How do I edit or delete a chapter? The processes are very similar to adding a new story. Ensure you're logged in to the archive. Then navigate to the Story Manager in the desired archive. A new screen will load showing you all the stories you've uploaded to that category. Find the story that you wish to edit, and click the green EDIT link to the right: This brings you to the same screen as when you created the story. Scroll down, until you see the following: Clicking the EDIT link to the right of the already-posted chapter will let you edit that chapter. Remember to save your changes! Clicking the DELETE link to the right will delete that chapter. And clicking the red DELETE STORY link will delete the entire story. Please keep in mind that once a story is deleted, it is not recoverable. It is permanently removed from the archive, so please make sure you have a copy saved elsewhere. The + ADD CHAPTER link allows you to add another chapter to the story. The process is exactly the same as when you added the first chapter. You are brought to the editor screen: Title your chapter, add in the chapter text, and then click the link to SAVE CHAPTER.

How do I edit my story info? Do you want to rewrite a story summary? Fix up the disclaimer? Perhaps add some more content tags? There's an easy way to do it. Just follow these steps. The processes are very similar to adding a new story. Ensure you're logged in to the archive. Then navigate to the Story Manager in the desired archive. A new screen will load showing you all the stories you've uploaded to that archive. Find the story that you wish to edit, and click the green EDIT link to the right: This brings you to the same screen as when you created the story. You can now edit your story information, including the title, the disclaimer, the summary, and you can add tags as well. You can even, if you posted the story to the wrong sub-category, move your story around within the archive. When you are finished, click the UPDATE STORY link to save your changes.

How do I upload a story in the archive? The first thing you need to do is to ensure you're logged in. Use the dropdown menus to find the correct archive for your story. There is a dropdown for Original Writing, and one for FanFiction, which has submenus for the various sub-archives. Each archive will have an option for the Story Manager for that archive. Click on the Story Manager, and you will see a link to ADD NEW STORY: When you click on the icon to the right of the subdomain you want, it’ll take you to a new page, where you can begin to add all the relevant information regarding your story, such as title, summary, disclaimer, etc, as well as content tags. It is very important that you choose all the appropriate tags relevant to your story. Start with the title and description/summary: Then select the story rating from the dropdown, and start clicking checkboxes for all story tags: Then add in your disclaimer, and choose whether or not your story is publicly available, whether other members can add chapters, and add co-authors if you have them. You can also link to your review reply thread on the forum, and to any story discussion thread on the forum: Now you click the CREATE STORY link, which will bring you here: Scroll down, and you will come to this: Click on the ADD CHAPTER link, and you will be brought here: Title your chapter, add in the chapter text, and then click the link to SAVE CHAPTER. And there you are, your first chapter of your new story uploaded.

How to read your reviews 1) First, make sure you're logged into the archive. 2) Near the top right corner of the screen, you'll see your username. Hover your mouse over that and a drop-down menu will appear. The first option will be “My Profile”. When you hover your mouse over that, another menu will appear with various options. Ignore those and simply click “My Profile”. 3) On the left of the screen, you'll see a window with the word “Profiles” on it. Below that you'll see a variety of options; click the one that says “Stories Written”. 4) A new screen will load showing you the categories your stories have been uploaded to. For example, 'Harry Potter', 'Original', etc. Click on whichever category the story is in. 5) A new screen will load that shows you all the stories you've uploaded to that category. Each story will have a “Read Reviews” link. If there are reviews available for that story, then a number will be in front of it; for example, “(3)Read Reviews”. If you click on that link, you'll be able to read the reviews.

The only way this could be allowed is with the express permission from the original author. Otherwise it's plagiarism and will be immediately deleted.

She suspects the snake had been living in her ceiling for years though, so I actually suspect it's a wild python. -

Shopkeeper: Your dad used to come in here. Me: He did. SK: Saw a funny thing. He stepped outside the shop and was nearly run over by a kid on a skateboard. He told the kid what he thought; the kid gave him some lip back. So your dad punched him right in the face. Funniest thing I ever saw! Me: Yup, that about sounds like him. He took shit from no one.

How to find the author ID and story ID This is an easy one. When you go to an author's profile on the archive, you'll see a URL with numbers at the end. For example: members.adult-fanfiction.org/profile.php?no=1234567890. These numbers are the author's ID. Some older members, like myself, have only four numbers as their ID, while later members have ten numbers; they're both valid. Each story also has its own unique ID, and finding them is just as easy. When you click on a story, you'll find a URL with numbers at the end, but these numbers are different than the author's ID. For example: original.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=0987654321. Please note, though, that if it's a multi-chaptered story and you're at anything other than the first chapter then it will be slightly different. For example: original.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=0987654321&chapter=2. 0987654321 is still the story ID.

How to use search An important first thing to remember is that you can only search within individual domains. For example, if you want to search for a Harry Potter story, you first need to go to that archive. You can’t search the entire archive from one location. The reason for this is that we had no choice but to split the archive into different databases, since one single database simply couldn’t cope. Once you find the archive you want, click on that. Near the top left you’ll see the words “Search Archive”. Click that. You can search via a range of options. You can search for an author's name, a story summary, a title, and even story tags. Remember, though, it does not search the entire archive, only the subdomain you are currently in. So make sure you're in the appropriate subdomain before you start your search.
