I’m glad it finally worked!
- Today
-
I had, yes. Whatever was hanging it up seems to abruptly resolved; on the third try on both machines just now it went through, so I'm not sure why the first attempts didn't work. Maybe I had to do the ritual public abasement first? For whatever reason, I'm in now. Thank you!

Are you trying to access the site from the main page? https://www.adult-fanfiction.org/
-
I did also try on a computer with attached keyboard (Firefox). Clearing cookies, etcetera didn't get it to work there, either, and the CTRL + F5 isn't working on that when I try.

Hi, I'm having the same problem, and deleting cache and cookies didn't help. Unfortunately I'm working from a tablet that quite literally does not have a CTRL key. Are there any other possible workarounds? Thank you.

George Glass' Review Responses -- Original Fiction
GeorgeGlass replied to GeorgeGlass's topic in General
@JayDee Re: “You Were Warned” You Were Warned by George Glass I was really aiming to reference horror movie tropes rather than specific movies. Fun fact: This is why there’s such a thing as freelance archaeologists. I think I had just recently seen a bit of the movie Nightbreed and was thinking of that one guy with tentacles that can pull out someone’s eyes. The original Scream is my all-time favorite horror movie—partly for that reason. Thank you! And thanks so much for the review. -

That won’t work well for your writing. Or maybe you could write about happy things?
-
Are you doing this at the root? https://www.adult-fanfiction.org Don’t do it from a subdomain.
-
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!! ❤️

Ah shucks, that kinda thing might chip away at my deep seated self loathing!

Update; I can now click it but comes back up asking me again

I activated your account manually, so you should be able to proceed.

Thank you both for responding. In my (partial) defence, if I click on ‘archive’ at the top of this page it takes me to the age-verification page where I’m stuck. I see that the page is titled ‘News’ in the tab identifier but it’s not what comes up when I searched for news on the site search tool and it’s no use for getting to any information if you first have to pass the age-verification WHICH DOES NOT WORK. Given the complications and my personal lack of sophistication, and that there is only one story on this site that I’m currently following, I think I have no alternative but to leave it unless or until I find another browser that I can start afresh with. I might just say as farewell that I have followed literally hundreds of sites in 30 years of using the iinternet and this kind of problem has never arisen before. Thank you for all your efforts.

As @BronxWench said, there is a difference between clearing cache and clearing history. You want to clear the cached images and files.

I activated the account. Now try it.

Given the current tech market, might be the way we’re all heading.

InBrightestDay's (Originals) Review Reply & Discussion Thread

I’m sorry it took me a few days to get to this, but I discovered that @GeorgeGlass left a review for Meaningful Gifts! Thank you! 😊 It took me longer than anticipated to write it, even just considering this year, but I’m glad the extra time paid off! Thanks again! This in particular means a lot to me because it was one of the main focuses during the writing process. I don’t want to repeat what I said responding to JayDee too much, but the thing that kind of made this story, at least when it formed in my head, was that it’s the story of a life together. Lexi and Drew are siblings who, partly due to an unpleasant childhood, have been developing into a couple over the course of many years, so all of those little moments of deepening intimacy between them were an integral part of the story for me, and I’m really glad that worked for you. 😄 Yeah, I was trying to sketch out differences over the siblings, and when I wrote in Lexi drinking coffee as the mandatory Folgers Christmas commercial reference, it felt like a perfect opportunity to describe her little brother finding it gross. I’m really happy I finally got to show it to you all. Thanks for the review!
