As long as it’s a fictional character, and the story is tagged, we do allow it. We have one author who uses fictional characters under the age of 6, and he tags appropriately. It is unpleasant for most readers, honestly, but it’s not illegal. I’ll quote the policy set by the site’s owner:

Quote

Title 18, Part I, Chapter 110, Section 2256 of the US Code defines what constitutes child pornography in the United States, the country where AFF resides. The key part of this definition is paragraph 8, including subparagraph A, which states in part: "'child pornography' means any visual depiction … where the production of such visual depiction involves the use of a minor..." The link to it is here:
http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/18/2256.html

Also, the Supreme Court took on such a case, and their decision is here:
http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/cgi-bin/getcase.pl?court=US&navby=case&vol=000&invol=00-795

Child pornography is only defined as a visual thing as in pictures and such, not dealing with stories. That is what we go by until a law is changed in the US.

So, there you have it. That’s what I go by, until site policy changes.

Now you’ve got a halloween story!

Haunted bodegas? It’s been done to death.

Now, sin eaters… I can work with that, I think. *rubs hands together and ponders*

I've noticed ages going as far as down as 6. they’re cartoons characters or not real  so I understand why it goes that far. but i can understand why some readers don’t want to read that stuff. I avoid making the characters i use that young because for personal reasons.

@BronxWench answered – any age, so long as it’s tagged.

And I tag even if it’s non-sexual, so for instance, a kindergartner not wanting to stay dressed in class because he always runs around naked at home.

That is actually good to know. If i’m going to be honest I had an idea of bonnie from the pokémon  X and Y series being groomed into a Slut I never put that thought to paper because I didn’t know if that was “legal”.
as long as I label it correctly that thought can become an actual story. So if you see that on the site you know why.

Most of my stories are tamed compared to other ones I’ve seen it’s why I try to stay away from the “rape” tag.but thank you  for the reply.
