    Saw your post on the thread concerning your user profiles, and BronxWench has answered that for you. I cannot see user emails, so all I could do was find profiles with that pen name and similar ones and post those for BronxWench to look at. She has more access to the archive than I do, so she will take care of merging those two profiles for you. 

    And I urge any users who may have saved a copy of your stories, or have links to something like the WaybackMachine to please let JennyPenny know, and offer her copies of her stories.

  14. User with multiple profiles and looking for lost stories

    I came across this post in the searching for a story forum: http://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/topic/69628-looking-for-many-of-my-lost-fics/?tab=comments#comment-433691 

    User says they are looking for their own stories, and when I checked the archive, I found four different profiles with that user name, linked below, in order of age:

    http://members.adult-fanfiction.org/profile.php?no=1296904106  since 2011

    http://members.adult-fanfiction.org/profile.php?no=1297000977&view=story   since 2020

    Only the older two profiles have stories attached to them. And the link provided in the oldest profile to the Pit only yields a Username, with no stories attached to it, and last updated in 2014. 

    I have left instructions to check on this post, and provide Bronxie with information on which profile to keep. Let’s hope the user does as instructed.

    I think you’ll need to provide our Head Archive Moderator with information to confirm which of the four member profiles with the username JennyPenny (one with the numbers 924 after the name) are yours, and then talk to her about which account you would like to keep, since we only allow one member profile per user.

    I had to remove the link, since it went back to the WayBack machine. We do not allow links to webarchives, where the story has been posted by anyone other than the author. 

    Even if the author gave readers three months to copy and download the story, those three months have passed. And it doesn’t mean that s/he wanted readers to pass the story around

    First of all, your first post was deleted by the forum admin, and he has a zero tolerance policy with posts of that nature, so he just deletes them outright without explanation. 

    I tend to leave a rather curt message when I have to delete a second post of the same or similar nature, just to prevent repeated offences and so I don’t have to lock the thread. 

    Secondly. At the top of the forum, we have a section called Please Read. In that section you can find the Forum FAQs. There, you will find the following: http://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/topic/17788-a-story-in-the-archive-is-gone-can-i-ask-someone-to-send-me-a-copy/ 

    And finally, but most importantly. It is clearly stated at the top of the Searching for a fic? forum, as well as at the top of the Naruto subforum, in NO uncertain terms:

    If you know the piece of fiction that someone is searching for is removed from the site, but you retained a personal copy, please do not pass the story around. If the story is taken down either by the Author or Moderator staff there is a reason behind it that must be respected.

    Posting links to a web archive falls under this rule. The story has been deleted from the internet, therefore it should not be passed around in any form. 

    And this is not reason to ban you.

    We do not allow links or directions to sites or web archives where the story has been posted without the original author’s permission.
