Implants – interesting; probably some extra problems besides advantages? How does he cope with them? Then, do they add anything to his appearance, probably, people gave him a nickname because of them? (like, ‘Titanic’ because a person has a plate \ chip made of titanium implanted in his head ). Nickname? Habits (esp. bad)? Mannerisms? Any quirks of character? Whatever makes a character lifelike – add it to his portrayal.. Personally I prefer reading about not super-professionals but rather people training for profession, so they are shown in process of accomplishing anything. It’s more interesting – and complicated. Or the situation of competition, or actual combat \ struggle – it’s dynamic, never boring (and generally hard for authors to describe ) If he isn’t ‘suited for actual combat’, how does he plan to defend himself in case of danger? Any strategy \ inventions of his for the worst case scenario? What about his reaction to the death of his squad? How does he cope with isolation issues, if he has any (?) Is he a loner \ team worker by nature? Does he miss anyone? What about his attitude to the work he’s doing, to machines \ devices etc. Is it his vocation (so he’s a technophile) or was he forced to do it by…? Very important: what are his thoughts and observations concerning this ‘uninhabited world’ around him? Any ideas how to survive in case of long-term stay, any potential dangers…? Details, descriptions, inner monologue etc. - all these are very important. So lots of ideas here . Hope it was of some help to you.

One more plot. Kinda 'help me through the world' story The story’s set in a period of peace between two bordering worlds, two territories - the Land of People who dwell in crowded cities and the Land of Forest Spirits. The former originated from the latter, of course, but the years of human abuse, ignorance and misguided exploitation (people call it 'nature's conquest') broke the once strong ties. Spirits fought back humans, this war went on for centuries. The peace treaty was eventually achieved via bonding humans and the spirits’ descendents (who people dubbed ‘demons’) anonymously, spiritually. So, each forest creature’s bonded to a human he\ she will never (hopefully) meet.. and so they live, separated and not willing to connect, not feeling each other and never wishing to. It’s like an unpleasant necessity, the true meaning behind the bond has been long lost to both parties. The Spirits eventually gave up on stupid creatures, the spirits’ descendants learned to look down on them as ungrateful and evil degenerates.. people learned to fear spirits and keep away from forbidden territory. This connection is never openly discussed in both Lands. But to Naruto, a wild and free spirit descendant (‘demon’), who’s considered to be special and somewhat outcast among his peers, this bond with a human was always a sacred and special thing he secretly cherished. The case is that unknown human’s emotions, dreams and, most of all, loneliness and despair were so akin to his own!.. Naruto followed and felt each step, each action, mistake or a good deed of that human creature, he even could 'advise' him on some matters.. Naruto believes when met they’d have made true friends and could help each other achieve their goals.. but even if this human feel the same way about the spirit, it’s unknown to Naruto. This feeling of being totally exposed to a stranger is very embarrassing and he just ignores it. The closeness between 2 worlds was always tempting but Naruto could never dream of breaking the ancient rule – it has never happened before, after all.. he just toyed with the thought but never tried. So they co-existed till Naruto felt that something terrible befell the person he’s bonded to. Someone’s going to harm him and has already taken him far away from his home. Naruto cannot ignore that human’s inner cry for help as it’s ringing through his very core. He springs into action ready to break the forbidden borders between 2 worlds and save the man.. Notes: forest spirits don’t discriminate between sexes, so that human could be a boy \ girl for all Naruto cared; it just 'happened' that Sasuke's boy there IS a reason, logic why a certain human is bonded with a certain spirit descendant, though it’s now lost to both worlds; spirit descendants have special powers, of course; Sasuke's kidnapped \ going to be killed \ going to commit suicide to escape a fate his kidnappers impose on him.

I'll just put down the plot as I see it, OK? In so many words Pairing: Naruto|Sasuke, Minato|Itachi Sasuke was raised within rigid, very conservative morals of Fugaku.. the family’s honour, the right choices etc etc. Of course he’s against ‘deviations’ of all kind, including homosexualism. Such ‘things’ aren’t discussed in the clan as if they don’t exist; the clansmen found ‘guilty’ are considered dead and are ostracized. Naruto’s Sasuke’s best childhood friend and they both lived in a small town. They parted ways after the graduation which seemed only natural. What Sasuke didn’t know about the man is that Naruto had realized he was attracted to him so he decided to distance himself to avoid the eventual rejection and, worse, hatred and scandal. Everything seemed to be fine till Naruto got back to the town and accidently found out his father and Itachi, connected through business partnership, have loved each other for a longest time. As himself, they decided to sacrifice their feelings over the love and happiness of their nearest and dearest (there are lots of reasons). Naruto wants nothing more than to see his father happy and is torn between two options: to talk to Sasuke and try to change his views (as he's closest to Itachi in the whole clan) or just let things be. What’s more, he is still drawn to the other man and, overwhelmed by a mere possibility of Sasuke accepting Itachi’s choice, Naruto starts to feel (or imagine) he can have a chance, too.. Now it’s just impossible for him to see Sasuke every day and not to tell a word. Something’s going to happen and, knowing Sasuke’s true volatile, aggressive nature, the imminent confrontation can turn ugly..

'Dickless' by SeanWright (at AFF.net). The other story by this author portrays Sasuke as a cunning Hokage-maker ('All The King's Men (formerly I Want You So Bad)' - very interesting and convincing plot.

Group projects can be a really good experience (sometimes - unforgettable cause you had so much fun together) depending on so many factors: the set task and subject, sometimes - number of the participants (the more - doesn't always = the better ) and foremost , motivation.. personalities involved, too etc etc And deadlines, too. How can you cooperate with complete strangers not having enough time to brainstorm, choose the best idea, discuss and divide the responsibilities and complete the project?.. Impossible and frustrating. Especially if you're motivated by fear of failing it all.. from the very beginning. I faced the situation when showing much enthusaiasm about the task got me stuck with doing practically everything.. and hating it all. Group project aren't supposed to 'suck', it's all about teachers' bad time management and unreal expectations. Wish you luck, though.
