at all wrong with that. See my sig for the link to that one. I seem to be a story jinx because most stories I begin to read are WIPs and then they usually never get finished. However, this thread has inspired me to get back to the good, old-fashioned world of reading and reviewing fanfiction, but only the completed works. I don't want to curse anyone else's muse. EDIT: Thank you, everyone! I didn't realize so many had wandered through my body of work. Now I feel really guilty.
Demosthenes
I see an overwhelming amount of HP fiction here, so I'll try to offset it with a few of my favs. Naruto: Teach Me Sakura/Kiba/Kakashi by MonkeyLady Forbidden Uchihacest by Sris I haven't found too many people who tickle me yet. DarkCabaret
Deserving of Love by LadyRemus. This is a fic I swear I don't want to stop reading. I only stopped because she hasn't updated! It's a good one. Plus I know it sounds weird but I like to read my own. Magic and Romance is a good one that I've written, I have a couple on my hard-drive (no pun intended) I like to read as well. LemonDrops
I'm right there with you, Demosthenes. Teach Me by Monkey Lady and then I also like Tangled up in Lace by Toffee Dirty Deeds by Serenanna (good het in the Naruto section, unheard of ) (Does anyone have any good Bleach recs? I desperately want to read a good fic, but I tried a couple and almost died. It doesn't matter if it is het or yaoi.)
Guest Serenanna
::sratches her head as she was pretty sure she just heard her fic mentioned then beams:: Thank you, :emondrops. That just considerably brightened up what would have been an otherwise miserable-looking day. Off the top of my head, I can reccomend three Naruto fics from the Het section. I'd post links, but am rather lazy at the moment. Beautiful Fighter by ronsmyhero - Kaka/Saku, great story that only gets more awesome with the latest plot arch . . . Sakura, the pit-fighter ^.^ Gossip by J-Pop Princess - Kaka/Ino, it's a very unlikely idea, but she managed to pull it off well in a pairing I usually wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. Perception by Cynchick - underlying Kaka/Saku, but mostly Ita/Saku. This is the first of this pairing I've read, skipping over the many that try the same old Itachi kidnaps Sakura plot. This one, however, manages to still feel fresh and engaging without falling into cliches. Anyway, those three I highly reccomend, if just for plot. taker
Nothing really strikes me frankly, but I'll name the few that do... Fuzzy Love by Cold Silence: I'm still not a yaoi fan boy, but she does a good job capturing her readers and painting good scenes. Very touching story too. Caught in the Act by Debs Dragon: Yeah... We've all been caught or caught our parents taking advantage of their marital rights. Stolen Youth by Debs Dragon: It's not up here but It's still a really damn good story. Frankly its movie quality... if you subtract all the DBZ oriented stuff like Ki and Flying w/o wings or an airplane. I THINK I've seen something like this before when I think about. Good story, the sex wasn't that great (dun like rape) but the story itself picks up for that.
