You can put them in the main story summary, which avoids the chapter-spoilers. That's perfectly fine. You could even put them all at the top of the first chapter, if they don't fit in the summary field, which is only 240 characters.
As long as they are somewhere a reader will see them, and know what to expect in the course of the story, we're good. The reasoning is that certain things are triggers, and we don't want readers getting blindsided by running into content they'd not willingly have read.
And in the forum thread, if you wanted to include them in the index, next to each chapter, that's absolutely fine as well. Since readers would find the index url after reading a chapter, it certainly wouldn't be a spoiler for them.

    Welcome Goblins and Ghouls!
I'm offering you all the chance to participate in a scare with some flair! That is of course Tales from the Shout Box, a collection of one shot original fiction with a Halloween theme from our wicked wordsmiths here on Adult-fanfiction.org.

    Guidlines:
One Shot (Max. 50k words) Halloween element (Ghosts, witches, werewolves, vampires, demons... things that go bump in the night) Original Fiction At the top each story MUST include the tags for your content. At the bottom include a link to your profile. Before you add your story please add a 255 character summary of your content here in your post declaring your interest. On the 25th of October, I will post in the archives a story titled "AFF's Tales from the Shoutbox 2015" and add collaborators (I think that's how it works). You may add more than one story as long as it fits the Halloween theme. Also, the story does not have to be sexual in nature.
If you're interested please reply with your pen name on the archives, a short description of what you might write about and the title if you don't have a title that's fine just put (unknown). (Example: see below). I will keep track here of those author's interested. We might even vote on the best story or something too... who knows.

Title: Becky's Grave CL Mustafic -Summary: Will and Pete loved each other in a time when doing so could get you killed. Flash forward seventy-five years and you can still find people that wouldn't think twice about doing just that to a couple of 'faggots'. Best avoided. It's just a nasty, mean-spirited little thing which will need the trigger tags. Would have been better if I'd gone for Orcs gathered round painting another, nude, Orc and discussing their dislike of more conceptual art.

Thanks for confirming this, yes, it mostly takes place close to the Misty Mountains, known for their salmon fishing, snowboarding and Orc figure painting studios.

Sadly the fine art won't make it into the oneshot; this one features the less cultured Orcs. The sort who give the delicate, sensitive aesthete orcs of brush and canvas a bad name.

If most of the story occurs in Middle Earth, then yes, you can put it in the LotR crossover section.

    Wow--thanks for all the input!
I like the idea of the hospital mix-up, especially because it helps to explain where the niece has been for the last several months. And the ferry-crash idea leads nicely into that, because it creates a plausible "presumed dead" scenario for the niece.
This was a huge help. Thanks again, all.

Basic human incompetance works pretty well. There was a story in the news recently of a woman informed of her mother's death, only for the doctors to have confused her with another patient.

This comes under & Journals I guess.

As of today I have 100 seperate uploads on AFF as JayDee. Not stories; in the Harry Potter drabbles collection I have 9 drabbles, and some of the other oneshots might be viewed as continuations of the same story - For the Honour of The Slytherin, For the Profit of The Slytherin and Revenge Of The Ravenclaw, f'example - but still, a milestone. Would have got there sooner, but for deleting the old celeb stories years ago, and a couple others lost to time.

Can't shake that whole "Quantity over quality" feeling though. I know some of it is actually pretty readable - Shokan Lust ain't bad at all! - and some of it, well,

Still, something of a milestone and only just over ten years after registering!

Well, that's me done marking the 100 mark. Only ten more years of membership for another 100?

Name: Kelly, The Monster Under The Bed
Job: Buying and selling through internet auction sites for profit.
    Age: 26
    Gender: Intersex
Sexual Orientation: Attracted to adult humans of all flavors. Open to experimentation with non-human sentients. Except Donald Trump's hair.
Bio: Kelly was the thirteenth spawn of its frankly exhausted progenitor. When not on the internet, It travels through shadows to lurk under the beds of scared children, and lashes out with tentacles to draw in those who would do them harm and give them a (non-sexual) thrashing. It is the black sheep of the family as most of its siblings became famous for their roles in the tentacle porn industry, except Jamie who works for the DVLA. It looks like a semi-transparent green blob with two large soulful brown eyes, no visible nose, a thin lipped mouth, a vagina on the back of its head allowing non-damaging 'brain' penetration (gestation takes place in a pouch within the 'brain') and many, many tentacles, some of which are phallic. Most of them, really. Moves like a slug, leaving an evaporating trail. Cannot sing, but fails to realise this. Left its America's Got Talent audition in floods of tears.

Anyway, yes for any interested readers you can purchase it on paperback (book format) here or if you have a CS account, you can also purchase it from here as well.
If anyone wishes to buy and read my tale, I sincerely hope you guys enjoy it as much as I've had writing it.

JayDee reacted to GeorgeGlass in If a character dies, but doesn't stay dead, does a story need the MCD code?
If the point of the tag is to warn off readers who don't want to read about a major character dying (eg, because they just lost someone in their own lives and don't want to read fiction about death at the moment), and if it isn't immediately obvious that the character won't stay dead, I would think you'd want to use the tag. But maybe that's not the purpose of the tag.
