I’m not sure exactly how I found fanfiction, but I seem to remember it being related or immediately time-adjacent to a period where I was very into early scripts for movies I liked. Sort of the same thing, a different take on an existing universe, I guess. I had access to a parent’s company printer, so I would print out fanfiction stories and read them like a book. (I know this sounds wasteful, but the alternative was reading them on a CRT monitor where if the dialup connection crapped out between chapter links I was screwed!) This was back in the late ‘90s/early ‘00s, so if FFN was up by then, I didn’t know about it, and was reading things from Geocities sites, boutique video game/RPG-specific sites run by individual people, etc. Weird to think back to then, it wouldn’t be for years later that I started writing my own fics.

I'm the author of this fic; it's called "Distraction." I removed it from this site because it got all of one review and its rating quickly wound up much worse than my other stories here - this was my first multi-chapter fic and I assumed the reaction meant it wasn't really that good. It's now on another site, without the lemon parts (one of which I thought was maybe a little gratuitious), and with a slightly revised structure that incorporates some of the "Ninja Instincts" fic that I've still got up here. Thanks for your interest, though!

I'm feeling a little slow myself, not getting what the third one's supposed to mean. (Or am I not alone there?).

I haven't had anything like that done to me (at least intentionally / as part of some BDSM), but maybe I can help a bit. For a man, after an orgasm it's basically starting from scratch to get to the next one. Parts are still sensitive and sort of unresponsive, so while it's possible to immediately start working toward the next climax, it's not particularly enjoyable. Even with proper care, it's still kind of unsexy and mechanical, at least on a physical level. The female equivalent might be going straight from a light touch on the arm to penetration - at best it's a bit rough, and would be much more pleasant with some foreplay. But of course when it comes to BDSM, the "normal" definition of what's pleasant doesn't necessarily apply.

I'm not sure whether it's more irritating when a Writer starts every Word with a capital Letter, or when the Writer seems to think that just a few random Words need to be consistently capitalized.

"PWP" probably would have been a better term to use than "smut" - what I meant was stories that wouldn't really have a reason to exist if not for the graphic sex, compared to stories where the sex scenes could be reduced to a sentence or two and there would still be a meaningful plot. Sort of. I'd say you'll lose the people just looking for porn, but pick up the folks looking for a nice meaty story to read. It probably boils down to less hits, more ratings and reviews.
