That's what I was aiming for. I didn't want anything definitive. I've heard stories about Becky for almost 50 years, many of them different (and most involving alcohol), so I tried to convey that confusion. I had at least one character witness something that they'd swear was supernatural, but that they'd still have a hard time convincing anyone of later "You had to be there..." so that a day, a year, even 20 years later, my characters would be telling the same kind of stories that I grew up hearing.
My brother-in-law had some to drink, went to the cemetery by the mall and was scared shitless. He won't go back. A writing friend from town read the first draft of this and asked, "Have I told you my story?" Seems her brother and a friend also went to the cemetery by the mall and said they took a flag off of Becky's grave. When they got to the friend's house, his mother said, "Becky called, and said you have something of hers!"
I was also trying to add humor, and with things like the sign, stuff just pops into my head and I go with it.

This Halloween chapter fits in with the overall story, and will be included as a future chapter when the timeline gets to late October. No sex takes place in the Halloween chapter, but the characters make reference to sex that has happened in earlier chapters (yet to be published)

The bigotry in this makes me wince, but the fact that it is a crucial part of the story makes it all better. Through it we begin to hate those characters, and feel a sense of justice when they die. Good job. I also find it sad that they only have one night to spend together, and most of it is spent getting victims, covering up the deaths, and reliving their own deaths. So sad.

While a reviewer elsewhere was happy to see the Orc use oil for the anal so as to avoid chafing himself, the poor dear, the AFF review is as follows:

Thanks for the review! Yeah, the Orcs pretty much succeeded entirely via element of surprise. The teachers or even less-surprised students should be able to thrash them pretty soundly, the run-of-the-mill LOTR Orcs aren't all that challenging, no wonder the Urak-Hai look down on them!
I guess for a follow up I could Bamf Galadriel amongst Death Eaters over in the Potter universe. "...and within seconds, the Death Eaters were all dead," yeah, too short, maybe.

You can put them in the main story summary, which avoids the chapter-spoilers. That's perfectly fine. You could even put them all at the top of the first chapter, if they don't fit in the summary field, which is only 240 characters.
As long as they are somewhere a reader will see them, and know what to expect in the course of the story, we're good. The reasoning is that certain things are triggers, and we don't want readers getting blindsided by running into content they'd not willingly have read.
And in the forum thread, if you wanted to include them in the index, next to each chapter, that's absolutely fine as well. Since readers would find the index url after reading a chapter, it certainly wouldn't be a spoiler for them.

Best avoided. It's just a nasty, mean-spirited little thing which will need the trigger tags. Would have been better if I'd gone for Orcs gathered round painting another, nude, Orc and discussing their dislike of more conceptual art.

Thanks for confirming this, yes, it mostly takes place close to the Misty Mountains, known for their salmon fishing, snowboarding and Orc figure painting studios.

Sadly the fine art won't make it into the oneshot; this one features the less cultured Orcs. The sort who give the delicate, sensitive aesthete orcs of brush and canvas a bad name.

If most of the story occurs in Middle Earth, then yes, you can put it in the LotR crossover section.

I like the idea of the hospital mix-up, especially because it helps to explain where the niece has been for the last several months. And the ferry-crash idea leads nicely into that, because it creates a plausible "presumed dead" scenario for the niece.

Basic human incompetance works pretty well. There was a story in the news recently of a woman informed of her mother's death, only for the doctors to have confused her with another patient.
