I'd say Goldfinger, because it was the point in the series where all the elements fell into place and Bond really became Bond. The Last Crusade, Return of the Jedi, and Die Hard with a Vengeance (at least the amazing first half of it) would be tied for second, but those movies don't really bring anything new to their series, instead just coming up with a new adventure in an established format.

Dear Former Supervisor, I hope you aren't still inviting groups of underage sales assistants in your department to check out the porn site with videos of you on it. Sure, it was an atmosphere of "oh, hey, check this out!," not "this video was practice for what I'm going to do to you." But there's a line between narcissism and sexual harassment, and I'm not really sure which side that was on. Thanks, Jyet

Me neither. I have never had sex in a country other than the one in which I was born.

Not guilty - the only time I hit a car was in a parking lot, but I stayed until they came over. G/NG: Have you ever obtained something from a vending machine without paying for it?

I generally leave reviews that are something along the lines of "Liked it, well-written, would love to see more!" Since I know those aren't very helpful to established writers, I tend to only review good stories from authors with just one or two stories posted. Of course, beginning AFF writers generally dip their feet in the pool with a oneshot or two, so I haven't really reviewed any multi-chapter stories yet. If I came across one, though, I'd probably review however much of the story was up at that point, and then consider each new chapter as potentially reviewable.

Well, first of all, I don't think that it's necessarily a problem to have graphic sex scenes in a story that's primarily adventure, or non-erotica. But that's a choice for you to make. Your regular readers will certainly take a look at any new story you put up, and if it's well-written, compelling, etc., it'll probably be a success. Sure, someone browsing through the archives or latest stories looking for a one-shot to get off on will probably pass. But AFF also has some talented writers who happen to write stories featuring graphic sex, and people come to the site to find their material as well as the smut (not that I'm bashing the latter, in fact it's almost entirely what I write). Personally, I'm not turned on by guy-on-guy stuff, but it seems that some of the best authors here write yaoi, so I'll read their stories and just kind of skim over the bedroom scenes. For the people who come to AFF to read interesting, well-written material (and they do exist), erotica's kind of a bonus, not a requirement.

You could also try a new hobby; learn how to play an instrument, experiment with photography, etc. What others have said about watching or reading something you enjoy also holds true - if you experience someone else's creativity, you'll probably be inspired to create something of your own. And remember, if you aren't happy with your work now, it gets better each time you make an effort. Try to pick out what you aren't happy with and improve it the next time.

There's been a lot of talk this year about whether or not John McCain, who will be 71 when and if he's elected, is simply too old to be president. I don't think that's true. For one thing, since he's already made it to age 70, his remaining life expectancy is about ten to fifteen years. On top of that, Ronald Reagan was 69 when he took office, and whether you love him or hate him, you've got to admit he was an effective president. In the interest of full disclosure, I'll admit that I am somewhere between moderate and conservative, and that I support McCain. So, thoughts?

While what I write is mainly PWP/smut, I definitely enjoy a story that focuses on plot above sex. For example, I'm not a fan of yaoi, but some of the best fanfiction I've read is from the Final Fantasy VII/VIII yaoi sections. It is certainly nice to enjoy reading a story, rather than just enduring a hackneyed plot to get to the hot stuff or simply being presented with it devoid of context. On another note, a story that is almost exclusively about sex isn't necessarily without plot. There are stories that focus on a single act of making love, but manage to explore the characters, their emotions, and their relationship quite deeply. Yes, those are stories that wouldn't exist if their sex scenes were excised, but many are of the same quality as multi-chapter odysseys. Adult fiction, whether fanfiction or original, is an interesting thing, as it uses a medium that doesn't seem too suited to the "adult" part. There are obviously more direct, efficient forms of sexual pleasure or pornography than reading text. That's why fiction that makes use of the detail, complexity and insight the written word can provide is usually superior to that which doesn't.
