AmyMcClair Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 Elf Defense This is just too funny. I can't believe someone is actually trying this. This is very much akin to the "twinky" and the "video games/TV made me do it" defenses. Quote
Guest Agaib Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 This king of thing bothers Me... seriously, this guy knew what he was doing. The only thing that happens through this is that video games and role playing gets even more demonized. Quote
Guest Yhitzak Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Now... I'm all for humor in the news, but this isn't even funny, it's just stupid and sad. Quote
EveKnight75 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I choose not to comment until I hear from Mr. Boyd's psychologist. Quote
AmyMcClair Posted March 16, 2007 Author Report Posted March 16, 2007 I choose not to comment until I hear from Mr. Boyd's psychologist. Aww, you're taking the easy way out. That's cheating. No really, I think this is a sad commentary on society in general. No one is responsible for their own actions any longer. It's still funny that he's trying it though. Quote
Mourningstar Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 That's unbeliavable. If it weren't so sad, it might actually be funny. But I figure that since I've been playing since I was three, that between all the shoot-'em-ups, adventure games and sword&sorcery games I have pretty much every eventuality covered should I ever get in trouble. Now all I need to do is push a friend into law school so that I'll have someone who'd actually agree to represent me with such a ridiculous notion. Quote
quamp Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 This is right up there with the guy who tried to cash a check that was signed God. Quote
Guest Madapple Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Maybe he should try the Chewbacca defense instead. Quote
DarkCabaret Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 wow my friends and I used to do an rp thing and well no one ever went to the extent of stealing. We used to have someone sit and tell us the situation and you simply said what you did and that was that! No reason to actually live the game. That's not right! Quote
Leonhart29 Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 You know - I'm reminded of the kids that committed murder and blamed D&D for it. It's a bit more than stealing but still - I think he's just looking for a way out... unless he really is unhinged mentally - then it's possible he was out of it at the time. But I would like to see him prove it. Quote
DarkCabaret Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 But I would like to see him prove it. Maybe a black mage will testify for him ... you know work his black magic LMAO Quote
