It’s definitely a skin issue with the theme. I get the same issues as you when I run the page in the AFF New 2 (default) theme. AFF IVPB4, AFF New, and Dynamic Theme don’t give me those issues. In other words, it’s not Firefox… it’s the theme. Try switching to one of the themes that are working for me, and see if that helps.

I’m not sure which one but it’s whatever the basic one. As far as I know I haven’t changed it from whatever the one is the default. It’s certainly possible that this is a browser problem on my end. I only started noticing this when I did a completely new reinstall of the system I’m using and installed the newest version of Firefox. Before I did this, I didn’t see anything like this except that I couldn’t do a personal status update post like many of you do. I still can’t. Also, not to put more into the issue, but there’s this.

I thought I should point this out too. This was the case before bringing this up, but since we’re already on the topic. Maybe this is just me and other people aren’t seeing it. But it’s very odd that I’m seeing it.

I was part of a cooperative writing project there for a bit (I swear, my life is a wild sequence of “this is going to take a while to explain,” events), so I peeked back in from time to time. It’s been a few months, so I don’t remember precisely, but I believe what happened was that the lease on the site/server/what have you ran out, and the person funding it simply decided not to renew it.

I had some luck with changing the theme on the forum home page. I use Chrome as my browser, and the AFF IVPB4 theme is displaying correctly for me.

For the typos, sure, but my understand is that the alignment part is more a function of the browser. Whatever works though.

If it helps, I use Firefox primarily and haven’t had much issue until recently when I installed the latest version. I have some knowledge of how it all works and that might be part of it.

That’s punctuation and spacing issues I told Manta I’d fix. Sorting out my connectivity so that I can. I HATE my ISP.

Just thought I would point out a weird thing I’ve noticed lately. Not an urgent issue necessarily but in case it’s something that should be fixed. Here are a screenshot of the type and then the alignment thing. Obviously not a serious issue, but I thought it should be offered.

45589! Behold! the Glory of Nine the last odd ina sequence before it all begins a new!

I’ve been working on something and debating whether or not to include a chapter featuring a particular character. It’s a fandom with multiple spinoffs. I had kinda decided not to include the spinoffs in the story but as I’m planning the last chapter, it felt like it would be fun. To slip it in there just for the reference. Maybe even have two main characters from the spinoffs appear. Part of the issue is given the situation that’s been presented, I don’t know that everything completely makes sense. Basically, the main characters of the main show become employees at one of the canon businesses in that show. But there aren’t enough employees for a full staff if I’m thinking about it with logic. So if I add these other characters, it would be slightly more plausible that the business could function with the employees that have been established through the cameos. But I feel like it might come out of left field for these other characters to just suddenly show up. So are you for or against a throw away cameo in general? Do you prefer when things make more sense or if the story is fun, are you fine with it not making sense?
