Your old password should still work, and you should be able to log in if you follow the steps outlined. If you normally browse in incognito mode, you will need to turn that off just when logging in for the first time, so you can set the site cookies. After you log in successfully, you can resume browsing incognito with no problems.

Easy to do, and hopefully was an easy fix! Unlike that time I added an extra space to some code and, long story short, there’s a piece of land nobody can walk on for millions of years until the background radiation drops. 

Depends on the story. My very first two long form fics didn’t have happily ever after, but they were somewhat happy.

...eh, haven’t had a whole lot of ‘em. One of mine was so unhappy it inspired another writer to write both a oneshot really exploring the misery and a multiparter to give the plucky heroine a more upbeat fate. 
How’s about you. Favor the happily ever after?

One time I got into a really fowl mood and wrote that Naruto turned into a chicken story.
I tried. They stopped me, shook their heads, said “Write what you know.” 

Dunno, I’ve have some good writing sprints while in a foul mood.

If you can’t get it by FTP, is it even worth getting?

God we all missed you here, JayDee.  It really must be said. 😄

I imagine there are people who would be into chanting and incantations. Not to mention demons and dragons for some fun. I believe there are a couple stories on here which write about that.

Oh, it’ll be that newfangled alt.sex.stories over on that usenet I expect. I’ll get my 56k modem out and soon be speeding down the information superhighway!

I had assumed that speaking the incantation would summon dragons & demons… it’ll remain unspoken & unwritten here.

Incognito mode is a browser setting. You would need to go into your setting on Chrome itself, and make sure you are not browsing in incognito mode. I would also recommend allowing third party cookies for the moment until you have logged in. You can turn them off again after you’ve accepted the AFF cookies at login. 
It’s also possible that any ad blockers you might be using could be causing an issue. You might consider whitelisting AFF on your ad blockers, or turning them off until you’ve logged in for the first time.
