I don't write this fandom, but I suggest rereading your own story as if you were simply a reader rather than the author. Maybe even read it online rather than from your own files (assuming you aren't composing directly into the text box.) That may spark your muse. It does mine sometimes.

I've just posted the first chapter of my newest story. The first one I've done based on a movie, I believe. Also the longest piece I've attempted to do from first person POV. My rough draft is complete at twelve chapters, so there's definitely more coming. http://xmen.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600090315 This one features Pyro/John as the main character and focuses on what happens to him with the Brotherhood. There was so much there that was only hinted at--they could have made a whole other movie! I'll come back and post when I post new chapters.

Thanks PariahSolo, that's the best verbal/written response I've gotten out of anyone so far. I was beginning to think it was something that couldn't be described. I'm sorry to hear it's been so long since you've had a good one, PS. Most "givers" male or female have two hands as well as mouth and tongue. There's more to "head" than just bobbing up and down. BTW, my husband doesn't exactly have a "hair trigger" either. Thanks also foeofthelance for giving it a shot as well. I do hope to get a few more responses--get some different takes on the subject. I am a female writer attempting to write some sex scenes from the male POV. I'd like to be more descriptive in relating what my character experiences during sex, especially when receiving a "blow job." Of course, my first stop on the research train was asking my husband. He was unable to describe it for me. So I tried doing some Google searches and searching the forums here. Still nothing helpful. For those of you who are equipped, or who have gotten your information from a reputable source (i.e. a male who has actually received oral sex), can you describe how it feels? How does it feel compared to other types of sexual activities? So far all I have come up with is: "It feels good." "It feels like a hand job, only wetter." -- Don't know what a hand job feels like from the male POV either. "I can't really describe it."

After all isn't the term kind of funny itself when you think about it? Insert self into....Insert into self...Self inserts what into what? You know, I generally don't actually plan how many chapters a story is going to have. Setting a ball park length for my chapter kind of gives me a chance to stop and take stock of the story. If I'm posting while writing, then it represents how much work I'm going to do before giving the readers their update. I'm not totally anal about chapter length. I'll go under a little if there's lots of dialogue or if breaking the action right there would be awkward. I'm much more likely to go longer, though if it's gone really long, it usually means I've gotten too wordy somewhere and it's time to do a little pruning. And personally, I like the symmetry of breaking the story up into chapters of about the same length. Maybe that's a little odd. I do thank you all for sharing your thoughts.
