I think it's a good bet that she has hooked up with Helena. When Amanda was at rock-bottom after Sam's cheating-- locking herself in her room and not speaking to anyone-- Helena was the only friend she valued. It has been suggested that Amanda might become a local slut, offering herself to anyone who wants to pay for the privilege but I don't think she trusts guys anymore.

I missed this the first time I read your post. I certainly don't doubt that women are abused and taken advantage of in the prostitution business. I also don't doubt that one of the reasons we are indoctrinated against it is that our benevolent government cannot easily get their cut of the action. Think about it. The irresponsible use of alcohol and tobacco products causes far more damage to our society than pay-as-you-go sex does, but the 'vice tax' is a huge cash cow for the politicians so they look the other way. I know that prostitution is legal in the state of Nevada (on a county-by-county basis). I'll have to do some research and see how it works there. Google, that is-- I'm not planning a road trip.

Don the Pimp surprised me-- I thought sure it would have been Evan running the girls. Another thing was the catalogue being an actual loose-leaf binder and not on a tablet. Maybe Don is old-fashioned or doesn't trust technology. I don't think it would be very good evidence unless one ore more of the girls came forward-- and if Karen is any example that isn't going to happen.

You think that maybe Kayla is starting to act more like Becca? It makes sense when you think about it. The Hannigans and the Harrisons not only live next to each other, but also spend holidays and take vacations together. They may as well be in-laws already. Not hard to see that Kayla would become super-possessive of Jack. That is ironic since Kayla always resented Becca's bitchy 'hands off' attitude concerning Craig.

True enough. Jack had better be sure that Kayla is kept completely in the loop from this point on. If things are going to go south then total honesty will be his best defense in case anyone tries to set him up.

I've been giving some thought to Jack's plan. He said that he needs "one other person" to help him and I thought I had a fairly good idea of who it is. My problem is that if the person I'm thinking of starts actively helping Jack then it sort of blows my pipe bomb theory out of the water-- pun intended. So, without giving away any theories, if anyone has an idea of who this person might be, I'd appreciate a little help. Just a name, though-- nothing else.

I believe you're right. I went back to the end of Chapter 8, the first time they had sex. Jack noted that Kayla had a small patch of hair above her clit that had been trimmed in the shape of a heart. He didn't go down on her then or any other time that I recall. Admittedly, I usually sort of skim the sex scenes because the story is so good but if Jack were to really go to town on her pussy that would be memorable!

First of all, my post with the simulated waterboarding pic was intended as tongue-in-cheek (I've been told that I have a morbid sense of humour). I sincerely apologize if anyone was offended. I went back and read the sections of Chapters 4 and 5 where Jack was cuffed to his bed. From the narrative I got the impression that the handcuffs were genuine restraint devices and not some cheap knock-off you can pick up in a novelty store or sex shop. It has also been noted that Jack has impressive upper-body strength and could no doubt easily break cheap handcuffs-- if not the bed itself. So where could Amanda get two pairs of "real" handcuffs? Well, there are any number of online law-enforcement supply companies only a few mouse clicks away. One technical note for those so inclined-- it really isn't possible to secure the legs of an adult male by using handcuffs as they would probably be too small. You need a proper set of leg cuffs. They're larger and have a longer length of chain.
