  1. @24Carat, yes, your email can be changed. Email me at technical_support@adult-fanfiction.org with your updated information. As to the tags, they are going to be a set of tables, and selectable. Not input on the fly though. That'll make it much harder to set up filters and for searching, and be sluggish as well.
  2. Tags will be rewritten as far as how they work, entirely. This is going to require the creation of additional tables for the tags, and a subroutine to add then and whatnot. Not sure yet how exactly this will work in search, unless we're looking at filtering using the tag field. I'll ask on that.
  3. I'm not sure, unless it was converted with the new hit counter? I'll look in to it though.
  4. Actually glad you pointed out that error, as the function referenced no longer exists, so the string is now corrected so it no longer calls for a non existent function. As we're making things more centralized to run GLOBALLY across the domain, the only title you'll see is the subdomain (archive) title.
  5. And once again I'll address this. The goal with the code is to make as much of it execute from one area, as we can. This means we're not running 23 different instances of the same script copied locally to the subdomains to open a story anymore, in different subdomains. We're using ONE script, in ONE subdomain to open stories EVERYWHERE.
  6. And again, I say not broken, but CHANGED. That isn't broken at all. That means we CHANGED it. The end goal for the scripting is to make as much of it run GLOBALLY from one spot, than from 23 different spots.
  7. Blue_GhostGhost is actually being published in a few places. She still has completed works up on this site, but her newer stuff she's got Patreon links and the like, where you pay to read. Good for her! Glad she's making a success of it.
  8. Can't do it. Again, that goes in to some legalities for the site, because of the site hosting fanfiction. Donations to the site to keep it running, yes. Donations to individual authors of original stories, no can do. How we can ask for donations for operating expenses is BECAUSE the site is free to use. You know, we have PLENTY of authors who started here writing fanfiction, and have gone on to publish. WITH publishers. In a VARIETY of genres. If the content is something a publisher doesn't want, then perhaps more attention to the craft needs to be made.
  9. Not broken, it's changed
  10. Well yes, we moderate, but we don't QC. As I said, sure it would be nice to be able to offer that to our authors in original. But with the fanfiction being hosted as well, we can't.
  11. @Joe Long We've had the suggestion here, as well, to offer subscriptions for pay for original, but that's a big problem for us. Hosting fanfiction means that we cannot in any way, shape or form, make money from people clicking in to read a story via a subscription. So, that would be why you'd never see AFF turning in to any kind of a pay site.
  12. Here's what's going on for the coding to display it. Manta has run in to a bit of a looping issue. I expect she'll have that worked out this weekend (I'll double check on that though). I could theoretically insert the OLD code to display the hit counter, but we'd end up back with the white screen of death, as THAT code is certainly not compatible to php 5.x. I can't help with the looping issue, because when I write code on my own, I have a penchant for making the endless loop from hell. So, my input would only make it worse on that end. So, it's safer to just wait for Manta.
  13. found and fixed. I was unable to replicate it, which tells me the cookies were working from prior to the upgrade. I know I've not cleared mine, so that would be why I didn't see it myself when clicking. There are 3 spots in the age cookie setter to direct to the subdomain it's in. Apparently there was ONE spot where the link went to anime2 instead of anime, but I've corrected it now, so should no longer be an issue.
  14. Yeah, we are. Thanks for asking!
  15. sounds to me like you need to clear your browser cookies.
  16. That member was deleted at some point. That's why you're seeing the white page in the old author page format.
  17. yep, they're accumulating in the db. Just not visibly. She said something about working on it after work today.
  18. Not sure, really. Right now, we just want the code to parse 15 years of data. Refining things with search filters is something I expect we'll tackle much later.
  19. That's planned for later, yes.
  20. Just tried and went straight to anime, not anime2
  21. Sure, this FAQ tells you how
  22. @24CaratCoal The banner ads have not changed in size. They're still 468x60. If you meant the area in which they're displayed, I could always reduce the physical size of the table, to make it so it's more mobile/touch screen compatible. The table size has also not changed. You're right, on a desktop, this is not an issue. @sherlocked17 No, the hits are still accumulating. The DISPLAY of them relies on old code database calls which will kill things, which is why the display of them in new code is not yet restored. You can see them in the general story listings.
