Oh, man, Umid is literally droolworthy. I have no idea why I didn't do this right off the bat, but I have another pose of his for the new one coming out in February. He's now the face (and other yummy bits) of that series.

So, yet again, the damned refrigerator has decided keeping things cold is not its role in life. Parts are on order, and contrary appliances will be shown their place. In the meantime, I have another fridge in the living room. :headdesk:

I did most of the cooking last night. The lasagne is prepared and only needs baking (2 pans of it), and the filling for the steak, mushroom, and onion pie is done. All I need to do is prepare the pie crusts, fill, and bake. I have Italian bread, salad, and lots of nibbly things, as well as a case of wine, hard cider, Guinness, beer, and Campari. The place is mostly tidy, and I’m ready!

Well, that was fun… Anyone else feel the earthquake that just rocked the Northeast area?

It wasn’t a tremendously big earthquake as these things go, but for our area, it was enough to be felt. The initial quake felt somewhat like being on a ship, to be honest. Everything moved just enough to make you think you needed to get your sea legs. There was one aftershock, in the evening, that was similar, but most of the aftershocks weren’t noticeable. And fortunately, there was very minor damage closer to the epicenter, and no deaths.
This was actually my third earthquake in NYC. The first one was in 1985, and that one rattled the glassware. It was only 4.0, but the epicenter was closer to the city. There was one in 2011, and we didn’t even feel that one. We were actually at the pool, and someone saw it on Facebook.

Had a wonderful time at RennFaire yesterday. I wish I could spend a week there instead of just one day, but maybe I'll go back one more time this year.

There is nothing worse than a sick fur-baby. My wee corgi lass is apparently epileptic, and we need to start her on phenobarbitol for her seizures.

Sadly, the meds weren't fast enough, and we've had to admit her to the hospital. She's in ICU, and sedated while they try to bring her seizures under control. She's only 16 months old, my poor lass...
