So on the way home from a day trip yesterday I did re-listen to “The Loud House After Dark” and it was as lovely as ever. Thanks again for tying together so many delicious little stories so beautifully.

I was reading the comments on a news article today, and someone mentioned that in Greek mythology, the male gods (chiefly Zeus) often lied for sex with women or raped them outright. Then another poster asked, “What if the version of Greek mythology that was passed down to us was the rule 34 fanfic of its time”?

What happens when I make my grocery list in Google Docs on my phone:
I start typing “bread”; phone suggests “breasts.”
I start typing “half-and-half”; phone suggests “half-assed.”

Have I mentioned that no one should ever borrow my phone?

Spent 45 minutes hanging out under a bridge today. Note to self: Check the friggin’ forecast before you decide to take your bike to work. 

So my dad died recently. He was very old, and was refusing treatment because he was tired of how debilitated he had become, so I’m at peace with it. He had a good life. But this morning, I had my first “I have to remember to tell him about...oh, wait, I can’t” moment, and that made me a little sad.

Never, ever borrow my phone.

I’m trying to fill a position at work, and today someone named Marcia Brady applied. Kismet?

You know you’re a total dweeb when you keep having to go back to Wikipedia for more information about stars, black holes, and particle physics for your porn stories. Maybe I should write a book: Everything I Know About Astrophysics I Learned From Porn.

I have to remember not to let other people use my phone to send texts or emails. I’ve used it so much for porn writing that the thing keeps suggesting “fucking” as the next word.

Eddie Forever is finished! 177 manuscript pages, 64,000 words. Whew!

You know you’ve been writing too much porn when you start ranting to your spouse about how Google Docs spellcheck marks “panting” as misspelled and wants to correct it to “painting.”

My The Loud House fanfic “Whoops” surpassed 30,000 hits yesterday, which is more than double the number for any other fanfic I’ve ever written (and a lot of those have been posted for years). Not sure why this one is so popular, but I ain’t complainin’.

“Comfort and Joy” is finally done! And only 8 days after Christmas.

Seems I spoke too soon about “Comfort and Joy”; chapter 4 needs a lot of rehab. Maybe by New Year’s...

It looks like I’m actually going to finish my Christmas story “Comfort and Joy” before Christmas. Of course, I originally planned to have it finished before LAST Christmas, but you know...

had forgotten how poignant military funerals are ... my granddad, a bronze star veteran, was greeted at the cemetery by a full honor guard. It was even more touching when the lead officer stepped forward to inform the family that he had known my granddad from the railroad so long ago. There is some so very moving and touching at the sound of taps being played while the flag is so ceremoniously and reverently folded ...

taking a hopefully short sabbatical from fictional things. Work crazy busy. Granddad passed away. Kids' activities heating up. Racing season starting. Better busy than bored, right? Dammit, right?

Why in the hell does everyone think what I do is so damn easy? Two freakin' hours editing someone's work and I'm nowhere near done. This is not going to work. Head desk, repeat.

Ohhh, I can't wait, just found out that my first neice or nephew is gonna be a little girl... 4 and a half months(ish) til I get to meet her!!! Soooo excited!!!
