I'm good! How are you?
-
I’m pretty good now, thanks Strange
-
I’m glad. but if you feel you need a break at any time, take it.

http://cartoon.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600096185 Okay, now that that's done, time to write 3 small stories taking place on the same street ;)
-
I honestly didn't think I'd be writing here for 2 years straight. I initially was just going to do Lilo's Lesbian Night and that's it. But then I got more ideas for fanfics, and the rest is history. Thanks for all the support guys and happy holidays
-
I just realized Kari Visits The Incredibles has over 10,000 hits. That really makes my day, thank you
-
I'll be honest: I don't like rushing. I've always hated having to get a story done every week instead of taking my time to make it something I'm proud of. That's why I gave up on deadlines this year and decided to take my time with my stories.

I'm now legally old enough to drink; although I'll never want to.

Happy birthday! And drinking is totally overrated.
-
Thanks guys, really appreciate it
-
My birthday tends to be ignored in RL… even the 40th went unacknowledged, so I know the pain….

I've asked myself this a lot when writing: does the length of a chapter matter?
-
It both does and doesn’t matter. In the end, it down to how much you wish to convey in a chapter to make your point. Onthe pragmatic, a really long chapter takes longer for the reader, and details might clutter; but a really short chapter might not have the depth you’re desiring (and readers constantly having to click for the next one). For each of my stories, I’ve got numbers in my head, a range, that if I’m too low or too high, I evaluate what I’m trying to do with the chapter, then decide to cut/add material, or merge/split chapters. More often, its on the high side and I’m splitting chapters.
-
Thanks a lot man
-
DP’s response is right on the money. I would add that a chapter should finish at a place that feels like a natural break in the story but that also whets the reader’s appetite for more. So the length of the chapter ought to be determined, in part, by how long it takes to reach such a point.

I’m going to be frank, I don’t like stories that just copy and paste old material and ad next to nothing new to make it fresh. To me, that’s just lazy.

I wasn’t referring to anything related to the site. I was just thinking out loud.
-
Aw, I apologize for the misunderstanding. As you can tell, plagiarism is among the worst sins on this website.
Now, if I was feeling mischievous, had the extra time and inclination to do so, I could be tempted to write a story about a plagiarist and use the tag [plagiarist] on it….

::snickers::
Des is right, though. Plagiarism is one of the things we really do take seriously, and we do take a bit of pride in our reputation for dealing quickly with any plagiarism reported to us.

I’ve noticed some of my recent fanfics have been getting lower hits in contrast to my earlier work. Is it just me or is the traffic just slow on the site?
-
Oh, the way I could take that comment out of context…..
There’d certainly be some ebb and flow to traffic; heck, people might suddenly find it blocked at work. However, I haven’t posted anything new here in a little while (except for halloween), so I can’t state if its up or down. I do know my potter fic on another site has garnered 4.7k hits in about two months.
-
I can attest to things being a bit slower around AFF, but we tend to see ebbs and flows. We’ll see a lot more activity over the holidays, when people have more time off and find themselves inspired.

Some domains are still pretty hectic. I got like 6000 hits on that not entirely serious Naruto oneshot in less than a month. My average is closer to 6 hits. And two of those are probably mods checking to see if a) Anybody’s getting disembowelled and b) it’s covered with the violence tags.
There’s definite waves of activity though around when college kids especially have less workloads on.

Lola Bunny’s New Job, my first and thus for only ChallengeFic has over 10,000 hits. That’s amazing, thanks so much!
-
So, yeah. My dog died. So sad :(
-
Sometimes I get an idea for a story and as I start writing, it becomes much longer and more complex than initially planned.

To put it simply, life's complicated right now. So complicated that it's preventing me from getting any writing done. Sorry for the lack of updates or fanfics.

Turns out legendary WWOEC artist DT had been recieving private messages that his work sucked and when he reached his breaking point, he quit. Evidently these individuals have never heard of a comment section -.-

I had to remove the image that you posted with this status, because it contained sexual content. You are welcome to reupload the image of the forum thread, as long as you crop out the sexual images at the top.
Willow Darkling, forum moderator.

that was a mistake on my part, I apologize
-
No problem. I just had to remove the whole picture, because I couldn’t figure out how to crop it myself. But as I said, you are welcome to upload the image again, as long as you crop out the sexual images. Or, if you prefer, you can provide a link to the original image, as long as you tag it as NSFW.
