I dont think this is the case.
Why would the father even CONSIDER separating them if he is in a relationship with his sister?
Knowing the difficulties he had to go through, he doesn't want his kids to suffer the same fate. Like I said, it's probably NOT the case considering the way Joe has written the rest of the story but at this point, nothing would really surprise me.

While it's probably not the case, it wouldn't surprise me to find out Jack's parents are siblings and had to move away from everyone they knew and loved and that's why the grandparents aren't mentioned.
Love all the speculation, especially the outlandish ones. We always need some comic relief to keep us sane.

Well it looks like Max dodged another death, but I think he has lost his wife. Every other time he was away Emma got all worried, this time she thought about him a little bit then asked Petra if she wanted to play. What that says to me is that she is falling more in love with Petra than she is supposed to be with Max. It almost seems like she got what she wanted when she got pregnant so she doesn't need Max anymore. Just my observations. Its really a shame because Max really loves her.
Magus is a master of giving you a perception and then changing it. Stay tuned. Things aren't always as they seem.

LOVE the story order of this chapter, keeping us waiting to see Max's fate although I'm a bit surprised you didn't milk it with sad, horrified reactions of the rest of the "family" that was on the sub. Still, overall a great chapter.
Oh, and I LOVE the Virtual World!

Had a hard time reading the rest of the story after the explosion that seemed to signal Max's demise. I was so bummed I waited until this morning to read the rest. I guess I'll hold judgement and wait to read the next chapter before I decide to riot!

Well I have been reading your stories from boy in the grass 1 and the series started off excellent. But lately it seems that you either havea big hate on for Max or Emma. But as much as I hate to see it I think it is time to dump Emma. She started out in love with Max, but since they went to school it seems you are trying to break them up. First you had Emma fall for Becca so hard she forgot Max. Then you brought in Petra and it seems that the same thing is happening again. Why don't you just have Max get together with Marge, who you seem to have forgot about, along with Amy and Alice and forget about the rest of the girls.
Are you forgetting Emma and Nadi are both knocked up and are at home with Marge and baby Cynthia while Max and company are halfway around the world in the sub? Just give it time. Absence makes the heart grow fonder!

Actually loving the character development with Pell & Simpkins. Always nice to see the nerd get the hot girl. So many characters, so little time. At least it's quality time. Still waiting on the interrogation of faux David. Should be interesting.
Thanks for having Gerald stand up to Joanne and the back and forth between Legion and Carol and company was very cool!

While I'd love to read another Northstar, leaving us hanging in with GITG in the meantime is just plain MEAN! Amy's not one to make an emergency call like that unless it's important so now I'm a little worried.
Kinda bummed Cynthia isn't really Cynthia. Now I'm wondering who the hell she is and why was Umstead pretending to be David and why is Cynthia calling him Dad? Brainwashing or an evil plan?
Also gonna have to go back and read the last chapter or two of Northstar just to remember what was happening.

Nice! Glad to see Cynthia is really Max's sister but not sure I like Amy getting a hold of her so soon! Like the backstory on Gerald and Joanne but I still want to flush her, unless she actually DOES have redeeming qualities that none of us can see.

I say flush Joanne. I don't think there's any changing that evil. It's not like she was an inherently good person who was brainwashed. Then again, maybe it should be left up to Gerald and Evan, AFTER they regain their spines.
Getting back to David, perhaps he was always Peter Umstead to the government but David Johanson was an alias for secrecy sake. Maybe he's Cynthia's father but Rick is really Max's father. Only our evil genius knows for sure.

Holy Crapanoli! That was AWESOME! (Sorry, just watched The Incredibles and the kid on the bike popped into my head). DEFINITELY worth the wait although the Cynthia cliffhanger pissed me off!
I was already thinking "David" wasn't really David when he seemed so incredulous towards Max's "toys". Really hoping "Cynthia" IS Cynthia, though. The future tryst implications could REALLY be fun, especially with Alice and Amy. A Cynthia/Alice hookup would be SO cool to read.
I also see some more interesting stuff happening in the VW. Besides the Samantha/Gerald/Joanne storyline, they'll have to interrogate David/Peter as well, most likely in the VW. DEFINITELY interested to see how that goes.
Mike, Leia AND Mel? Sure didn't see that coming. Nice twist. I guess "The Family" tends to rub off on a person.

ok, I don"t now about anyone else but not knowing how the reunion went between Max, his dad and his sister is driving me crazy. I am literally checking the site 4-5 times a day. hope your holidays were good. lol
Yeah, I'm jonesing a bit as well. Checking once in the morning and once in the evening hoping for a tidbit. Waiting patiently isn't my strong suit.

While waiting for Magus to finish his holiday, I started reading some other stories and came across this on Literotica. It's a little out there unless you're a sci-fi fan but it's VERY well-written and I'm pretty sure Magus would love as much as I did. Book 1 is reminiscent of The Fantastic Four while the continuation book, Book 2, combines Star Trek and Guardians of the Galaxy. Fun read with lots of hot Magusfang-type sex and imagination. I think you guys will enjoy!

All I can say about that chapter is Bravo! VERY well done!
As for future chapters, with Volstok dead there's no one to pay off the other bad guys so they're gonna be crawling out of the woodwork, plus I doubt he was the head honcho anyway. I'm guessing it's gonna be a wild and bumpy ride going forward.
As for the next chapter's title, I vote for "Samantha Rides a Buffalo".

Interesting. Maybe it was just my frame of mind when I started reading but I found myself angry most of the time while reading this. Had my Dad ever screamed at me and threatened me like Jack's Dad did, I can promise you we'd have come to blows. I was also a little pissed at Becca there at the end. Blaming Jack for Craig's mood was way out of line, at least in my opinion.
I guess getting me all worked up and angry is the mark of a good writer. Well done, Joe!
