  1. That kind of shit happens entirely too much. When I was in a supervisory position (did that for a long time), BECAUSE of my work ethic, I found I was intolerant of laziness, and sloughing things off on the other person because that other person would not only do their job, but the lazy one's job as well if necessary. I fired people like that. Never expected anyone to work in the same manner that I do, but jeez, you're paid to work. Not sit with your thumb up your ass and a phone glued to your ear. At the very least, do what your job requires of you, ya know? I do understand and realize most people won't go out of their way to do that extra little bit. I do it because if I don't keep busy, I get bored. so....now it's Monday part three for me tonight.....ugh
  2. I think it has more to do with unrealistic scenarios in things that kids are being made to read these days, and have been made to read in the past, and how it influences their behavior. People are people. People are FLAWED at best. I grew up in a family full of strong people, men and women. Strength is determined by how you handle things, especially adversity, more than it is by some silly book on a reading list, and how a fictional character behaves. The PROBLEM is portraying unrealistic behaviors to impressionable youngsters. If the schools really want to show good examples of strong humanity, they should be having them read about real people that have overcome problems, reached their goals in spite of those problems. THAT would be something that they could benefit from. No fairy tales, no uber bitches, no mega princes. Just real people who've achieved something.
  3. Considering how many years I've been administering and moderating forums? Yep, for years. All the time. Some of the horse boards I belong to are worse for rule breaking than any other communities I belong to.
  4. I've been reading at least . Have nothing to contribute writing wise, can't write worth a damn.
  5. NPCs would be nice, but they're not doable with this mod. What I could do is remove the downward restrictions, make it no limit; and see if maybe by attacking, we get some more players. It's a thought, anyway.
  6. that means you stole her last 8 kills....
  7. I can do rank insignia easily.
  8. no, was a setting I forgot to take care of. Sorry about that.
  9. I'll look into this later on today, after I've had some sleep.
  10. Apparently she has more time than we do......
  11. the forum is actually supposed to notify when you add a friend. not sure about adding to the ignore list tho. I can always check into that.
  12. one of mine is "irregardless". It's an... UNWORD ... ugh. The actual word that should be used is regardless.
  13. Actually, that's not true of cats. If they're attached, they can and will grieve themselves to death. (I've had two do this). My last dog was a German Shorthair Pointer. Smallest dog I ever had was a beagle/basset mix. Generally, I have a dog with my cats...but haven't wanted to get another dog since the last died from old age.
  14. *snickers* I was in the twister band...... Weather sure did get wild for awhile, lost power for a few hours, and it's not done yet. Still have a MAJOR squall line headed right at me.
  15. Say thankee to Lost_Soul for the seduction weapons
  16. awwww. thankee for refilling my stats!

  17. Actually yes, birthday information needs to be entered in BOTH programs. As I said, I'm looking into a way to hiding the birthdays from general view in the forum, and I'll ask about masking it from general view in the archive as well.
  18. Sounds to me like she has a personal problem with Goths
  19. urrrrmmm... 'spose you could add that to the pm that auto sends
  20. y'see this is why I have CATS.....small animals with ATTITUDE that do (occasionally, when they aren't being snooty) allow you to pet 'em Smallest dog I've EVER had in my life weighed roughly 40 pounds. My CATS are bigger than those little toy dogs.
  21. I'm actually looking for a way to do that, giving the user the option of not displaying that in public.
  22. hehe, but still, that's nicer than I would react.
  23. there's nowhere in the options where I can change that, unfortunately. I've checked. Would be nice if you got more than just XP for attacking 10 levels or more above yourself.
  24. no, not too late at ALL. I'm working on this project concurrently with several others at the moment. This one is a bit longer term, as the archive software is not yet set to where this can be implemented. But when it is, then I can get to work with all of this information.
