I don’t really have to grow up, do I? 

I’ve always tended to get along better with people much older or younger than I am. Two people who are really good friends of mine aren’t even teens yet; they’re my godfather’s grandchildren, so it’s not all that weird for me to be friends with them. The rest of my friends are usually older than me by a good bit, save for the very few who are actually close to my age. The ones who are close to my age can be counted on less than one hand.

::nods::  My daft bugger is actually 6 years younger than me, and the truth is he’s always been far more… (I should be nice and say mature, but we call him The Old Man for a reason) stodgy.  But I have friends ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s, because I find them interesting and because I have always thought age was largely a state of mind. 

I’m actually in a relationship with someone about a decade older than me. It may be because of how my mind is, so I’m somewhere flickering between barely able to tolerate people my own age and just wanting to be with someone who holds the same relationship interests as I do that’s more than just sex. Age gaps in relationships aren’t really bad as long as it doesn’t cross over into that messed up pedophilia territory.
