So many questions indeed! Since Jack has the self-admitted voyeuristic tendencies, I'm going to assume that he will be doing most of the peeping. But how will he know where to peep? He caught Joe and Sam basically by chance-- same with Matt and the two girls at Homecoming. Granted, Jack keeps his eyes open but he can't hang around the gym all the time and no one will be having sex outside this time of year. But on that thought-- who can hang around the gym all the time? Well, phys-ed instructors of course. I hope Ms. Cartwright pops up again in this Saga. Bet she knows all about what's going on.

I just logged on and noticed that this forum has gone over one quarter-million views. Joe, you're getting to be a household name.

One thing I thought was interesting was Amanda's statement that she has no interest in dating guys-- and then Jack asks, "What about girls?" Yeah, I'll be watching this development as I was expecting her to hook up with Helena. I also thought it was kind of strange that Joe turned down Jack's forgive-and-forget offer. Could it be possible that he is still involved with Sam and they're being extra careful this time?

Correct. Mary Hannigan took Kayla to the doctor to get her on birth control. The conversation between Jack and Mary was the day after the Homecoming fight-- Chapter 9, I think. Jack swore to Mary that he would stand by Kayla if she got pregnant. What a guy! Now excuse me, I gotta go read Chapter 45.

Right when I leave for work... No Monday Night Football again.

Haven't even started. I have to wait till next week when I get my year-end bonus and can pay cash. Learned a long time ago that the road to Hell is paved with Christmas credit card debt. Jack's conversation with Rhona once again brought up a so-called "catalogue" of prostitutes. That could be the only actual evidence that the ring exists. It wouldn't be on social media but rather on the pimp's smart phone or tablet-- easily deleted or explained away as just a collection of student pics. Jack's only lead on the catalogue is Matt, who has actually seen it. But even if Matt confirms the existence of the ring, Jack won't think it's his business-- yet. So who's the pimp at Brow Ridge High? I'm going to say it's Evan Daniels and his pals. Jack better patch it up with Joe pretty soon as he's going to need a few friends. I'm starting to form a vague theory about that pipe bomb.

Hell, yeah! That sounds like the story that Mike Harrison related to Jack about his early days with Hannah. Good to hear from you, Johnny. We all hope your dad is feeling better these days and best of luck with your new girl.
-
Sure, why not? Let it be a brainy, good looking twenty-one year old college guy-- someone that Kayla would be attracted to. It would be interesting to see Jack's reaction.
-
That's an idea. The most likely scenario is that Kayla meets someone at the animal clinic, like a veterinary student who works there part time. They'd have a lot in common and it would be an interesting counter-point to the Jack-Rhona friendship.

Hey Joe, I'd like to see three things happen in Chapter 45-- call it my Christmas Wish list: 1) As Mike Harrison suggested, I'd like to see Jack go over to Joe's house to try to smooth things over so we can finally meet his family. 2) I'd like to see Belle reconcile with Jack. I know that she and Joe are done but maybe they can be civil to each other. 3) I'd still like to see Becca and Kayla have it out-- not necessarily a fight but perhaps a few low-key death threats. Happy Holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone on the SITO forum!

