  2. Hey everyone, I’d like to open this thread for anyone who has felt mentally or emotionally overwhelmed by work. Burnout can affect people in different roles and industries, and often it’s not easy to recognize until it starts impacting daily life. I’m currently looking into this topic and would appreciate honest stories and perspectives from the community. Let’s keep this space open, supportive, and respectful for anyone dealing with stress, exhaustion, or loss of motivation at work. To help guide the discussion, here are a few questions you can reflect on: Early Signs: What were the first signs that work stress was becoming too much? Work Factors: Which responsibilities or workplace conditions contributed the most? Impact: How did burnout affect your mood, energy, or ability to focus? Coping: What helped you regain balance or start feeling better? Support: Did coworkers, managers, or people close to you offer support? Feel free to share your experience or any advice you think could help others. Sometimes talking about it is the first step toward recovery sportideas.eu.

  4. When I say, “The world would work better if women were in charge,” I mean just about anyone but me. Why? First fact: It’s “my job” to make sure that all the lights are off and doors are locked when we go to bed because my husband will zombie walk right past a door that is standing open. Second fact: we go to bed when the sun is still up and wake up after dark so customers of my husband’s store can panic-buy their milk, eggs, and bread at the crack of dawn. This means when I check the back door, I get blinded by sunlight through the kitchen window if I’m up too late.

Well, a few minutes ago, I flipped the switch on my way out of the room, but the light only got brighter. I spent probably about a minute and a half squinting at the glowing boob-light, wondering what sort of black magic electrical fuckery I was in for now, and contemplating what a sledgehammer would do to the fugly glass shade. Then…it hit me, just like a sledgehammer.

Y’all. I just tried to turn off the sun. With a light switch. And got pissy when flipping the switch just made the room brighter. So, yeah. Just about any woman except me. I would do my level best only to get knocked down by a barrage of blonde moments. I’d attempt to bring about real, needed legal, societal, and economic change. Instead, I’d get hung up on ridiculous things like declaring boob-lights and whining electric cords illegal and enacting laws decreeing that pets are taxable dependents and people can be considered pets if they’re not fully housebroken. The world would burn.

  5. So, getting some running around done, so I don’t have to deal with the chickens and the snow….

Ye gods...you’d think they never saw the stuff before. 🤣

  6. I have an idea that I’ve been playing with. One is a Buffy crossover and the other is sorta similar to the Gehanna story that’s already up on the site. Seems like there was collaboration on that story. But mine has a slightly different twist.
  7. So… happy endings?
  8. One time I got into a really fowl mood and wrote that Naruto turned into a chicken story. I tried. They stopped me, shook their heads, said “Write what you know.”
  9. ...well, damn, that does make much more sense. In my defence poetry critical thinking is waaaaaaay down my ability scale. Also normal critical thinking. Some might even say just thinking. Makes sense. You just don’t tend to think hiring one would be a good idea until you’re turning the Earth for potatoes and whoops there’s a plague ridden femur. I liked it, but I also have a soft spot for the original Scary Movie too No worries!
  10. A couple of questions: What’s the pen name you use in the archive? Are you trying the login from the main page? https://www.adult-fanfiction.org/
  11. i’m having this same issue were you able to find a work around?

  14. Dunno, I’ve have some good writing sprints while in a foul mood.
  15. I’m glad it finally worked!
  16. I had, yes. Whatever was hanging it up seems to abruptly resolved; on the third try on both machines just now it went through, so I'm not sure why the first attempts didn't work. Maybe I had to do the ritual public abasement first? For whatever reason, I'm in now. Thank you!
  17. Are you trying to access the site from the main page? https://www.adult-fanfiction.org/
  18. I did also try on a computer with attached keyboard (Firefox). Clearing cookies, etcetera didn't get it to work there, either, and the CTRL + F5 isn't working on that when I try.
  19. Hi, I'm having the same problem, and deleting cache and cookies didn't help. Unfortunately I'm working from a tablet that quite literally does not have a CTRL key. Are there any other possible workarounds? Thank you.
  20. @JayDee Re: “You Were Warned” You Were Warned by George Glass I was really aiming to reference horror movie tropes rather than specific movies. Fun fact: This is why there’s such a thing as freelance archaeologists. I think I had just recently seen a bit of the movie Nightbreed and was thinking of that one guy with tentacles that can pull out someone’s eyes. The original Scream is my all-time favorite horror movie—partly for that reason. Thank you! And thanks so much for the review.
  21. Yesterday
  22. That won’t work well for your writing. Or maybe you could write about happy things?
  23. Are you doing this at the root? https://www.adult-fanfiction.org Don’t do it from a subdomain.
  24. No problem!
