  1. Part of the reason I ask is because I had a reader who is reading one of my long form narrative stories. Within the space of a week, they read every chapter of the story. I know this because they liked almost every chapter and I got a notification. But they got to around 10 chapters from the end of the story and stopped liking the chapters. The story didn’t really have a happy ending. One could argue it’s an “everything is terrible/life is suffering” ending. So part of me wonders if having a not happy ending is what caused them to stop. Maybe they did finish the story but didn’t like the last few chapters. Which makes me curious about what caused this change.
  2. Ah, I think some of my stuff can be classified as “happy for now”. I feel like it’s more emotionally satisfying to just let things be open or uncertain because it’s more real.
  3. What would you consider a happy for now ending? As in, they could be happy at some point in the future but aren’t right now?
  4. I get that. For me I tend to go with either tragic endings or ambiguous endings. The first story I wrote ended with an open ending where you could decide for yourself what the future is, that I’ve since extended. My next piece was a tragic ending. Some of my stuff on this archive have happier endings, though usually the figurative kind. Two of them were something of a tragic ending.
  5. Well sometimes it just happens whether you wanted to or not.
  6. Curious what your policy is on happy endings or more tragic endings? How many happy endings have you written versus more tragic endings? I’ve seen a few of both of them on the platform but curious what you tend to go for.
  7. Curious what you prefer when reading a story? Multiple orgasms or build up to a big finish? I’ve been writing a few things recently and I have gone back and forth on whether to have the primarily female characters having multiple orgasms or do a lot of build up. When you read a story, do you become less interested in a story if there’s an orgasm in the middle of the story? Or do you continue on to the end?
  8. Hmm, below the bikini line might be fun. I just find that a thesaurus and search engines tend to be very… academic in suggesting terms. This is more of a sexual situation. I think I’ve used "below my stomach” and stuff before. But I also struggle with not wanting to repeat myself too often.
  9. Yes, I figured that. Some small bug which is being worked out.
  10. Maybe they wouldn’t. It’s not so much the lap in that no one is sitting on it. But I might be able to. It’s the place between the stomach and the pussy. At least with the way I’m writing it. I suppose I could use the word “lower stomach” or something like that.
  11. So, I just noticed on the same story that you updated the tags for, my apostrophe in what should be “she’s” has now become a 39. Could you update it to either with the apostrophe or maybe just “she is” if there’s a problem with that for some reason?
  12. So, I’m wondering about a word that is bugging me even if I don’t know what else to use. Where do you go for alternative words? I don’t think a thesaurus works, but maybe Urban Dictionary? The word is pelvis. I’m writing something featuring a character that isn’t the kind of person who would use a anatomically correct word for something. Yet for some reason, I can’t come up with another word for pelvis. It’s a female character who dropped out of high school and is pretty working class. Suggestions?
  13. Much appreciated. I hope that what Manta is doing isn’t causing them too much frustration.
  14. It’s for the one that’s at the top of the Television section. Should I link to it? There’s a WIP tag and I wanted to change it to Complete.
  15. Well I already wrote the scene involving two women being competitive involving a male. However, I’m writing a scene where the same two female characters are being competitive involving a third female. I don’t want to kinda repeat what I did involving the guy.
  16. Okay, I figured that might be the case. I did mention in an authors note about this being the end. So people probably aren’t going to be surprised. But I wanted to have it be on the main page.
  17. Of course there is, internet gonna internet.
  18. Just wondering because I wanted to change my recently completed story from WIP to Complete, but that doesn’t seem to be working. Is that because the archive is still having some restrictions? Otherwise, maybe I just haven’t figured how to change things on the new system.
  19. For sure, although you probably shouldn’t be breaking toys. Some people might not want to be subverted too.
  20. Put up the final chapter, House Call, as well as the alternate ending which is the “Chapter 5”. As mentioned, I’m open to the idea of working on a “sequel” to this story based on the alternate ending.
  21. True but that can also be fun to play with. For instance, I’ve written stories where someone being sexually aggressive introduces the idea of toys, or the use of them, to work up to the more “hands-on” approach.
  22. Yes, I know that feeling well. I enjoy a more “hands-on” approach but I have sometimes wondered if I should use include them. There was one story I wrote recently and I kinda wanted there to be toys. But it just seemed more fun to go without.
  23. Yeah, I can’t put in the effort to do something like that. Which is why I separate them out and do more explicit stuff separate from narrative driven cleaner stuff. Though that might even be changing. I have ideas about putting some of the explicit chapters from my narrative driven content up on this platform.
  24. I had other reasons personally. I wanted to be taken seriously as a writer and avoid writing sex stuff. More recently I realized how ridiculous it was to limit myself.
  25. Totally get it. I have gone back and forth on it. When I first started writing, I didn’t have any serious sex scenes in content. In my first story, there were like 60 chapters of story before the first sex scene. Then many more chapters before two more. But in the sequels there weren’t. Then later on I’ve written multiple sex scenes into stories. Now I’m writing stuff on this site which is mostly just sex with plot a part of it. Or at the very least I try to make sure the characters sound like those from the original story. Usually I think “How would the characters actually get into a sexual situation? What events from the series lend themselves to that?” and so on.
