To quote my own mother, " Be it acident or illness, if they have to put me on life support indefinately to keep me alive, pull the plug or I'll come back and haunt you." I think it's a matter settled amoung family, bit I have to agree with my mother, if the only way to be kept alive is bt life support machines and no chance of living wihtout them, it's really no way to live and best just to let nature take it's course. It's different if it's an emegency matter and the life support is only temperary in order to do repairs/segery to the body so it can function on it's own again once healed up. Just my two cents. It wouldn't surprise me though that if time and nature could be charged with murder for people dying, they would be.

I for one welcome chirtmas music since the rest of the year my boos had bad opera on and it drives me batty. other then that the two big holdays that get celebrated in my household is hte lunar new year (also referd to as chinese new years) abd good old July fist, the day all the smooth talking got us independent of the Brits. I have to agree with the bad idea bit, server load is pretty heavy as it is, allowing images would push it futher then I think it can go.

remove the dash from x-men in the archive tag. x-men should be typed as xmen. this should fix your linking problem.

There was some issues earlier in the month with formatting in originals.... while fixing it an older version of latest was put in so that latest stories would still show... it's all fixed now. you can fo to next page and previous page.

It was the < pre > tags that were mucking with your formatting.

Actually It's been there before that, It was only viwable back then by the story owner when they were logged in, it wasn't a public thing, that is recent.

I remembered it and it will be returning as soon as possible.

my original coe is modified so it's only going to be within aff, the outside linking has been removed.

When ever it's been aproved, though it won't be a button, the code makes it so you post your recomended reading list like you do a story, so you can say why you recomend the story.

I've spent aa bit more time and tweaked my recomended reading fix so the only link types are story links to any where in the aff archive. and links to author pages any where in the aff archive. The cahnges were made due to the mods and the owner's concerns that to allow multi outside archive linking could be abused. on the bright side the fix code at a later point can be expanded upon if the descision is ever made to allow recomended stories from other archives.

I can see the point about other sites, though there are some authors that refuse to write on aff due to past problems. the archives I had had in mind for allowing cross linking was mediaminer and fanfiction.net two well known archives with similar traffic as us of couse that still is pending. the explanation part was so that people can't just advertise with it, since if it's not there or is written as an add, it would be a clear indicator for deletion. Jusy my logic, though it still needs to be fully ok'd by jaxxy on what will be allowed or not.

Actually, to restore the recomended reading is far simpler then what is assumed. In fact the answer allows people not only to recomend stories on aff, but also other fiction archives and give a reason why the recomend them. Instead of revising the old recomended reading function, it was simpler to edit the chapters functions to allow people to make recomended readling lists in a similar fashion as posting stories. no limit to how many stories can be recomended, no limit on where the stories are located. the ability to make a recomended reading list that can be aimed at a single fandom or multiple. Aff is about the freedom to express, why limit it to only aff?
