Nanaea Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 I am finally finished with DH! I am now slightly depressed. Quote
Guest Big Samurai Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 I am observing to Red that I do not consider EXA and Neo to be proper Shining Force games, though they still belong to the Shining series. (I am saying that this is because the Force games are traditionally tactics-based, and those two are anything but, though I am not denigrating their quality by saying so.) I am noting that I have also beaten the original X many times, but I was never lucky enough to have X2 and X3 on the SNES, since they were so hard to find. I am approving the X collection, as it is a great way to have a generally good series all in one place, save for X7 (not too great) and X8 (much, much better). Quote
redsliver Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 I am in complete agreement Sam, I was weaned on Shining Force 2, Phantasy Star IV, Final Fantasy III (VI) and Chrono Trigger. EXA is not a true Shining Force game. For one: Shining Force is an army not a sword. I am still recommending the game as its very fun. I am considering playing Shining Force 2 again as I want to see Odd-Eye again. Quote
Leonhart29 Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 I am feeling like writing. I am looking forward to sitting down and banging a chapter or two out, but not looking forward to something else I have to write. I am coming to the realization that sometimes you have to be a bitch to get your point across so you can stop hurting. Quote
redsliver Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 I am reading Call of Cthulhu by H P Lovecraft. Quote
Guest echtrae Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 I am in the process of reading the abandoned HP book. Quote
Leonhart29 Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am currently sitting at my computer and futzing about on the forum. Quote
redsliver Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am having Harry Potter Lovecraft plot bunnies, I'd best nip these in the bud. Quote
Nanaea Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am encouraging Red to explore his Lovecraftian HP plot bunnies fully. Quote
redsliver Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am thinking Cthulhu would be in Hufflepuff. Quote
Nanaea Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am noting that I am only familiar with Lovecraft's works in general; I've never read any of them. Quote
redsliver Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am just getting into them. I am a big fan of Call of Cthulhu already. I am usually attracted to short stories over epics. Quote
polywolly Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am finished with my (sort of) review of DH over in books. I am still giggling at Daz's spoiler alert. I am with Nan, but I think I feel weird (-er than usual) because the series is over. I am admitting to feeling heartened, and just a little bit, when I read news of the HPE. I am a little concerned about Red's plot-bunnies and suggest he have them tended to by a certified plot-bunny veterinarian, which I just happen to be, didn't you know? Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am wondering where Red's bunnies are going to lead him. I am now extremely curious. I am also seriously heartened by the news of the HPE. Quote
redsliver Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am not sure if The H (arry) P (otter) Lovecraft idea will take off as I'm getting things done on From the Looking Glass. I am just thinking it was best to share my idea because I thought it was funny. Quote
Guest Big Samurai Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am too tired to write very productively. I am not too tired to blow up giant robots, though. I am finding the idea of H(arry) P(otter) Lovecraft amusing. Quote
NightScribe Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I am not really familiar with Lovecraft I am saying that if it involves freaky, creepy, horrifying things, go for it I am stating that I had a blast doing it (all too briefly) in one of my HP fics I am telling Daz that SPOILER :Snape probably isn't dead. Too much reading between the lines evidence exists to suggest the opposite actually Quote
Leonhart29 Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 I am not a happy camper. I am informing y'all that I no longer have hot water as my hot water heater sprung a leak and flooded my kitchen. I am putting off calling my ex-stepdad for help. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 I am hoping the water problem is solved quickly for you Leon! I am telling NS SPOILER :I agree with you, he probably isn't dead, but at this point, with no further information, canon dictates he's a corpse. I am suffering from a serious case of insomnia and nothing seems to be helping. I am unfortunately not able, at the moment, to use my insomnia productively and get anything written. Quote
redsliver Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 I am SPOILER :saying the biggest hint he survived is that he didn't walk with Harry into the woods. I am watching Robot Chicken. I am dreaming of air conditioning. Quote
Leonhart29 Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 I am very happy to be home on a Friday afternoon. I am re-reading my Questions Saga so I can get busy with the next story. I am watching Oprah and wondering why they are talking about "where the poop goes" when you flush. Quote
Guest echtrae Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 I am done with reading the HP book. I am stating that I have completely read the first three and the last book of the series. Quote
redsliver Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 I am very knowledgeable where poop goes. I am not sure if that's brag-worthy. Quote
Leonhart29 Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 I am writing the first chapter in the next installment of Questions - and I'm already hitting a road block. Quote
dazzledfirestar Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 I am really hoping to get some sleep soon. I am happy that I know why I'm all sleepless right now. I am really sure no one wants to hear about that though. Quote
