  2. Thank you for the answer. I used a different browser and now things seem to work, but there’s just one issue: when I try to sign on as an author, it tells me it’s sending a confirmation email to my email that I need to confirm before it’ll allow me to log-in, but I’ve waited a couple of hours and the email hasn’t arrived.
  3. 170k words is the current estimate for the whole story. That is a good idea. Pretty many spin offs possible if I get eager to return to the characters. I totally agree. My favorites were Grand Central Station and walking the streets around Central Park. I walked the streets because I visited a house there. I could draw on that experience when I later wrote one of the scenes for my G,S,P story. The story never explains why he was at Beckomberga. I have a vague idea that this story should be linked to my story, "Can the Mirror see the Moment?" but I don’t know whether I will write the spinoff or focus on other things. Considering how quickly the ghost adapts to technology, it would make sense that he is from the 1970-1990 time period. The hospital closed in 1995, but the famous lobotomizations happened much earlier. A possibility for why he was locked up was that he lost control over the dildo magic and couldn’t really control himself...but that would imply he was from a much earlier time period. I don’t think people from 1970 would lock somebody up for nymphomanic behavior. I saw you have already reviewed the next chapter, but the comment on that will have to wait until later, as the bed calls me.

  5. Numbers…. for several mine (I generally record in the mornings): Dale’s Game – Jan 1st @ 3704. 20th @ 3711. 28th @ 3791 Repair Guy – Jan 1st @ 5087. 20th @ 5099. 28th @ 5238. Jefferey – Jan 1st @ 19218. 20th @ 19261. 28th @ 19514. Thus, many dozens/hundreds. So if it’s genuine on the increase, that’s good. If it was, for whatever reason, being under-counted before, and that’s fixed, that’s good. My worry was it being bogus due to a glitch as I know how code can go.
  6. I’m curious what you mean by general increase. Hundreds of new views? Thousands? How much is lots of new registrations? If you can’t say, that’s fine but you’ve got me curious.
  7. I think I have old fashioned review reply links at the bottom of all mine anyway, so I’ll leave mine down the depths of the site where they belong! I can start updating it for any new stories though
  8. Reviewer: Stella5567 Thanks for your comments on “One Thing Leads to Another,” “Smooshed, or, The Nine Wives of Marco Diaz,” “Retro,” and “Itch Versus Scratch”! You mentioned liking how “Smooshed” was organized. I really appreciate that, because that story took more planning than just about any other fanfic I’ve written.
  9. Re: “Traffic Stop” No, I just added a link so that clicking the “Review Replies” button opens this thread, and that moved the story to the top of the list.

  12. That is on purpose, to reward authors and encourage them to go back and update older stories to use new site features.

  14. This morning, I added Review Replies links to several of my stories, and tonight I noticed that making that one little change pushed those stories to the top of their respective categories.
  15. This post steps you through the entire process. The front page is https://www.adult-fanfiction.org https://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/ is the root page for the forum
  16. Hi, I just have a little something to add here, it’s that I recently tried to sign in, but before I could see anything, the steps I had to take or any of that (I heard something in the forums about cache resetting?), I clicked the green I Am Of Age button over and over, and it’d flash, disappear for a moment, then reappear again and the whole back of the page would be dark again. I got rid of it with the Zapper element but it still meant the links on the upgrade complete tutorial were unclickable. It’s only because I had a thought of trying to visit the forums that I was able to come here and get further information. Now I need to figure out what the cache reset steps are, I still don’t know how to access that link or if someone has posted it here. I can access the forums but not the website proper. Edit: Oh, and just going directly to the front page https://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/ just gives me a totally blank page. .
  17. That could be part of it. The improvement in people’s ability to find what they’re looking for might have been to the benefit of a potential Google search. They like more organized content for people and for their options. But it’s definitely in part people just using the site. Also could just be people excited about the new version of the site, playing around with it.

  19. There isn’t unfortunately, I can see general site wide traffic as well as new registrations. As far as google is concerned, the age verify pretty much stops it in its tracks. The improved archive search is much more reliable as people can search/filter by content tags on their own meaning more people actually find the content they are looking for.
  20. Hmm, could just be that it’s being seen better by Google? Is there a place to see how much traffic has increased for your story? I did notice that one of my story seems to have a large number of readers but I can’t remember what it used to be. It was a pretty popular story.
  21. Follow the directions given below to get past the “I’m 18” thing. You are setting a new site cookie to allow access. First thing, before you proceed. DO NOT use anonymous browsing for this part. You can go back to it afterwards. Be sure to do this from the main page: https://www.adult-fanfiction.org No matter WHICH browser, you must clear cache and cookies for ALL TIME. If you are using Apple products, you must clear cache in all your devices as the products link together. After doing the clear, close and restart your browser. Finally, you need to force refresh. (Press Ctrl+F5) That should fix the issues. You should be able to proceed once you do that. If you’re getting an error about activation, go to the register link and select the drop down option of “resend activation”. Remember, major software changes generally do require this sort of action. If, after all this, you’re still experiencing issues with the age verification, in Chrome/Edge, press F12 to access the console. You’ll see the exact error being generated. Let us know what it is. If you are experiencing bugs, please post them to the bug tracker. What we will need from you are specific steps you took to get the error, and screen shots if you are able. This will help in getting everything fixed, if there are bugs.
  22. Please read the directions 2 replies above you. That will sort out your issues.
  23. Re: “Precocious” CattHead January 25, 2026 at 12:00 AM Thank you! Including Buddy in this story seemed like an absolute must in terms of telling Opal and Evie’s origin story. Pretty much by the time I finished writing chapter 5, I’d decided to write a story about exactly that at some point in the future. Thanks for the review!
