Trouble with log in

Hello, I’ve been having trouble with the log in since 3 days or more, every time I try to log in it appears a message ‘Please activate your account first. Check your email for the activation link.’ 

But I already did long ago and no message shows in my mail box

I need to log in agan to manage my stories

Similar issue here, my account was recently reactivated but I cannot login, will not take my old password and no password reset link is getting emailed.

Have you followed the steps outlined in the most recent news article? You can read it here:  https://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/topic/77064-upgrade-complete/

Your old password should still work, and you should be able to log in if you follow the steps outlined. If you normally browse in incognito mode, you will need to turn that off just when logging in for the first time, so you can set the site cookies. After you log in successfully, you can resume browsing incognito with no problems.

My stupid state has decided that I have to have an age verification to see the site, but when I click on the ‘yes i’m 18’… i get nada. So not only can I not add to my stories, I can’t even see them anymore. I installed Nordvpn and it allows me to see pornhub of all things but not this… suggestions?

Forgot to add that my author name is Dagian, no Seren, profile info will talk about a busy doctors office, a goofy dog named Loki, and will have a picture of an elf holding a bow wearing blue armor...

AFF’s always had that prompt; it’s had an update that triggers even with a direct URL into the archives.  See all the mod posts about clearing/resetting browsers.

Your account had not been activated, which I’ve done for you. Now to get you into the account.

First thing, before you proceed.  DO NOT use anonymous browsing for this part.  You can go back to it afterwards.

Be sure to do this from the main page:  https://www.adult-fanfiction.org

1.   No matter WHICH browser, you must clear cache and cookies for ALL TIME.  If you are using Apple products, you must clear cache in all your devices as the products link together.
2.  After doing the clear, close and restart your browser.
3.  Finally, you need to force refresh.  (Press Ctrl+F5)

That should fix the issues.  You should be able to proceed once you do that.

If you’re getting an error about activation, go to the register link and select the drop down option of “resend activation”.

Remember, major software changes generally do require this sort of action.

If, after all this, you’re still experiencing issues with the age verification, in Chrome/Edge, press F12 to access the console.  You’ll see the exact error being generated.  Let us know what it is.

If you are experiencing bugs, please post them to the bug tracker.  What we will need from you are specific steps you took to get the error, and screen shots if you are able.  This will help in getting everything fixed, if there are bugs.
