nope, not the settings. It just cuts out like crazy starting late Friday, going in to Sunday evening. Monday through Friday, it's FINE.

hehe, I have one better than that. I was 14, walking home from the mall with a friend, crossing a big field that was being developed for housing. We saw a funnel cloud dropping, and the closest shelter was a culvert pipe that had not yet been put in the ground. So we rode THAT one out in the middle of the pipe.

They don't like to give any days off. We were hit last month and our building lost power (while I was in class @ 11:30). They didn't cancel classes until 4:30! It's funny because most of the computer labs are in this building, and it's all new and techy. People can be stupid sometimes.

Wow. That sucks even more than my situation. (I went through almost 50 applications and managed to find 3 candidates who actually seemed worth interviewing. One didn’t show up for the interview, another backed out, and the third declined the job offer.)

Being from Memphis, we're hit the hardest with the news of his death. Beale Street has been non stop with tributes. I'm not that big of a blues fan but the older members of my family are. He will definitely be missed.

My condolences, I had never heard of him, but from what you people are saying, he was a phenominal muscian.
