      @pippychick

      You use the daily contacts? Those are a lot more expensive than the monthly ones I use. It isn't hard to clean them, so I just do that. The fact that I flip so much between glasses and contacts helps in not having to clean them every day, though I do have to clean the lenses throughout the day when wearing my glasses because of all the little dust mites floating around inside if I'm home all day.

      @CloverReef

      Tinted moisturizer might work depending on the brand and such. I never bothered trying that myself, though. I sometimes don't even bother with make-up when wearing my contacts. If it's a particular occasion, I'll definitely put on at least some foundation and mascara, otherwise it's just depends on whether I feel like it or not.

      @KassX

      I'm afraid of wearing sunglasses with my contacts for that reason when I do put on make-up! I haven't worn actual sunglasses in so long because of that.

      I'm back and forth between my glasses and contacts. I'm less likely to bother with make-up when wearing my glasses, though, because the part connecting the lenses rubs off the foundation that's on the bridge of my nose no matter how good the stuff is, with or without primer. I look good either way.

  3. Today shall be my first day of work as a CNA! I don't count the orientation day because that was just watching a few videos and filling out a bit of paperwork. Anyhow, I'm very over the moon to start in a few hours. It's an eight hour shift, from 2PM to 10PM. I can hardly wait to start getting to know the residents and my coworkers.

      @Wilde_Guess

      I don't plan on going on to LPN or RN. I'm just going for PCT so my mum isn't on my ass about having a career that pays well. I plan on moving out of state far away from my current residence as soon as I'm done with phlebotomy this semester and EKG next semester so that I have the PCT completed to make things smoother when parting ways with her. I do want to maintain a decent if not good relationship with her. I just have to get a job near my intended location to move to once I've got PCT so that I have a steady income while finishing my books(at least one of them) and other plans I have.

      @Desiderius Price

      You didn't get that from my last comment? XD Thanks, Des. It really did. Haha~

      It is awesome! I had an amazing first day. Everyone there is super nice and I love helping out the residents with little things.

      Thanks, @DemonGoddess! It's definitely going to be better than my last job. It'll be good for me to be somewhere my empathic nature is an advantageous asset to have.

  9. I know nothing about Gridiron, as we call it down here, but this little fact I learnt today blew me away: an average game only contains 11 minutes of action.  11 minutes!  That’s astonishing to me.  That contrasts to rugby league that we play down here which is two 40 minute halves, each half essentially non-stop action.

    1. Arian-Sinclair

      Arian-Sinclair

      That's a short game. I don't thing there's another that short of action time.

      Phlebotomy has to do with drawing blood, @CloverReef. Haha~

      @Desiderius Price, thanks. Haha~ I'll try not to jab things up. Class is pretty cool.

      No worries, the  test is merely a written one. We have yet to start prepping for clinical. :D

      There also need to be more stories that don't perpetuate the misinformation that female virgins always bleed the first time having intercourse with a male. That happens because of inexperience and not knowing how to do it without hurting the partner; it's not supposed to hurt. I did my research on that. It's also going to hurt more if you're expecting it to, so it could just be the partner's mindset, in which case it's better to wait a bit and help her relax, get her mind off that. Of course, there's too much taboo on sex for actual facts around that in particular to be taught in a sex Ed class, so that misinformation will still get around. France has better sex Ed classes than America, as does Italy and other places. Oh, look, I ranted. XD

      I hate in an RP when someone just goes and assumes my OC is a virgin despite the fact that she's really damn kinky and taking some of the initiative.

      Here, I don't feel as if I have to tiptoe around cussing and that I can let loose when the time comes for it in my stories.

      I swear more people are reading my content on AFF than back on Quotev. I was thinking of moving what I have there to AFF, maybe rehashing some of it.

      There are a lot of stories that have no reviews on AFF.

      You should also try playing Horrortale after, in that case. I don't think any of the other AUs have their own game like that, so it's a novelty. My favourite character is Sans. He's so punderful. Heh heh~

      I think so as well, and I've only recently been a part of the forums. I don't think I've ever seen a forum connected to a fiction archive anywhere but for AFF. It has a different feel to it that I quite enjoy. ^_^

      Ooh! Yes! Literature is one of the most amazing forms of art! It is my world, my heart, my solace! I remember when I used to be mad over not being allowed to check out books that I had to wait until I was in an older grade for because I'd already read all the books in the school library I did have access to. I also grew up on Harry Potter and Percy Jackson and Charlie Bone and Fable Haven as favourites from fourth grade on up. The former two are well known, especially HP. The latter two, it's a bit harder to find fellow fans or even just others who know of the books. The latter two definitely are deserving of movie depictions of them, both very good reads.
