You shouldn’t need a bunker for shelter, she ought to be comfortable and alright in her own home.  It sounds otherwise, by folks who believe in July 4th being a 48 hour event, for both the day of, and because it’s July 4th *somewhere*, or those that decide “week of” is close enough, light them off, because nobody needs to sleep, right?  Sigh….

The vets where I live have been putting out a lot of dos and donts about dog cooling, and some people actually have to be told that when the fucking road is melting it’s a bad idea to walk a dog bare footed on it.
I hope she gets through it ok.

I know they say you don’t feel pain, but she’s so anxious afterward. She’s started on the rescue meds, in addition to the usual cocktail of antiseizure meds, so let’s hope this nips it in the bud, before we have a full-blown episode that requires a trip to the hospital for her. The air conditioning’s going full blast, and we’ll just keep her cool and hydrated.
It’s not fair, though. It’s just not fair.

Don’t worry, if it’s too cold, there’s a place near Antarctica called “Shag Island” (at 3C/37F), should be a good location … free plot bunny to anybody wanting it.

We can occasionally drop down to 0 overnight, but never ever during the day.  Some shit has gone seriously wrong if it ever did that.

Think I’ll celebrate by looking at p...I mean doing story related research to verify that the body proportions I write are reasonably in line with hordes of reference material.

Thanks BronxWench and Desiderius Price for the well wishes! I still can hardly believe I made it to 100k. I don’t get many reviews in the review section of my story, but I do have quite a few regulars who comment in the Billion Dollar Harem thread on the forum so that’s nice. When I started BDH 2  years ago, I never thought it would be successful. It was just something I did for my own amusement and to practice writing. But as the story started to gain dragon prints, it was always my goal to reach 100k. I’m so happy that I finally got there. Hopefully, in time, you both reach the goals you’ve set for your own stories too. Thanks again, and good luck to you both.

Found a cooler spot for you @WillowDarkling  McMurdo is at -24C, overcast with a 12mph wind (according to weather underground), some traveling required to get there.

Jeeze-louise!  You’re going to have to start sacrificing stuff to the weather gods for it to be a tad cooler in August. I can survive up to 36°C, that’s it… none of that “feels like 46°C” stuff… 36°C is Neko melting point… O.O 

You’re actually not exaggerating if you’re talking about full sun temperature rather than shade temperature.

@Melrick you typically get 50-60 down there, right?  Or, maybe I’m exaggerating a tad….

@WillowDarkling  Be careful there… aren’t Icelanders made of ice?

@BronxWench  Yep.  “Only a couple times during the summer” … BS, near-daily, especially when it’s hot outside.  “Only a couple of degrees” … I go up 4-5, which is miserable because I tend to keep the temperature on the high side already (so that it’s comfortable).  And, with the cut in A/C, the humidity goes up (I tend to use the A/C more for humidity control than temperature).  Been tempted to “reroute” the thermostat for ages, maybe I should….

I am so going to die when I come to visit…

I was in Toronto once on Canada Day, and I must say, everyone was just really happy and really nice. Here on the 4th, we tend to focus on beer and blowing off digits with fireworks. We need more bear and moose (and why, oh why, do I do this to myself, because now all I can hear in my head is Boris Badanov talking about Moose and Squirrel?)

And here all I have is bunnies and groundhogs. LMAO!
