      I screenshot your rep. It’s too awesome not to. Haha~ This way, if it does go up any, then there’ll still be an image of it at that level.

  7. I think it greatly summarizes my life that the biggest problem I’ve got at the moment is that there are plenty of college girls who want to fuck me and call me Daddy, but I can’t get a damned date with anyone my own age!

      I’ve always tended to get along better with people much older or younger than I am. Two people who are really good friends of mine aren’t even teens yet; they’re my godfather’s grandchildren, so it’s not all that weird for me to be friends with them. The rest of my friends are usually older than me by a good bit, save for the very few who are actually close to my age. The ones who are close to my age can be counted on less than one hand.

      I’m actually in a relationship with someone about a decade older than me. It may be because of how my mind is, so I’m somewhere flickering between barely able to tolerate people my own age and just wanting to be with someone who holds the same relationship interests as I do that’s more than just sex. Age gaps in relationships aren’t really bad as long as it doesn’t cross over into that messed up pedophilia territory.

      Call ins should have a limit to them, not give anyone hours like that, with little chance to rest.

  11. Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve been on AFF. I’ve been a bit busy, but alright. Personal update since the last time I was on here: I’ve recently found out I’m autistic, which explains a lot about how I’ve experienced life and makes me happy because certain things make a lot more sense now. I’m on Tumblr a lot lately, and love the autistic community there because everyone is so nice and supportive. Anyhow, I’m going to have my story Just Under the Surface on hiatus for a while. I’m also thinking of starting a new fanfic that’s for the show Sherlock.

      Yes!~

      @BronxWench

      I don’t really care for labels except as an extension to describe oneself with clarity, but functioning labels are just used by NTs so often to discredit what auties have to say and not listen to us, whether it’s “But you’re high functioning, so you don’t know what it’s like for my low functioning child!” (Excuse me? But, honey, I’ve got a better idea than you do in all consideration. I’d advise listening to your kid.) or “Oh, they’re low functioning, so they can’t do anything for themselves.” (Darling, I guarantee that “low functioning” person has the ability to do things, just not how you’d go about it because they need a little help, not a damn warden.). It’s annoying and messed up. Of course, this isn’t everyone, it’s just the ones who are ableist. No, Karen, “You don’t seem autistic” is not a complement; that’s just denying me validation of what I already know. You wouldn’t tell a person with arthritis “You don’t seem like you have arthritis” just because they’re doing stuff you wouldn’t expect someone with joint pains to do, and that’s because it’s not exactly the same for everyone, yet autism is stereotypes into behind this particular way when it’s not really like that for everyone. So yeah, definitely pretty saddening we have to use those labels. Support levels would be a lot better than functioning labels.

      There are quite a few in favour of support labels over functioning labels, which gives a bit more than the functioning labels by telling how much support one needs and is interchangeable with a lot of things aside from autism. If you want to use functioning labels for yourself, cool. Who’s authority is it to stop you from doing what you’re comfortable with? As long as the functioning labels aren’t pushed/projected onto me, I’m not complaining. And I totally get the mind acrobatics thing. I’ve had to do that too at times.

      Neat. I suggest taking this quiz because it is absolutely wonderful and quite accurate. Also, this Google doc is a copy I took from the DSM-V and I italicised all that fits me or fit me at some point when I was younger because symptoms can change over time. Looking at that, you’d think I have no ability to pass as neurotypical, and yet people are always so surprised when I let them know.

      @BronxWench

      Ah,  I’m not one for functioning labels, personally. This Tumblr post explains it better than I’m currently able to.

      *happy screeching* Thank you so much! This is the best welcome back I’ve gotten since I started coming on AFF again! Since you said “Welcome to the spectrum!”, may I ask if you are also autistic?

  19. Weird, I didn’t expect that getting the ashes back would help, but it is, a bit.  Obviously, I wish I had the living cat instead, just a subtle measure of peace.  He’s on the table that I’ve used as a desk for years, appropriate because he used to lay/nap underneath it a lot.

      I know what it's like to grieve a pet. My stepfather's doberman was buried in the back yard after she died. We didn't even get the chance to bring her to the vet. He found her outside already dead. I still miss her a lot. I give my condolences. It's really hard, especially the first few days or weeks after losing them.

  20. Wish me luck on tomorrow's test! I have two chapters worth of material to test on plus fifty terms to know the meaning of for the terminology part of the test with no word bank to look to for help! Honestly, I like not having any word bank because it really gives me a little challenge to see how well I actually know the words and their meanings.

      I was always best in class for spelling & vocab & grammar. Grammar is life for me, and you can't have decent, good, or amazing grammar without spelling and word meanings involved. Spelling is important because just one letter difference can change the entire word, eg spite vs spit. And if the word is different, then that also changes the meaning, which can come off pretty awkward if the wrong word is used simply because of a one letter difference. :3 My obsession gives me the upper hand in such cases.

      It wasn't hard at all. If I'd had two more minutes extra to study right before the test, I'd have made 100% on the terminology part, but I missed three words out of the fifty I had to remember for it. That's still a passing grade, though, and really awesome. ^~^/

      I have to edit the formatting after c&p from Google Docs to the manager so italics and such don't get sifted out by the stupid "Paste as Normal Text" tool that is the only way the manager allows me to paste what I need to. That's the only negative for me. I just zoom in if the text is too small(usually when I'm not wearing either my glasses or contacts).

      I just go into the story manager for mine to check for typos and such. It keeps from adding to the DP count as well as allows me to fix any little err on the spot rather than having to refind it later.
