But here’s a writer question isn’t it a nice thing to do to put your manuscript through spellchecker/grammarly so your editor doesn’t hate you? You know catch the obvious errors first.

I’m annoyed because it feels like the only thing visiting my “clean” version of my fanfic on FF.net are bots stealing it – I post, and a half dozen bots lift it inside a day or two; at least one a day after that.  Feeling like I should simply abandon the clean version, and only pursue the explicit version on AO3.  That’d make writing easier, but also jerks around anybody still reading the clean.

12K words left and my wordsmithing is nearing its end 

At what point must I stop calling my story “short”, a million words?

So, the paternal unit has turned 69, and after two weeks of careful consideration I have decided to spend the rest of the year sniggering. He does not think it’s that funny...

That review suggesting I reskinned another author’s story when theirs was posted a decade after mine bugged me a little. I mean, if I had a time machine I’d be using it to go back to the old west just like in Back to the Future 3, not stealing stories!

It could just be some people are waiting for the finished product, and I know that as long as the person my stories are intended for enjoyed them, public opinion doesn’t matter. I also realize I’m posting fics for a fandom that’s probably long since gone, but I’m a bit sad my story with sex is still getting way more hits than my story without sex.  Again, it could just be because some people are waiting for the finished product. I dunno – it’s a conflicted feeling. Again, the people the stories are dedicated for: only their opinion really matters.

You know, people just don’t see the point of invisibility.

When the youtube video is “HOW TO MAKE YOUR BOOBS LOOK BIGGER | How To Contour Your Boobs”, I definitely had to watch that in full for research to make sure my character is properly accenting out hers in my story.

Today I learned that apparently it’s legal to marry one’s first cousin in the UK (per a google search).

Sometimes, the title writes the story itself (from an advice column): “I’ve Been Having Hot Sex With My Boyfriend and His Brother--I don’t want it to end after lockdown.”

I don’t really get dystopian scifi. Isn’t the real world bad enough? Or is the idea to make the real world look better by comparison?

Wow! It’s been a while! So the second installment to my Saiyuki (fanfic) series is 98% finished. The person the story was gifted for gave me some additional feedback so I just gotta quick make some changes to the ending. Until then, 8 chapters are posted on AFF with 7 more to go. I’m glad she liked it despite it being way different than she originally requested.