Amanda: "I kinda hate guys right now." Joe Long's theory that Amanda will go with a girl got a boost with this chapter. Helena has cut off Sam from hanging with her group and Amanda is now her favourite. I'm looking for them to hook up by Christmas. And the kicker-- Hannah and Mike won't be able to say a word since they apparently have no problem with gays.
-
Thanks, Dark! You are right on Chapter 24, however, her name is Vanessa-- not Veronica. Jack was trying to understand Mike's extreme attitude concerning the twins' incest and asked his father if Aunt Vanessa ever came on to him when they were younger. Mike said that it never happened.
-
Jack's grandparents were mentioned once before. They sent presents last Christmas. Mike has a sister that has been mentioned, although I will have to go back and look up her name (unless someone else remembers it).
-
Well, I can certainly understand why your niece would give up on men after being taken advantage of and treated so terribly. Let us hope that she is happier these days and that her so-called "uncle" gets grief about it for the rest of his life. But I don't think that will be the path that Amanda takes. She has a family that loves and supports her. I think that when she calms down she will realize that it was Sam's fault, not hers. [Where is Fitzsimmons when you need him?] On the other hand-- if you are right and Amanda does go with a girl, it will be Helena. Hers is the one friendship that Amanda was worried about losing. That would be poetic revenge, wouldn't it? Sam cheats on Amanda and she takes his sister as her lover.
-
Alan: "This is your fault" and "You told us not to be together! You made us not to be together! I would have never done this to her!" Amanda: "Your fault!" and "You made me stop with Alan! You made me look for someone else! Alan would never have done this to me!" As you can see, virtually identical outbursts at their parents-- this is why I thought they might get back together. However, you are probably right in thinking that it won't happen. Alan has Kelly and probably doesn't want to give her up. I don't know what will happen with Amanda. No doubt there are plenty of guys at school who want to date her but at this point she probably wouldn't trust anyone but Alan. Just have to wait and see...

Hey Joe, Are we going to be treated to another Thanksgiving feast at the Harrisons? I hope so, that will be an interesting get-together! Jack will sit between Kayla and Tara for protection while everyone fawns over him asking to hear the story again and when is he getting his stitches out. [Didn't you always hate that about Thanksgiving-- getting the 3rd degree from your relatives?] Alan and Amanda will sit side-by-side, staring death at Hannah and Mike throughout the meal. I'm thinking that they will get back together in order to spite their folks.

Can someone educate me on this? Okay, Brow Ridge is a four-year high school (mine was three-year). Do Juniors and Seniors each have their own prom? We had Senior prom, period.

Craig may have been a douche at one time, but he's not stupid or suicidal. Think what would have happened if Jack hadn't tipped him off. Numerous arrests for alcohol-- not to mention Craig's parents facing charges. Thanks to Jack, Craig was able to ditch the booze and then take full advantage of the situation. I know it doesn't sound very dramatic but it was a neighbour who called the cops.
-
Welcome to the SITO forum, sir. I agree that Jack needs to lay low for a while-- ain't going to happen, though. One of my favourite proverbs is: To do nothing is often the best course of action.
-
Well said. As has been noted before, Becca sees Craig as her ticket to a better life after high school. She's acting like an over-protective wife already. I'm looking forward to the cat-fight with Kayla. One good thing will come out of this-- the situation at home will get better for Jack once his parents see his bruised face.

Did I call it or what? Great chapter! It ranks up there with Chapter 12 which has been my favourite so far. I predicted that Alan and Amanda would be royally pissed at their parents and that happened also. As for who called the police, I believe it was one of the neighbors rather than Jessica.. I doubt that three police cruisers would have been dispatched unless the identity of the homeowner and their address (on Caller ID) could be verified. Jessica on a cell phone wouldn't have gotten that kind of response. Joe, take all the time you need on the next one... you just keep getting better!
-
Joe, After re-reading the last chapter, I believe I may have come across a minor discrepancy in the storyline. The first scene of Chapter 42 has Alan and Jack discussing their plans for the evening. Alan says, "Sam and Helena's mom is taking them out to Perry's" (I'm assuming that's a restaurant). As near as I can recall, the only other time that Sam's mom has been mentioned was in Chapter 27 when Amanda brought Sam home for dinner. Mike Harrison asked Sam, "So what does your mom do?" and Sam replied, "She's gone" and, "She...just left." (I took that to mean that Mrs. O'Dell had simply abandoned her family, as Sam didn't mention divorce.) Did you perhaps intend for Alan to say, "Sam and Helena's dad is taking them out to Perry's"? That would reconcile Chapters 27 and 42. I'm eagerly anticipating 43!
-
Okay, possible. Even though Joe could build the pipe bomb, I still have trouble believing he will. I think that whoever is responsible for the bomb will be directly connected to the prostitution ring. You are right in thinking that Joe could easily fall under Jessica's influence. Once he is outcast he will latch onto anyone who shows him sympathy.
