Formatting problems with newlines/paragraphs

Hi, I just uploaded my first story from this account and I get bad formatting when splitting it into paragraphs.

I already tried editing it multiple times with different line-endings, multiple line-endings and inserting every newline by hand in the editor, but nothing worked.

Here is how it looks in the editor:

I am using VSCode as my text editor and am writing basically plain text (a Markdown .md file, but with no special markdown stuff), so I don’t know why the formatting is like that.

I use a text editor too (pluma, a fork of gnome-2’s gedit).  I process mine into HTML (got a makefile to remember the arguments); copy & paste from libreoffice, and it seems to come across fine.  Yeah, it’s a few steps, but it works.

Thank you very much, this actually worked!

And it really is not that annoying to do, I got an extension for converting the markdown to html, and then it’s just copy-pasting stuff.

Hi, all.

For what it’s worth, I just copy and paste from MS Word into the AFF editor box.  Sometimes, I have to fix a paragraph here or there, but nothing like you’re going through.

Same thing for me. MS Word works just fine for me, with almost no tweaking needed after I copy and paste.
