Did restart browser after clearing cache and cookies, even did ctrl f5, but again still no go on clicking I’m over 18 button.

Incognito mode is a browser setting. You would need to go into your setting on Chrome itself, and make sure you are not browsing in incognito mode. I would also recommend allowing third party cookies for the moment until you have logged in. You can turn them off again after you’ve accepted the AFF cookies at login. It’s also possible that any ad blockers you might be using could be causing an issue. You might consider whitelisting AFF on your ad blockers, or turning them off until you’ve logged in for the first time.

I didn’t even get to the point where I could accept cookies in Incognito mode.. The Yes button does not work to even continue. It has to be something systemic as it doesn’t work in any browser but it works on my phone.

DO NOT use the Incognito option while accepting the cookies and getting the new software going for you. Once you have done that, you can go back to it.

Don’t use the incognito window for this part. Once you get it all set and get past this, then you can go back to that.

That’s odd. I cannot replicate this issue. I will ask manta to look at it as well.

Just wanted to mention that adult-fanfiction is putting up an age verification screen, and not allowing me past it (for the record I have been able to assert, truthfullly, that I am over 18 for well over 50 years!). Do you or any other readers have any suggestions, on top of trying again later? Thanks David in the UK

Did all of these things and it still doesn’t work. - Cleared cache and cookies for all time - Restarted browser (Chrome) - Used incognito window - Tried Edge The “No, I’m not 18” button works. The “Yes” one does not.

Not working for me either. Cleared cache and cookies for all time. Using Chrome. Even tried an Incognito window as well as Edge. The no button works but the Yes I am does nothing.

If you haven’t closed the browser and restarted it, you should do so. If you have closed and restarted the browser, and still can’t access the site, you can try using CTRL + F5 to force a reload of the browser. That may clear up the issue and ensure the cache and cookies are properly deleted.

I just tried it. No effect. I’m having the same issue on my phone (also using Chrome). Edit: I just tried accessing the archive in Firefox and had the same problem.

I use Chrome, I only in the the last 2 hours cleared cookies etc however I can not click the I am over 18 button at all.

I understand. I knew Manta was involved heavily in site-related matters, and you’ve always been around as well, whether you were formally working here or just struggling to survive your job (I’ve been there). My apologies for not also mentioning Bronx and @Melrick Thank you. I don’t know everyone here, and I don’t always talk, but this is also how I feel about this site. thank you for all that you’ve done for the site, and as with all the others, even if I don’t really say too much, please know how grateful I am for all of it. ❤️

I think all of us on staff feel the same way about the site. It’s a home online for us all, and we all want to make this site a haven for our members. We all have each other’s backs, and honestly, I can’t imagine not being a part of AFF. And that goes for all our members, too. I’ve gotten to know some of you, and I thoroughly enjoy feeling like I can make friends here like all of you.

Manta is our coder and when she makes a suggestion about site code, I listen to her. While I was working abominable hours, BronxWench and all the other moderators picked up the slack for me. For years, all I did was work and sleep. I certainly appreciate the acknowledgement, but, there are others more deserving of it, such as manta2g, BronxWench, Melrick, etc. I’ve only just recently (the past few months) become more active like I should be. It’s taken over a year to recover from the years of overwork.
