  1. Challenges and Request Forums. This is where you can post challenges to writers, or request stories to be written based on your ideas. If you want to take up a challenge or request, it is permitted for the original poster and the author to discuss ideas and how to progress the story. It is recommended that once an author has taken up a challenge or request, and posted the story, s/he post a link to the story in the relevant Challenge or Request thread, and then create a Review Response thread in the appropriate forum, where readers and author are welcome to discuss the story at any length. It is NOT permitted to post random, unrelated ideas, or hijack a thread to come up with new ideas, no matter whether they are related to the original post or not. If the writer who takes up the challenge asks for input, keep it to the point, and do not derail the discussion, and allow the author time to respond. The Challenges and Requests forum is NOT meant to be used like some sort of a think tank with endless ideas being thrown out, but no one taking up the challenge. If you have an idea, create your own thread to post your ideas, and wait for someone to take up the challenge.
  2. The problem is that this is a Challenge and Request Forum. That means that it is a place for people to post ideas for stories that they want to see written, because they either don't have time to do it themselves, do not think they can do the idea justice, or feel that their writing is lacking in some way, so others could do a better job of it. Or simply they are not writers themselves and want to offer their ideas up for writers to play with. Challenges and Requests are meant to be answered, and taken on. That means, you read the original post, you like the idea, and you offer to write the story. It's simple and easy. This is NOT a place for a group of people to spout random ideas (no matter if they are in line with the original post or not). All I have seen in over 400 replies to this thread is a group of people adding their ideas to the original, many of them seemingly random, and not even remotely related to the original post. I don't think I've seen anyone offer to actually write this story for the Original Poster. It is one thing for a writer offering to write the story and the original poster to discuss the development of the story in this forum, with input from a few souls who have expressed an interest in the idea. What I perceive to be going on in this thread, is a completely different thing.
  3. Jojo, this also falls under the behavior that you have been warned about.
  4. I want to remind everyone, again, to keep this thread on point, and in line with the Original Post! If this random posting of unrelated "ideas" doesn't stop, I'll be forced to take some sort of severe action. If you have ideas that you want to see written, make your own thread!

  6. Please be clear whether you are looking for specific stories, or recommendations for stories containing these elements, or making challenges/requests for stories to be written with these parameters.

  17. There don't seem to be any Nightmare Before Christmas stories in our Archive. And it's actually categorized under "Cartoons" in the Archives… But if anyone knows about stories posted on other sites, they are welcome to let you know here.

  22. I want to remind everyone, especially Guest-Lord of Lust, since s/he is writing the story, that the challenges forum is not to be used for story discussions. So I suggest the author make a Review Response thread in the appropriate forum, and any further discussion about the story can be continued there.
